known issues :

1) Button Mapping 1 and 2 - Fixed by using alTab.exe

2) Car Charging - Fixed by soft reset one time.

3) Lock Password when the password is assigned , activesync and reset while
it's synchronising, we will no longer access to the Today . The assigned
passcode can not be used to access the system. But if we assign password ,
Power Off and Reset normally no any troubles, just NOT TO activesync and
reset.

* Recommend not to use the Lock and Password , OR DO NOT RESET while the
USB cable is connected . *

4) Icon Headset in Phone page will not functional correctly when switching
back from Speaker On, Speaker Off, the Icon just keep showing even the
speaker ON.

5) You can lost your SMS after Softreset!

6) 1) unable to connect to the internet via USB cable to PC

Do it on your PC:
1- Click Start --> Run --> type "regedit"

2- Find on your registry brower HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services

3- Add a DWORD with name = "AllowLSP"

7)To Remove Thai Keyboard(ThaiWinCE) from Input List change the following registry key(using PHM Registry Editor in Tools folder).

Only change the (Default) dword from 1 to 0
From:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{C0B1F8B0-BB81-4424-931D-1E9611B0819B}\IsSIPInputMethod\(Default) = 1 (DWORD decimal)

To:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{C0B1F8B0-BB81-4424-931D-1E9611B0819B}\IsSIPInputMethod\(Default) = 0 (DWORD decimal)

I with this version (1.0) only have 2 problems, the charge for usb in the cigaret lighter of the car and the MMS that do not work.

This is a Advanced Version Optimiced for Thai Users, but enought Infos are around to change Keyboard etc ... the Usergroup are very big ... i look around since 2 days. There have Splashscreen Contests and they look very good.

the charge from car is not been fixed, but someone reported it works.
the MMS surely works.
this version is almost "Bugless".

the overall performance, battery consumption and many features work very well.

only 2 known issues
1) button 1 and 2 mapping , (can find some other programs do the job)
2) charging from the car cigarette , ( this is fixed by soft reset )

you will enjoy and love your prophet more than ever.

and we still support the idea to purchase wm6 from the MS, if there are official version for Prophet in the future.

The only one I've found to do the job is one posted here by inteks called Altab (not to be confused with PHM's Alttab). It's a little flaky/unstable/slow, but it works.

AEbutton also works, but not without having the built-in function do its thing first, so there could be a conflict.

simply goto start-->setting-->system-->soft key <-- it will do the job for you :)

I know we're all excited about tommorow, because then the release date for this new Mobiz ROM has arived. Maybe there will be a small delay since there are a few bugs and I believe they are testing it thorouglhy ;)

What makes you think they will post this any sooner? I even believe it might be delayed because they want to provide us with a good working ROM instead of people shouting about the bugs they have found.

Now we've already have about 6 pages without any usefull information. So newcomers will have to search this whole thread to see that info that could be of use is on page 8 or 9.

Fantastic Mobiz XBow v1.1i was put for downloading on 11Apr. And the password is release on 18Apr. What is the reason of that? Why didn't they release the password on the same day?

Can someone post the ext rom for this rom? I am unable to complete step one of the upgrade process. I think this should contain the ext rom upgrade. going to try a manual ext rom copy.

When you use a PIN using the 'Lock' applet, the phone will turn itself on occasionally by itself! If you don't believe me, try it.

If you let the phone sit for several minutes, you can even turn the device on using the end call button.

These problems go away if you remove the PIN requirement in the 'Lock' applet.

With XBow 1.0, you could remove the Thai keyboard by uninstalling the cab/app.
With XBow 1.1i, you cannot do this, as there is no remove app entry to get rid of it!

Hello and thanks for the Fantastic rom!

To remove the Thai Keyboard: Just change it to the default keyboard or what you like, then go to File Explorer - Windows - Startup folder to remove ThaiwinSetKBD, and when you already is there, you can delete or move the Voice Command startup to anoter location. Just for backup. The last thing are saving you a lot of memory.

I have tested 1.1i for 11 hours on my S 200 G3.
Ist very fast, and stable.
I made only one corretion - delete thai kboard from startup dir.
windows live - fully functional
windows update - fully funcional
no more noise from mic
SMS - send , recive - ok
MMS OK

One major bug I've found so far.

The disapearing SMS when you soft reset using the stylus! :mad:
I know I can soft reset using a program for that, but that's now realy a solution. Since there are times you can't soft reset, for example when the device freezes. In that case you wil loose all messages since the last soft reset :(

I had problems with the install as well. In the end, I used the 'Step 1' from the Fantastic v1.0 ROM, and 'Step 2' from Fantastic v1.1i ... and it worked perfect! That being said, there is never any 'sure fire thing' with this stuff. I almost bricked my Prophet several times, but it always comes back somehow:o ... Here are a couple of screenshots

- Charge usb in the cigaret lighter of the car does not work, only it works after doing a soft-reset and connecting the cable before it starts.
- Drainage of the battery is still equal, has not improved with regard to the version 1.0
- Backlight to zero after doing a soft-reset, 1 time has happened to me. Sincerely I believe that this new rom does not contribute anything new to the previous version 1.0, do not find any progress.
any can beta-tester inform me that progress it incorporates this new version?
I alone see that it has more bugs.

Great rom! I do not have any of the bugs mentioned above.. ! Works really great, but is a little slow if you compare it to smart1's wm6 roms..

I don't know if this could help others but i allways start by downgrading to the NVID WM5 rom before i opgrade to another rom.. If i just upgrade directly from what rom i use, i experience more bugs than if i start with downgrading to NVID WM5.. So try that if you experience any bugs.. !

See if the SMS still exist or not.

This sms missing symptom will happen when you rcv SMS and reset it immediately or in a few second, which the system has not yet flush the information into the arranged storage.

I think I've found a problem:
Using Voice Command (only notify id of incoming call via voice), when i receive a call the BT handsfree or speaker start playing tone, but inmediatly mute (I think when VC try start playing the caller id) and no sound goes to speaker nor handsfree...
So I must turn off Voice Command. I've lost several calls :(

I really think the developer group of pdamobiz rom has done a great job (v.1.00 is the best rom I've tried), but I think it would be better not to be so arrogant, making the people wait for a password of a wonderful product....that is not so fantastic and has a big bug like that.
A product can have a bug, it's understandable, but It's better to say that it could have a bug. It's better to be more humble, ask for help, letting the people test it and reporting possible bugs.
That is better that announce the eight wonder, keeping it as a mystic secret....that results not so wonderful. We have Microsoft for doing that ;)

Nevertheless, you're doing a hard work and I'm grateful to you.

It's only I don't understand so well the way to do it. But...this is a free world :)

People are complaining SMS are disappearing alter a soft reset. You don’t need to receive mails in order to check this bug, just create a folder (or several) in any account, give a soft reset with the pencil and look for your folders. Lucky if you find any.

i open the G3 file and there was this progress bar on my PC and my device (Dopod 818Pro). after it finished the device restart itself and... :confused: it seems to be hang. the boot screen after displaying HTC then displaying Dopod and that's it. it stopped... it won't start. Please guys... Help me out... what should i do... i already wait for half an hour now. the screen still the same...

did i do something wrong? how can i undo it?

Do you have a G3 or G4 device? Try booting the device in bootloader (search this forum) and when in bootloader try step 1 again, but make sure you use the correct file when you know if your device is G3 or G4.

I experience the same problem with the SMS.. Even if i create a e-mail account to my gmail and recieve my mail, the mails and the account is lost after a soft reset, like its never been created..

Try entering the bootloader mode (soft-reset using stylus, while holding down the camera-button, until 3-colorscreen appears).
After that run the ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe. that should do it for reinstalling the ROM

I have been running my S200 with Aserg .13 for almost a month now. This has never happened to me before that. I was always trying to improve something. It has been quite stable ever since apart from a few glitches and of course the need to reset once a day or every 2 days for memory leakage.
I don't use MMS and I don't care about the Camera and IR.
So my question here is:
- Does anybody here using Fantastic have a good reason to convince me and try it?
Honnestly I am open for the debate and I look forward to read your comments.

With this Rom, prophet seems to be a little bit faster than with old ones, but it may be because informations are stored in Ram and not quickly flushed to persistant storage.

I had a lot of problems initially after the first install, i realized i made an error in upgrading. After my second install (without EXT rom), it seems to be working smoothly and very fast. And the menu sounds work, which is great.
I have a few queries... pls advice..
1. Has anyone figured out which radio works best with this rom(with regards to battery). I am currently using 2.69.21.
2. Is it possible to remove ThaiWineCe keyboard completely from the Sip menu
3.Does anyone have the Network Wizard applet in the Connections panel, and can it be used on other roms such as Aserg.

after following your instruction, what's next? i get the same problem as before. the screen freezes again just like before. how does it supose to be? i mean after the progress bar finished what should be done? :confused:

I was having the same problem as you when upgrading pdamobiz 1.01 Step1. It hangs at 10% during Step1. At this time i was affraid to have bricked my wife Prophet ... :o :eek:

I flushed with another rom (the NVID one) then i apply pdamobiz Step2 , then hard reset, and it worked. :)

During first configuration, i had a message concerning extended Rom which cannot be accessed, i soft reset and all ran OK.

About the Thai Keyboard: Just change it to the default keyboard and in file explorer, go in the directory \Windows\Startup folder, and remove ThaiwinSetKBD

this only occurs when you press the softreset hole right after you received your SMS. however, if right after you receive the SMS and you used a soft reset tool (e.g. psShutXP), the SMS will NOT vanish after restart. this makes your SMS persistent. in the same way, turning off the device by holding the power button for about 3secs will make your SMS persistent after reboot. the SMS becomes persistent even if you press the soft reset HOLE. this implies that you should not use the soft reset hole button right after receiving SMS. the rom is integrated with power tool, the psShutXP, which can be used for reseting the device. use soft reset HOLE if and only if you encounter problem like hang ups.

- Boot up abit slower (But i don't care as long as system works well)
- Very stable while handling calls... no missing on Missed call list. Incoming Call waiting fine.
- Bluetooth / IR works nice when sending/receiving files. When using bluetooth earphone it frequent get disconnected.
- Speaker sound just nice & Microphone Nice! Conversation party can hear clearly.
- MMS should be ok as i haven't try.
- Power Consumption : About 15% more than previous (WM5 ROM)
- No SMS Missing but E-mail Account & GPRS Settings always missing after softreset(Use button as machine hung) After softreset i re-create the account but it shown account name already existed. Any solution to solve this as i frequent use Email thru GPRS.
- Camera no issue as previous.
- WiFi lack stable... Frequent disconnected (Don't know whether is due to hardware)

hi, for a successful update you need to have your IPL/SPL in a higher version which is 2.xx.0000 make sure it is again for a G3 version like yours. I know there is a IPL/SPL version of 3.08.000x floating around but I wouldn't recommend you to take this. Try to search the forum to find the updates

A good resource for beginners is the Prophet Wiki (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=290323). Look through it and I'm sure you will have less trouble in the future

What did you do after running the NVID update ? you ran the step2 of pdamobiz 1.1 by running upgrade_rom.bat ? Once the update end, you do a HARD RESET ? (by pressing the 2 buttons ons the left,,keep them hold, reset with the stylus, then release the buttons and press call button when its written on screen that you are invited to press the send key.

So, just to say this again or rather to clarify. If you soft reset with the stylus the second you get a sms, that sms is gone. Your previous ones remain. If you wait 2-5 minutes and then reset with the stylus, the sms is still there. So, for me: if in the exact second my Prophet freezes I get an sms, or vise versa..... I wait 5 minutes and reset with the stylus.

The theme is included with the ROM. For that matter, I'm starting to think I have a strange middle ROM here with this update method. The ROM version in Device Info is: 10.2.0.8 WWE which leads me to believe this is still Fantastic v1.0 At the same time though, the start menu sound issue is fixed with the update, so it can't be the old Fantastic v1.0... can it?

What did you do after running the NVID update ? you ran the step2 of pdamobiz 1.1 by running upgrade_rom.bat ? Once the update end, you do a HARD RESET ? (by pressing the 2 buttons ons the left,,keep them hold, reset with the stylus, then release the buttons and press call button when its written on screen that you are invited to press the send key.

Just put your device on bootloader. (Hold camera + Soft Reset)
Then Upload original rom and follow up to step1 and then step2...

- Boot up abit slower (But i don't care as long as system works well)
- Very stable while handling calls... no missing on Missed call list. Incoming Call waiting fine.
- Bluetooth / IR works nice when sending/receiving files. When using bluetooth earphone it frequent get disconnected.
- Speaker sound just nice & Microphone Nice! Conversation party can hear clearly.
- MMS should be ok as i haven't try.
- Power Consumption : About 15% more than previous (WM5 ROM)
- No SMS Missing but E-mail Account & GPRS Settings always missing after softreset(Use button as machine hung) After softreset i re-create the account but it shown account name already existed. Any solution to solve this as i frequent use Email thru GPRS.
- Camera no issue as previous.
- WiFi lack stable... Frequent disconnected (Don't know whether is due to hardware)

Two major lock-ups today.

One was when I tried to switch accounts in Live. After this I tried to open CommManager, then the whole thing locked up on me :(

The other was then I wanted to play a WAV file (on SD-card), wich I was tryin' to listen when selecting a "new text message".

there seems to be something wrong with my computer or my activesync. i tried it with my wife's computer it work just fine... i still don't get it what went wrong. anybody experience the same problem as i did? my prophet back again now but i haven't try upgrade to Fantastic Mobiz XBow v1.1i again. i think i'll have to figure out what's wrong with my computer and it's activesync.:p

I'm new here & just done my ROM upgrade to XBow v1.1i. As earlier note from someon, i can only done in XP2 instead of vista. All fine except I found 2 problem needed your quick advise.
1) I cant run Contact in my Dopod 818 pro. In dial pad, i cant find my contacts even though I already restored from SPB backup.
2) In Vista, I can paired but when sync there is error message showed as below:"
"There is not enough free memory on your device to synchronize information. Close programs that are running to free up memory, or restart the device."

I tried to re-start my ppc by both soft-reset or shut down & up again with no solution.

Can anyone give me quick help & reply...

I have no idea what you're saying. If you reboot your prophet, the registry restores itself as if after a hard reset? Explain what you mean by flush all caches....

If the Registry are in RAM ... it write back after serveral times. It mean ... you change something you must wait or flush the caches, befor you shut down or restart.

Fantastic use a other mod then the RUU versions. The most items ... are store in Ram.

But i assume you meant the shipped versions.

Well... i am no fan of caching on Mobile devices... You can read the reasons for that all over this board, people don't understand it, they don't even know most of the time.

I didn't actually have a deeper look into the registry (pdamobiz 1.1), but i think there should be a way to disable cached reading/writing in fantastic mobiz rom, shouldn't it?
For myself i'll prefer data-safety instead of small performance increasements with the risk of loosing maybe important data (you never know what happens...).

The Caching thing is:
To Speed Up reading an writing of data you are collecting data to read or write or in a very fast memory (which is in almost every case some kind of non-persistent storage) when you have enough data you are going to "flush" your cache wich means your are writing your data back to persistent storage.
As long as the cache has not been flushed your Data remains NON-persistent (in your Apploication Memory - or simply call it RAM) and will therefore be lost in ANY case of resetting the device before data has been flushed.

Well... usually this shouldn't be too much of an issue because if your device works there should not be any reason to soft-resetting it - BUT:
People have got used to just use this nice soft-reset Hole of their device instead of using a third-party soft-reset tool or just turning the device off and on again in the most regular way (have you ever seen a mobile phone with a soft-reset button??? i haven't...) because it is such a comfortable and fast way of rebooting.
And that's (as already said some hours ago in another Posting) quite a problem.
It is simply not what this Soft-Reset Button has been made for.
People should only use it when their device got frozen and there is simply no other way of restarting it, but they don't, they use it 5 times a day just for recovering their application memory...

So get some third-party Soft-Reset plugin for today screen or just use the standard way of turning your device of, and then turning it on again and you'll see your data won't be lost...

Nice to know! I didn't know that.. But then i think again, if the soft-reset button has not been made for common use, then i don't understand why there ain't any part of the os that lets you softreset. You can only turn the device off completely. I mean, if they don't want us to use the soft-reset button unless its extremely neccesary, then why haven't they included any software in windows mobile that lets you restart your device ?..

Then when does the the Application memory flush ? When its filled up or when the data has been stored there for a specific time ?

well that's right but... from time to time my prophet hangs after recieving an sms and I do have to reset it. but it's possible after 2-3min if I don't want to loose my message. 2-3 mis ake a difference cometimes :(

You have to update this official patch file in order to run perfectly on WM6.

This is not a patch! This is just a register tweak to exlude the error message concerning the "compimeh.dat" file. So the file isn't a part of the backup.
All Backup Programms have this problem. The file has something to do with T9 words if I'm correct.

Well, I have IPL 1.0 and SPL 2.20, and I don't have any of the problems you mention. Do you by chance have a PIN password enabled? If so, this leads to lots of problems I've found, such as instability, and the phone turning on every so often by itself.
