Ive just ported this rom for wizard (and made it WWE)

Stability and speed is such as on 17736 build.
I have no time to develop roms for wizard ( But i probably release some kind of base rom (without any customization) for other cookers.

I think this would be great if our great chefs could port this to our hermes

CE version vary from HTC devices but build numbers are the core of the OS.

i would like to analyse it to see if the CE version and Build Number is original or if it has been edited.

it seems highly unlikely as the latest build number atm is 17742.0.2.x. I cannot tell u how i know this so dont ask,

its downloaded and im analysing it now.

but you also have to realise that a higher build number for one HTC device does not necesarily mean that its newer than current ones for the hermes.

the highest hermes build is 17742.X whereas wizard might be 179XX, but the hermes build is newer.

Hope your feeling a bit better after people were so nasty about your great work on Black 2.0 I joined recently and cant believe how people can just not read. I spent two days reading through the wiki and found more solutions in there than anywhere else. Well just wanted to say I appreciate the fact you can actually carry on your great work after the dumbasses complained about your greatest work ever. Well let us know what you found out about the ROM you just downloaded. regards eds

That build is more recent than the one we all have (it is also aku 0.3) :D

The build in this thread from the prophet/wizard. -although it seems newer due to higher build numbers, is not actually newer for the hermes,

i have checked this with appropriate personnel.

it can be ported on the hermes, but my point is that even though it has a "higher" build number, it does not mean its the latest official build for the hermes.

also, this ROM is in japanese too, not WWE english.

To tell the truth i didn't see any advantages of that build..just quite stable and fast as 17736 or 17740.

I have received word that this WM6 build 17913 is not an official built, in otherwords its been faked...... and the work that went into faking it was more than a HEX edit.

Oh the joy's of Microsoft build numbers, they seem to make it impossible to tell whats newer than what even if people are faking/hex editing roms :(

I ported the coredll.dll to universal and changed the original JPN OS to CHS for a fieand
Compare the new Office packge, it is definitively new

Maybe im asking a bit too much JJ but have you tested the rom on your device or maybe you can make a quick vanilla for us guinea pigs to test only if you want to i mean.

How is your new rom coming along I cant wait to try, also I ask before but I think if you could include widdcomm bluetooth and get rid of MS and we could test it as a seperate rom.

I think that maybe get the widdcomm project back on road and finishing getting that $100 towards the development.

As a lowly imgfs chef I'm just posting to register my shock and awe over your XIP grafting skills. Damn! A truly custom ROM taken from Hermes/Universal/Wizard builds that even m$ hasn't produced!

Question: Where is the hardware specific HAL? I had thought this was the function of coredll.dll.

how can this rom be fake when it first arise from the surface it was included with office 2k7 which everyone using now.

Its just a bit strange though Iknow ihavent got any experience in this sort of thing but i believe this rom was leaked from microsoft and may be hex edited so as not to release original source. i have tried this version as well and its very stable.

As to what they say as well Its not every thing thats new is better as longs its works im ok with it.
