Hello, I have a 8525, and currently running Black 2.0. On all the ROMs WM6, I have an issue that whenever I try to play mp3 or videos through windows media player or even CorePlayer, they play for about 3-5 seconds then it stops. I didnt have this issue that i can recall when running WM5.
I am not even concerned about doing this through my BT headset yet, just simply trying to play media. This issue happens if the media is on the device or the storage card. I have searched the forums, and still have not found anything.
Any ideas?

Even when I do a fresh install of a new ROM, it does not matter. For example, I just flashed the new 'dutty' WM6 build (I did the premium version) and still no different. Even if I use the PocketPlayer Trial which is included in the ROM or WM Player. Does not matter if MP3 or AAC files. It is almost like I get a buffer overload or something?
Any ideas would be helpful....thanks in advance.

Have you tried flashing WM5 again and seeing what happens?

not yet, this was my next step if someone does not have any other ideas. I cant believe no one else has this isssue on WM6 and the 8525?? Hopefully, over the next few days, people will make some suggestions. If not, in the next few days, I will try flashing WM5 simply to test. Thanks

When I first flashed one of the original Kyphur releases, there was a issue as to whether we should set the page pool memory to static 4mb or set it to 0mb and let the applications choose the amount of page pool memory needed. I set mine to 4mb and Media Player would not run. When I changed the registry key to 0mb to allow the applications to set page memory as needed, the problem went away. Not sure if this is your problem, but I see that someone has set memory page pool on this release to 4mb.

You could try deleting the MSMETADATA folder on your storage card/device and then rebuild your library. I always do this when WMP starts playing up and 9/10 it solves the problem.
