When you're done browsing, just hold the Red (hang-up) button for 3 seconds and the GPRS connection will end.

Great. I used Fantastic Rom 1.00 and during the update process it gives an error on my Phone screen saying Could not execute Calnot.exe .
I just clicked ok and everything went fine and i used 1.00 for a week. Now i upgraded to 1.1 and got the exact same error "Could not execute Calnot.exe "
I just clicked OK and it went away this error comes when CopyFileToTFFS operation is goining on during the Upgrade_rom.bat process. Whats this...why the error...Should i be even concerned?

Or use an original register tweak:

Hide SIM contacts
Registry: HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone
Key: ShowSim (dWord)
Value: 0 = hide
1 = show

This way you don't have to "buy" any of these programms ;)

Well, I can't answer this answer cos I just try to send file via resco explorer & bluetooth with original new ROM setting. But from my findings it seem most ppc somehow support OBEX except non WM5/6 phone..

Any clues?

On the sidenote, even after I upgrade to XBox v1.1i WM6, I realise that it does come with new radio. So, I still using my old radio 02.19.21. Can anyone suggest which is best radio I shld upgrade? Where I can get it as I can't download from the xda archieve?? Thanks in advanced.

I want to thank to people who made this ROM. I've used almost every rom in this site and all of them had some bugs. However this rom is really excellent. Fast stable and user friendly. I have empowered the rom with pocket plus and now I think it's much better than my expectations.

1.No bugs
2.Great battery time
3.Very Fast
4.Very stable

I have learnt a lot from this forum and able to download many files for me to play with my Prophet. But to look through all these pages (so far 29) took a lot of my sleeping time. There are some repeated question like asking password, complaining about password, accusing xda-developers being arogant not providing password etc... that took quite a bit of spaces.

I would suggest if any one need to ask something, look through the forum carefully. It took time to go through so many "reply" that keep asking password and so many "reply" that purposely answer the question but not giving it out directly until some one broke down and answer that the password is right there in the #1 Floor.

I also suggest this forum should provide a specific subject area for people that brick their machine. There seems quite a bit of people had that problem.

Bottom line is please help keep the Thread efficient.

Thank a lot guys!

Is it possible to skip the installation of the extra stuff bundled on this rom, by reseting at the extended rom installation phase?
I really prefer a clean rom, but this Fantastic is, given your comments, the best WM6 rom out there.
So it would be great to get Fantastic without all the extra "garbage".

From what i understand from various posts, the extended rom contains extra cabs (programs) that are installed after a hard reset and may be stopped from installation by a soft reset just before. These cabs can be deleted by/after unlocking the external rom. By undeleting the cabs, extra space is released.
Question - Is is better to first load the cabs, unlock the external rom, delete the cabs to make extra room or soft reset to void installation, but then the cabs ramain somewhere. Help i am a lot confused.

Hi, I'm using this rom and it really is fantastic. But I would like to clear the ext rom programs.. Everytime I delete the files, they appear gone, but when I soft reset, they're there again. ok

I don't believe that on WM6 you can read and write properly to extended rom.

If what you want to do is put some cabs in there to install at hard reset then that can be done, but you may as well just install them afterwards anyway.

If you don't want the programs that are installed just reset with the stylus when it says "3 seconds"

If you want some of them - you can install afterwards by typeing \Extended_Rom into total commander and running the cabs you want manually.

bear in mind that most of the 1.1 "extras" don't take up much room in memory as only links to the programs in ext rom are created.

Most of the programs that are stored in it I won't use and I'd like the space to store programs that I will use.

You can do this.

downgrade to aku 2.2

find a rom update that installs extended rom via copy rather than ruu

edit the update.bat file and remove everything after the delete rom statements

execute update.bat - this will clear the rom

install part two only of mobiz 1.1 (it is in part one where the ext rom gets written)

not sure what this will give you because i don't believe you can read and write to ext rom in wm6 like you could in wm5

flykthewiz
1st May 2007, 04:41 PM
No they aren't. They are only linked if you allow the ext rom install to go ahead. And this guy doesnt want them. Opera installs to main memory.

I don't install ext rom either.

I have already said that there is no point in deleting them because you can't use the space anyway, but it doesnt matter if they are deleted as long as you haven't first let the ext rom install.

Install Fantastic X Bow without Ext_ROM ... dont do this! A lot of programms are Hardlinked in the Ext_Rom! Note ... alle Programms are Install direkt in Ext ROM and they doesnt use Space in the Programm area!!

Hi

Fantastic work, it works perfect on my Prophet.

I have disabled the Thai keyboard, but how do I enable the Intellipad T9 (phonepad) keyboard?

How do i add language DLL files, and change the regestri to use this language?

I wont to add the Danish files, and enable the IntelliPad.

Thank you all for your fantastic work.

in response to kina500 I personally got my phonepad working using one of the ones in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284378&page=9&highlight=phonepad+sip+download

There are instructions to install language there but you need to find the danish dll to install from somewhere. I've seen other people looking for t9DanishLdb.dll, but I haven;t seen anyone produce it yet...

I am using 1.1i now for almost 1 week (I installed a clean version, I skipped extended memory) and it runs fine now: BT, WIFI, IR OK. One problem, I had the impression that 1.1i is using a lot of power and this morning I had the confirmation of this. Last night I switched my Prophet off with 98% power (11 PM), this morning 7.30 my device was at 0%, empty!
I installed the battery fix too, is this the problem?

I can confirm this.
I have used 1.1i from the very first day the password was public and i had Energy Draining Problem for several times now.
I can't exactly say when it happens (as it is not there all the time) but i happened to me quite some times so switched back to latest official rom (aku 2.2 ger) which is doing way better when it comes to power draining.

flykthewiz

do you have the phone set to automatically switch off in power settings? If anything causes it to come on in the night, (text, call, alarm, etc) and it doesnt switch off then the screen will drain your battery.

Battery fix is nothing to do with the amount of power it uses. it is to do with the fact that sometimes charging is a problem.

Hello guys,

I ve just discovered this forum yesterday and i decided to flash my SVP M600 with Fantastic Mobiz XBow v1.1i 1hour later :D

The image is almost perfect exept few points

- I have this message error notifying me a lot :
"Notification Error" - "Cannot execute \Windows\TimeWizard.exe"

I guess i could find this exe somewhere ?

- I can't access to "Contacts" from win->contact, neither from the phone pad which does not provide contact button like under wm5 (very bothering bug :()

Finally i have a question, i ve read topics on the forum but i did'nt find anything about WM6 MUIs? is there a way to download a MUI for free somewhere ? (i would like to get a frech keyboard layout at least)

Thanks

2. On phone pad click left soft key (Hide Keypad) then scroll down to your contact list (under your call history)

Hi all,

Thanks for this great rom, one problem i have is that my activesync password and bluetooth pairing are lost each time i softreset. I searched this forum but couldnt find anything about it. Did anybody have this as well?

btw, i did a clean install (no rom) becouse the first step of the installation didnt finish. it crashes on vista. so i updated to this rom from the WM5 nvid rom.

if anybody could point me in the right direction, i'd apreciate it.

i've installed that rom at least 20 times (which includes my phone, my dad's my friends..)

and in some installations i had this problem, in other installations i didnt.

so i re-installed the ROM and everything is working fine now.

wifi occasionally doesnt turn on while clicking it in the comm manager, but that's not a serious problem.

Same situation I have since using Aku3.x and all wm6. I managed to change the modelID from WIZA200 to PM300, but coolcamera is still assuming that it's a wizard. I think it either retrieve platform ID from deviceID or used a wizard driver to recognise the device.

I really can't understand why they stuff the extended ROM with all that software.

I mean, it's just so much and so unuseful that it makes you wonder!

My problem is even if i don't install all that crap (softreset after Hardreset) it still sits there on the extended ROM.

I do delete those files, but because some reason i don't know, they just keep appearing after a hardreset.

Can someone tell me how to delete those files so they don't occupy much needed space on my S200?

They DON'T occupy space that you can use so forget about them!

If you want I will post an empty extended ROM! But it won't give you anything because you can't use the space in WM6 anyway!!!!!!!

ahm ... this isnt true ... you can use all files in the extanded rom and use as file store!

if you cant use them ... you havent config the True FFS Driver right! The Extanded Rom stay in a Disk On Chip. It means ... its a extra flash store. The driver have settings in the Registry to switch, Read Only ... different Powerstats ... deeper Sleep ... what else :-> next ... read thsi thread ...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=297085&highlight=true+FFS+pdf

if you search long enough you can found a spec from TFFS Driver Producer with a discription about G3 and G4 DOC and all driver settings and possible Problem, if you use deep sleep.

Ok, then doing what you say everybody should be able to simply delete all of their extended rom files themselves - problem solved :)

I have never managed to get ext rom working as storage since going to wm6 (had no problem in wm5). I will have a look at the thread you give.

My email account does not appear on the "messaging" client. But if I add it again, it says that the account already exists :(
Also, if I receive/delete a SMS and do a soft-reset, the changes will not be commited.

It would very grateful if the whole list of known issues and solution can be in the same post or page for each release...:D

Anyway, this release seems to not be, as the others, the most stable.

I tested 2.2a and the new smart1 v1.3, but I reverted back to mobiz 1.1i. This rom is much more stable and everythings works fine on my S200/Prophet. With all respect to all these great guys who working for new roms, but this v 1.3 seems almost the same as v 1.2 apart from a few (new) apps, but a number of things are not working like in v 1.2 and anyway it is made with the same built version as before. Maybe we better wait until this new built will be available.

:D :D :D Things are working good so far.
I haven’t found any mayor bugs so far. My Prophet has been running the Xbow 1.1 for 24h and I managed to test most of the basics. There was a small problem with the WiFi not wanting to come on... I did a soft-reset once and that did help, but the same bug showed up later. I found out that if I turned the unit off (suspend), wait 2-3 min and turn it back on the WiFi came on.

Thanx for a SUPERB job. Now i realy can wait a while longer for a better PDA phone, with VGA, nice CPU and lot of memory. :D

Summing up:
. Wifi ok
. Bluetooth OK
. Bluetooth GPS with TomTom 6 OK!!!
. SMS (no missing SMS's) OK
. Charging on car, charger and PC OK
. Settings kept after a soft reset OK
. Camera and CoolCamera ok (ONLY 1280x1024 on a registerd copy)
. Battery life is yet to be experienced, but its looks promising. The battery level didn’t slope much thought the night, and I still had 95% left after 10h sleep

Do both changes and reboot the device. If MountHidden does not exist, create it. Typical CPU usage on mine when 195Mhz is 1~2% and around 5% when underclocked to ~120MHz (with CPU scaler).

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\AutoLoad\ TRUEFFS_DOC1] "Bootphase"=dword:00000002

I tried these tweaks, but besides it makes the extended rom visible, I don't see any change in cpu speed. It is still around 37 to 40%.
