I know a few of the ROM authors have "final" (RTM?) versions of the various OSes.

Are we to the point of fine-tuning, or do we have a while longer in the devlopment cycle before we ar to that point?

I REALLY appreciate all the work that has been done (and the guinea pigs who do all the testing).

I only have upgraded to the new Cingular ROM and a radio upgrade for now... baby steps as to not get in over my head as I read and learn.

But I am ready to make the move soon to a WM6 version. I just don't have time to constantly flash/reflash the device.

I am a pilot and use the device for my logbook, as well as for a GPS.

Thanks -
RG

If its that important to always have a working device, I suggest you stick to manufacturer roms.
No one else guarentees anything.
Also, now would be a good time to find FLAME-retardant clothing.....

Probably best to stick with what you have atm dude. These ROMS are still in testing and i would advise against using them at the mo because your logbook is dead important.

Thanks for the info... I thought as much.

I have done minor radio/operator mods... but I will hold off for a while longer.

I just hate the bloat of Congular/ATT's ROMS.

I would recommend the Leaf South Africa ROM to you then. It's less bloated than the AT&T ROM. You can get all the MMS/GPRS settings with wpbear's install cabs.
