I like your roms lvsw they are of good quality!
however, one question, the new a2dp driver, is it supposed to enhance the audio? (eliminate the "hizzing" sound?)) *hoping*

well, the widcomm stack does it quite good with my headset (plantronics 260) however, there are issues with this stack, (for me it is mostly memory related..)
so any a2dp related drivers that might improve sound quality in the ms stack is welcome! Today I actually tweaked the ms stack so good it was almost bearable to listen to it.. (if using mortplayer and some equalizer tweaks)

First, thanks a million LVSW. Your ROMs have been great.

A request to this group please - Rapidshare says that I have reached the download limit for free users. Can someone please upload this somewhere else? I would very much appreciate this.

I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and would like to flash my TyTN before I leave. Thanks in advance for your help.

If you have a dynamic IP on your net connection reboot your router/modem. Hopefully you should get a new IP. also clear your cookies in your web browser

Yeah - I have the only cable company in the world that gives dynamic IP's which never change! :D I've had the same IP address for 5 years now. The only way to get a new address is to hookup a computer/device with a new mac address and then it assigns a new one but if you hook up the old device again, you get the first address back again! This is very good for a lot of things but sucks for rapidshare :D I guess I could always start trying to get my router to spoof it's mac address but I'm too lazy - it's easier to wait 2 hours then spoof an address and then try to climb behind my desk (no easy feat!) to reset my cable modem :)

Sadly I am now experiencing an issue with TOMTOM: it cannot find the maps & the voices... I am pretty sure he is looking in the bluetooth directory instead of the storage one. Is there a way for me to blast the bluetooth directory (which I don't use) to get tomtom working again?

Really TomTom looks for Maps in every storage of your PPC, so don't worry about Bluetooth folder. You can put one map in SD and another one in Extended (i've tested this with Madrid Map, with 4Mb only in extended).

I've TomTom 6.03 and works fine with this LVSW release.

Hello all ...

This is truly a great ROM. Installed it last night ... super fast and clean.

I have hit a snag though, and I am sure it is of my doing. My IE has stopped working. I have tried resetting the unit, and still no luck. It was working immediately after the install. Afterwards, I installed the shogun.cab from the Black 1.2 thread to install my ISP/MMS settings, and that was the last item I installed.

Although I do not think that is the reason why IE has stopped working, that is the only thing I installed afterwards. So I am stumped ...

Basically, whenever I try opening a page, it says Connecting .... then goes to Locating .... from there, I get an error message that says "The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again later." It does this for Wi-Fi and with ActiveSync connection when trying to connect to web pages.

I have looked across the forum and tried a search, but did not find any info. Any thoughts?

Again, this ROM is truly awesome. This is a super fast ROM and I highly recommend it.

Thanks,

Kangle

Many of us connect from work and because of the firewall none of the usual links work unti we go home.

This is a great help.

Does anybody knows what is the storage/program stats after a fresh install? The screenshot was not posted on the first posting and nobody has mentioned it.

Thanks

Thanks,

Kangle
Kangle,

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. I did a hard reset and everything was working after that.

If that does not work for you, the first posting has a link to wi-fi fix.

Give it a try.

Problem: Can not connect to any site using Wi-fi or activesync
Solution:
1. install the wi-fi fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301728)
2. hard reset the device

I tried both. It still doesnt let me connect via Wi-Fi or ActiveSync.

Thanks for the quick response. Any other thoughts, let me know.

That's kind the strange..I never had such issues with any of the LVSW biulds. Maybe you want to check the USB port and the setting on your router..just it without encryption to see if it works..then fine tune it after.

Hermes upgrade guide (http://www.mrvanx.myzen.co.uk/hermes_guide/lvsw/index.html) updated for the new LVSW. Enjoy ;)

@MrVanx - If I missed something, sorry, but it appears there is a discrepancy between your guide and what actually happens. My Hermes 100 has IPL 1.01 and SPL 1.04. Following your guide, since I don't have the hardSPL so I downloaded it as instructed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=36237&d=1175266093

The contained files are named differently from what is in the guide. Guide says: Romupgrade.exe, Ruuwrapper, LSD Creations. The file in the download is RUUWrapper, Custom RUU, XDA Developers. Anyhow, I tried running it and the menu is different from your guide. Specifically, the guide says to pick option 3 - SPL-1.11/1.13/1.30/1.35/1.40 New Bootloader. The file in the download does not offer that option.

I was able to follow the instructions in your generic guide here: http://www.mrvanx.myzen.co.uk/hermes_guide/HardSPL.html

Thought you should know that the link in the guide appears to be incorrect and sends noobs like me into a tailspin.

Thanks for all the hard work MrVanx & LVSW. Can't wait to get this up and running.

Has anyone had any success in getting VoIP to work with this ROM?? Installed the WM6VOIP.cab and the today screen appears etc, then installed my provisioning file, it installes successfully but the settings are not present.

Im guessing LVSW left something out when he cooked this???

Works good using Vonage.

@ kangle: If you are trying to solve a problem, it helps if you have your device info in your signature, or at least mention the info in your message. It also helps for those who have the same problem, and who are doing a search.

Specifically, I don't see "Cingular" anywhere in your posts. The only thing that tells us that is that you used the Shogun cab for the radio settings. Know what I mean? ;)

Anyway, the problem with wifi and Cingular settings has been discussed elsewhere - in a BE WM6 thread and I don't recall where else. I have posted on it and so have others. The thread may have been taken down after Jasjamming's burnout, however.

Long story short, this wifi/Cingular problem on WM6 is definitely a pain in the butt. My wifi runs fine as long as I don't put the Cingular settings in. As soon as I do, at best, wifi no longer works on PIE, at worst, my device locked up on Dutty's new WM6 ROM.

As far as I can tell, there is no definitive solution to be found in this forum. The workaround I have found is to use Opera, which for whatever reason, works just fine. Maybe other internet explorers will work as well, I don't know. PIE seems to be too dumb to figure out how to work with wifi when there are also Cingular settings installed on the device. What the hell, it's an M$ product, what can you expect?

By the way, sacosta's solution of hard reset wipes out the radio and wifi settings, so I don't know what he's getting at there, unless he doesn't put the radio settings back in, and just uses wifi, and the wifi driver LSVW included in the first post of this thread did nothing for me.

The Shogun cab seems to be the best one I have found, by the way, for putting in the Cingular settings, so I think you should be good with that one. Hold on to it, if you start flashing these ROMs! It's a pain to put the settings in manually, for sure!

Final word: Those of you with Cingular and having this wifi problem, please chime in, so we can get a feel for whether this is a widespread problem. If it is, maybe someone will take pity on us and figure out a real solution :(

I have no issues with wifi connectivity (using both LWSW, and now Black 2.0) .. and use cingular ... I can use PIE without a problem over wifi (though since I have goodlink installed, if I have goodlink running it keeps firing up the GPRS connection). With Goodlink off, however, I can connect to wifi and stay connected.

I re-flash/HR compulsively (just to try the latest flavor, or to fix some screwup I create when tweaking my device), and always use wpbear's settings files found here at this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296991) when I need to re-install my settings.

Is it just me because the PA WiFi toggle doesn't work even though it should have been fixed on this version, I've tried PA 1.35, 1.58 and beta 1.60 but still no joy. As I use this function a lot I've gone back to using LVSW 2007/04/05 test ROM it works fine on that version with a registry tweak and besides even though it was a test ROM I had no issues very stable and fast.

So unless there is tweak or patch I'm going to give it a miss on this version until the next one is due.

Once again thanks LVSW, you never stop. keep up the good work! when's the next version due any chances of it being the final or RTM :-)

I use Cingular and Wifi no prob. Obvious I used my own Cab for Gprs setup. I only use PIE. I made sure the wifi connects were set to' the internet' and not 'my work network'.

When I want to use PIE with wifi I just hold the red hangup button until th current gprs connection ends, then enable wifi, make sure it is connected. Then open PIE and my homepage loads from Wifi.

Odd thing. I have 3 other email accounts setup and running fine. Now all three of these get about 10 messages downloaded on the initial setup. I have my work email which downloads about 800 emails for the past 3 days and it downloads them but if you click on the email, it just turns the email to read (bold to un-bold). I've had this issue with each version of LVSW so far. If I remove my work email account, then all email accounts still don't open messages anymore. I have to reflash to correct it. Any ideas on this?

OMG I had been ignoring the "Programs that connect automatically to a private network" setting! I had been leaving it on My Work Network. Putting in WPBear's cab and changing that Networking setting it to "My ISP" did the trick.

I don't know why I had just ignored that setting. Seems to me that in WM5 if was connected to my home wifi, PIE automatically found it and ran with it. Maybe my memory is faulty. Well, not maybe. My wife tells me it is all the time. ;)

For you guys that have recently posted about this problem, go into your Network Settings and make sure you change that second drop-down window to My ISP, and let us know if that solves your problem.

This has been around since WM 2003 (Ithink that was the official name I always called it PPC 2003) I think it is just like GPRS where if you want to use a proxy you select "Work" I never use it, maybe I could figure out where the reg entry for it and add that to one of my HR install cabs so I dont have to change the setting ever again.

Thanks for the info. I understand what you mean about putting the appropriate information. I dont know why I didnt do that.

At any rate, it appears that the solution has presented itself. I already had reflashed the ROM and got PIE working again ... although I did not install the CAB to add the Cingular settings. I am not paying for unlimited data anyways ... Im currently off work for 6-8 weeks, and decided not to add it until I go back to work. But I wanted the settings to be in and ready to go for when I add it to my plan.

Ill go ahead and try what is mentioned above and see if it works.

Nice ROM indeed! I love the new com manager!
However, the improvement in AD2P is not good enough to my taste. I still prefer the Widcomm stack despite the issues that are loaded with it at the present time!

I do have one question. I loaded a video onto my SD card, it's about 70 megs. When I play it, it's very choppy, maybe 2 frames per second, maybe 3.

Is the issue the size of the file?

Shouldn't be, I play 300Mb files without a problem. More to do with either the software or the codec I'd say...

well, the widcomm stack does it quite good with my headset (plantronics 260) however, there are issues with this stack, (for me it is mostly memory related..)
so any a2dp related drivers that might improve sound quality in the ms stack is welcome! Today I actually tweaked the ms stack so good it was almost bearable to listen to it.. (if using mortplayer and some equalizer tweaks)

do you have the widcomm stack?
i'm interessing

Thanks!

Hey, am I the only one who has the issues with the key that has the little dot under the shift key not actually corresponding to the symbol it is supposed to?

Also, with the same 1.38 radio, it seems that reception is much worse than it was on the previous LSVW ROM... I'll look for which version I had in a little while... I've had a few dropped calls, and less bars than I've had previously... all while sitting in my office.

Anyone else notice either of these things?

Thanks

This the most stable and fastest ROM yet... A2DP no skips!

No freezes or lock-ups requiring soft-reset after shutting down a bluetooth connections (AS, A2DP, GPS).

Important: let the ExtROM run the updates after a hard reset -- these include key fixes to bluetooth, dial-pad, etc.

Many thanks LSVW!

How much free memory do you guys have when you aren't running any programs? And what today plugins are you using? I have very little memory almost all the time my phone is on. I guess it could be a memory leak but I'm not sure what program would be causing it.

What programs have you installed?

I have the previous version of LVSW's ROM and normally have 29Mb free for programs after a soft reset.

LOL, well that's your problem. All of those chew up memory especially Wisbar and the SPB programs. Anything that starts up when your PDA resets will take up some memory. It's for that reason that I got rid of propgrams like Wisbar and weather programs on my today screen. It's up to you whether you prefer speed or looks/features.

TheGenix
10th April 2007, 06:55 AM
Do you have any alternative suggestions for those types of programs or do you just not use them at all?

Oppressa
10th April 2007, 07:07 AM
With Wisbar you either use it or you don't. I found I just got tired of it and reverted back to the standard Pocket PC visual schemes. It's interesting and looks cool for a few days then you realise it's just causing your phone to lag.

I find that MobiMate's Worldmate takes up less memory than SPB's Weather plus it has more features like world clock, world currency converter and other converters.

PhoneAlarm I have never used but judging from the screenshots and the features it has, it wouldn't be too bad with the memory usage. I'm not sure what alternatives there are for it but if you find you're using it a lot and it's helpful then stick with it!

I also try to make my today screen as lean as i can...using only Pocketbreeze and O2 Plus

side note...i find that a2dp is better on this build and media player doesn't lose my storage card after i close it like on the previous build

Well, I have two threads where I try to fix the ms stack (but in the long run it don't work) search for A2dp Hizzing, in this wm6 forum. There I tries different combinations of codecs, coding bitrate and so on...and it just doesn't do it on the ms stack, the sound still has the hizzing in the background, BUT I actually did tweak the Widcomm stack so that it has almost Crystalclear sound with my headset. More info is in my other thread,.
AVRCP works with MortPlayer.
I believe that CorePlayer does it too (but not TCMPG)

Hi Guys
I have installed this ROM and everything is fine except one problem. I use push email to sync with my exchange 2003 sp2. I successfully configured all settings got my email etc. but for some reason my calendar didn’t sync with my phone. I mean all my existing appointments. If I create a new appointment from the phone of from Outlook no probs I can see them. But all my existing appointments still exist in outlook but nothing in my phone. Very strange. I was using WM5 2.11 before and haven’t had this problem.

Perhaps says obiously, but have you configured how long do you want to sync. I mean how many time do you want to sync in the past, that by default i remember was 1 or 2 weeks. Take a look at this.

If you SEARCH the Hermes Mobile 6 forum for a2dp hizzing you will find a thread that is called a2dp hizzing in wm6 (or similar)
There are tweaks!
THIS IS NOT THE THREAD FOR THESE QUESTIONS!
there are several other threads for widcomm/a2dp questions.

and yes if you read that thread then you'll see that I have tried his method and it didn't work for me.

EDIT: HERE is the thread! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=300539

Do you have an ext. ROM installed from an old ROM? If so mount ext-ROM and delete all data inside except autorun and config.txt and your provider-cab. Then do a Hard-reset, this solved the problems with SPB Mobile Shell and Freezes. The LVSW is a OS-ROM only, so the ext-ROM won't be overwritten, this can cause problems when still cabs and settings are inside for a completly other ROM. Maybe LVSW should include an empty ext-ROM next time, but then people will search for their Provider-cabs again. For vista-connection: Did you uncheck the box in USB2PC in Connection-menu?

Have been running it for almost 24 hours now and found no problems so far. Upgraded from the 3-20 version so the extended ROM is from that version. I have to say it is by far the most stable version. Even some of the bad boys are behaving rather well. CJT, a Chinese GPS software, which is notorious for not exiting cleanly, is working well with this version.

Quick report:
Wi-fi is working fine, both with b and g.
Bluetooth audio works fine with Media Player. A bit choppy with Skype. I use iTech R35.
No problems with GPS via bluetooth.
ActiveSync stopped during the middle of a sync. Had to reboot the notebook. But I don't think the problem is with this version of ROM. It may well be a problem with my PC.
Storage Card has not disappeared yet. Even if I pop out the micro SD and then pop it back in, my Hermes will still find the card. I could never do this with any of the previous ROM releases.

This may be the last ROM upgrade I need for my Hermes. Oh well, all the excitement of waiting for the next release may be gone now.

Two thumbs up for lvsw

Edit: I have also just noticed another nice fix. With previous versions, my car chargers would not change the phone. The only way to charge it was by wall charger or via USB port on my notebook. The problem seems to be fixed with this version.

Any one else notice a decrease in battery life? My battery is dropping about 10% an hour. I have the phone set to Edge to increase battery life, but it's still dropping fast. Using Black 2.0 I would be at about 30%-40% after 12 hours or so, now I'm down to 10% after about 10 hours.

Unplugged this morning at 7am, and at 12:30PM I'm at 50% remaining.

Ever since i upgraded to this rom, i have minimum 53% cpu usage even when the phone is idle. I thought its some of my third party softwares so i re-flashed the full thing again.. Then first thing i did was install a task manager, its still the same. Its "services" that is eating up all the cpu. :( and hence eating up all the battery i need for the day...
I then thought its the radio.. so i downgraded from 1.38 to 1.34.. still the same.. and yea the phone some times fails to wake up..

The funny part is even after 50% less cpu availble i still find this fast enof.. great work LVSW... guess would have to start donating now...

Is there any way i could fix these.. some how i feel every problem is connected to each other...

Great ROM, it runs nice and is pretty clean. But something is amiss with the services.exe. although it seems to run fast, the CPU is getting pegged with services.exe. filesys and services are running pretty high.

Being a n00b, I can't figure out what is running in services.exe that we might be able to turn off via a registry mod.

I was running lvsw 03-24-2007 before and services.exe barely trickled.

Are you trying to set the image from the list of images in file explorer, or are you opening the picture first and then choosing to set as background?

You have to open the picture before you choose to set it as background, or you wont get that option.

Noticing the same rapid drop in battery. I did not notice this in the 3/24 LVSW release which also had radio 1.38 - hence, I believe the ROM is the culprit.
This does suck... I'm considering switching back to 3/24 instead of 4/8 since I didn't see any other significant differences and the battery is really suffering...

I am on the new 4-8 version and I don't have any battery problems. I just tested it this morning. With a full charge, I have been using the phone for 4 hours now and I still have 90% battery left. That's 4 hours of normal usage, with calls, test messaging, email...

After 3-days, this ROM continues to run rock-solid -- fast, no quirky freezing and everything works.

I might be wrong, but if the A2DP fix is related to Sleuth's famous A2DP patch, it increases the CPU workload so as not to lose focus and provide a skipless bluetooth stereo experience. This may be eating up your battery -- solution might be hard reset. Soft-reset before the device counts down to install 'localized settings' (the stuff in the ExtROM).

It doesn't bother me and the A2DP fix works.

After running 20-hours with everything open and then closed (except pocketbreeze on the today screen), prog memory is still 18.91mb and storage 20 (loaded pocketweather, photoviewer, pocketplayer, and pocketinformant all in the ExtROM). Media files and GPS programs loaded on my 1gb sandisk memory card and all works fine... life is good!

The only problem i have with this rom is that ActiveSync takes longer than usual to sync with my PDA...

Secod problem is that this new ROM has less TOTAL Storage 47.36MB, the ROM 03/27/2007 had more total storage, about 58+MB

Also, can you get the Windows Mobile user experience to disappear. it's very annoying every time

Otherwise, it's really one of the best ROMs available... Thanks lvsw

Running solid for a day now, another great release, Thanks!
Question:
I would like to change the theme to a real black (Vista black) type theme. Sofar I've only found dark-grey-ish ones. Someone here with a real 'deep black' theme for LVSW's excellent rom? (I specifically mean the menu bars etc to be dark black).

Thanks for any response,

I haven't noticed any difference, I doubt this is related to the ROM.

Secod problem is that this new ROM has less TOTAL Storage 47.36MB, the ROM 03/27/2007 had more total storage, about 58+MB

As has been discussed several times in this thread, this version lacks the big_storage "fix" the previous version did for stability reasons. There's an easy way to get it back, do a search.

Also, can you get the Windows Mobile user experience to disappear. it's very annoying every time

If you keep dismissing it it will just pop back after a while. You need to actually tap the icon it puts in the top tray so it opens Mobile Experience, then tell it to go away. After that you won't see it again.

Otherwise, it's really one of the best ROMs available... Thanks lvsw

Yes it is. Very stable, very clean. Only suggestion I would make is to replace ClearVue PDF with Adobe but everyone suggests that :)

thanks to LSVW for releasing this rom.

personal reactions::D

-most stable rom i ever had. from original wm5 x01ht to vanilla wm6.

-its been three days already and i had lesser soft resets (basically almost none) compared before.

-installed a "LOT" of programs and games today. and still its been going sturdy.

-i think it best fits the x01ht phones.

anyway, for the teeny weeny cons: :(

-clearvue deserves a funeral

-htc tweak wont run after i installed lets japan by asukal.

-device lock (lock on wake) is not performing like the post lsvw rom.

-im not quite sure though, but i think battery usage is a little bit faster.

-LSVW rom deserves a prettier splash screen.

-it always freezes for 4 to 5 seconds everytime i slide for the keyboard (i think this is with the screen rotationg from portrait to landscape...eats a lot of mem)

thanks sir LSVW.

Thank you LVSW.
With all the positive feedback the temptation was too much to bare :)

I am on the latest 8/4 version and its working flawlessly.
Two issues and questions:
1) Is there a hack to change the OS version number so programs that check
the OS version on install could be installed?
2) Is there a way to move all the e-mails (attachments are easy) to the storage card?
The WM5 registry change doesn't seem to work anymore.
I found this on the WM6 Wizard forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=297905) but it doen't work on my TyTn.

Thanks again for a great piece of work.

This is not true. I flashed new ROM now, and before I erased the old EXT_ROM; but it have Extended ROM also...

Thank you LVSW for making an excellent rom.

There is one little snag that turned up after updating to this ROM. Activesync keeps synchronizing indefinitely and on the device it says "waiting for network".

When searching the forum I came across different solutions:
- go to connection settings, usb to pc and disabling advanced network functionality.
- disable firewall.
- remove profile in activesync on desktop.
- remove profile in activesync on windows mobile.
- reinstall activesync.
- reinstall office.

Unfortunately, none of these solutions work. Finally I reinstalled windows from scratch and did a complete erase on the device. On first connect after the reinstall, the synchronization worked flawlessly. But directly after that the problem reappeared.

I didn't have this problem with any of the earlier ROMs. Any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks!

Firstly, many compliments for all versions of LVSW. I have tried them all and upgrade almost religiously when new upgrades are available. Odlichno.

The 2 things I would like to see (and they were available in other ROMs I have used) are:

1. Contacts - when names are stored as first and last name I would like to simply enter the initials and get the names with those initials. also I can enter initial from the first name and the 2 first letters from last name and get that name. Example. Greg Jones > I enter GJ and get all the people beginning with those 2 initials. If there are many I enter GJO and get all people with first name beginning with "G" and last name with "Jo". This is an excellent feature especially useful as to get to Hermes keyboard I must slide it and using on screen keyboard is not always easy (sunny days, driving etc). Please see what you can do.

2. Messaging - When new email or SMS is received I click on it and the folder that opens is the last folder browsed. Previous softwares automatically went to the message list where the message actually is. Lets say I was browsing "sent items" and have closed the window. I get messages and once I click on the Notification Bar that I have 2 Outlook messages it takes me back to "sent items". This is annoying as then I have to scroll through folders to get where I need and want to be.

Hope that something can be done regards these 2 issues. Keep up the good work.

For me it was solved by changing the ActiveSync Connection Settings (File->Conection Setings...) to indicate This Computer in connected to: "The Internet" rather then default "Automatic" option.

Very similar problem here, but I was on the previous version of this rom.

The solution for me: Hard reset and all working again.

I think is not related with a rom problem. Maybe some program installed...

radio: 1.40.30.00

Seconding this. I woke up this morning after having forgotten to plug in the charger and I still have a 50% charge on the phone. I know without specifics that doesn't say much but trust me, with 1.38.00 if I didn't charge every single night before bed my phone would flat out die. The new radio is far better in this regard and in my area at least reception is just as strong. If you haven't upgraded yet do it.

Is this a feature that was working on past ROMs and is now broken? This doesn't even sound like something WM6 does.

This is something with your setup or something another program did because this is not how my messaging works with my install. On my Hermes messaging works exactly like you think it should.

Without a doubt this is one of the best ROMS available.

I never happened to turn on my WiFi as I always use GPRS. I happened to try this out today and when I tap the WiFi icon from the connection manager it clocks for abt 10 secs and does nothing, the WiFi icon will be disabled.

I tried to search for a solution but turned out with nothing. This is my second WM6 rom and I am sure it worked with the first one I tried ( LVSW 20/03/07 ). Does anyone have the same problem, can anybody help me.

Thanks in advance

Edited:

After spending some more time on the Upgrading threads this is what I gathered. Fried the WLAN chip because of too many updates. Looks like the only option left for me is to send it for repair. Does anybody have second thoughts on this.

Anybody know which is the cab in the extended rom that contains the videocall dialer? I've been having problems with the past couple versions of this rom causing my phone to randomly not return from standbye but I don't seem to have this problem if I abort installing the extended rom. However, I hate the new dialer built into WM6 and much prefer the video dialer version (even though I can only use it when I'm in Europe). Now I just hope that the Video Dialer phonepad isn't the cause of the random freezes (though I guess it would be nice to know specifically what's causing it).

so, yesterday ive have tried the wlan with this rom (without wlan fix cab), with and without wep.
on free air connection i realised a decreased range of about 50% compared to the latest wm5 wwe rom.
and, pie hangs very often that i had to soft reset the device several times. so i tried opera mini, it doesnt hangs like the pie, but the connection doesnt work all the time, this means the connection was good, but opera mini couldnt load anything (after a while of browsing), so i had to turn wlan off and then on again.
so i come to the conclusion, that wm6 is not very stable. (like my vista)

Hello,

I have tested (for same issue of not wake-up after standby) to avoid installing the extended rom. I still got the issues and I loose video call so I decided to re-hardreset and let extending romm update.
I'm pretty sure not related to extended rom...except this sh..ting issue of wake-up Rom is great.

Well I tried this once before and ran it for 2 days without a freeze - then reset and installed the ext rom and started freezing 2-3 times a day again. I reset again yesterday and aborted the ext-rom install and it hasn't frozen yet. Could be mere coincidence but so far from my testing it seems the issue is in the ext-rom.

I believe it is MT_PC_Hermes_HTC_REG_070112.CAB. When I did a Google search for this filename, one hit said: "Smart Dialer and Video Dial support, also adds the HTC green dialer skins." Could be a total bunch of garbage, you never know. ;)

John

Thanks! I'm going to give this till tomorrow morning and see if I have any freezes - that'll be about 48 hours. If I have no freezes, I'll install that rom only. Hopefully it's not what is causing the freezes!

If you read through Dutty's first thread you'd see where I posted this for him the first time - I'll post it again here anyways :S
I personally like this one...

I'm having trouble with the wifi after upgrading to this ROM.

It connects to wifi networks, but it won't load any web pages while connected. I couldn't find any setting I could change to make it work.

WM6 and acbPowerMeter or Pocket_Hack_Master

Hi

This release WM6 20070408 presents folowing problems:

1 - acbPowerMeter or Pocket_Hack_Master give wrong indication in current consumption or CPU charge.
2 - Before install MSN Messenger to access to Windows folder takes about 2 sec. After install this software to access to Windows takes about 9 sec. Why?

Please, is there an answer for these questions?

Is tweakUI available as a optional cab? searched the forum and didn't see anything on it. I'm assuming it is specific to the lvsw rom. I usually make the changes needed through the registry but did think this was slick to use.

Cribeiro, If WiFi connects but web pages won't open, try this cab. I loaded Black 2.0 and had the same problem, see this thread for the discussion. I've attached the cab, worked great for me. My WiFi performance is very stable.

Hello,

I've just upgraded my Radio-ROM to 1.4... the CustomRUU works fine under Vista... can anyone buil a package with LVSW with newest CustomRUU? So we can make a ROM-Upgrade under Vista by simply clicking the exe ;-)
