Hey Guys,
I flashed my Prophet from Regular O2 Software to Crossbow V2, used it for a couple of days with the Battery Plugin clocked to 273 MHZ, all worked fine except for when I set the prophet to 195MHZ regular speed it Rebooted or Shut off suddenly, I was able to restart it.
However, I was running on the Old Radio rom since I did not upgrade this along with WM6. So i decided to Upgrade it to the New RadioROM v2.61.21. I started it on Vista, suddenly My S200 Got stuck.
Now everytime i restart it i see the Screen with the O2 logo and the Rom versions and then the Display fades in a very strange way creating random stripes of a different color each time I restart it and that is where it gets Stuck, no response nothing. Now, if I press the com button and restart i get to the Bootloader where I CAN flash the Device with regular o2 or Qtec roms, I tried them all and all I get is that it successfully flashes, I get a new Bootscreen and new versions of roms indicate correctly but when it wants to get out of the Bootscreen it just fades in those colors again and its over.
What can i do? Is my prophet dead becuase of the overclocking?
Is there any way i can get it back?
Thanks

remove battery for half an hour,
replace battery and go directly in Bootloader
and than flash it with official 2.0 AKU.
If ur problem solved, than never overclock ur device.
Ur device is like ur child/pet, can u overclock to overperform it ?
I certainly not.
thanx to god we human r not sent with overclocking option, otherwise.......:)

It was nothing about overlocking. The only thing to blame is flashing roms with Vista.
I have been overlocking my phone to 252mHz or even higher for more than one year, and with all the different roms floating here and there, including 3 different versions of crossbow, never got any problem. Stable and fast!
The God want our human to be faster, so we are faster, with overlocking.

Well i do not use vista but if i overclock my prophet more than 250 mhz i get some strange picture on the screen.. Like evey second line on the screen is flickering or something so i think is has something to do with overclocking.. And an overclock from 200 mhz to allmost 300 mhz is a pretty high oc! And yes if you oc your cpu to much it CAN damage the cpu!
I would not overclock the cpu that much.. maybe 20 mhz max..

Thanks for the input folks,
As i told you, I already Flashed it back to AKU 2.0 Original Rom and all it did is change the Radio and the Rom which is what is supposed to do and after the Bootscreen i got those Stripes again.
I mean, if I can flash the Rom completely, the CPU is still working but why does it fuck up once it tries to Boot into Windows Mobile?

Uhm ... have you change IPL or SPL? Maybe Flash a lower Version?

That is not possible :(

It says IPL 2.15.0001
and
SPL 2.20.0001
What do you think those Fading Stripes mean when it tries to boot?
It looks almost like when you Clocked your PPC to high and it just needs a restart
is there ANYTHING i can Try or do??? which rom should I try to Upgrade ?
its a G4 i think

Now it gives me NBF Files cannot be Used for your PDA Phone, Please check your NBF. It gets stuck at 95% dead end.
I tried Jesters Rom, the Original O2 Rom, the Original Qtec Rom.
How can I flash the device again?
Greetings

Oh dear, stay calm. I don't know if your baby is dead or not but the message you are getting is probably caused by one of two things.
a. You are using a Wizard update tool
b. you are trying to downgrade the IPL/SPL (probably without knowing it)
Have a look at this thread, read all the way through.

I managed to Flash it with the SPL_3.08_Prophet_Updater_NVID.rar, which is a file that is only about 1.5 MB large.
Now I SOMETIMES can load into Windows Mobile. There, everything is very slow, for example, the start menue takes about 10 seconds to unfold. When i had the Charger plugged in it showed as if it was charing even after I unplugged it. SOmetimes I get Random restarts and Stripes, I believe the CPU is fried.

Well .. Iam sad to say it but that really sounds like a fried CPU ! And then there is nothing you really can do iam afraid.. :/
But it still sounds a little strange that you don't get the stripes in the boot loader .. I bellieve that if the CPU had gone you would get the errors everywhere..

I think you all set the omap overclocking tool to overclocking although reset.
IMHO hardreset or changing ROM will fix that.

I am a hardware guy and not a software guy so I can tell you with quite a bit of confidence you can't easily fry you CPU. So that is the last thing you should think of and focus on if anything wrong or you can do with software to save your Prophet.
When the CPU is manufactured, it is tested under various speed at high temperature (~80 to 90C). CPU runs slower at higher temperature and it takes less input power, so the so-call thermo run away do not happen with modern CPU. Now you know you mount a big fan on your CPU is to make it able to run faster.
It is first test with max. speed. If pass, Bin1, excellent stuff. sell for premium.
Then it is test with 2nd grade speed. If pass, Bin2, good stuff, sell for more.
Then it is test with 3rd grade speed. If pass, Bin3, normal stuff, sell at norminal price. Then it may be test with even lower speed, if pass, sell. Not all applications need to run at top speed and not everyone want to pay premium.
You can buy an Intel CPU or AMD CPU with different speed grades with different prices. However, the designer has only one final design and the manufacture only has one final process for that design. The toterance of the manufacturing equipments generate slight different grades of the product. Understand?
Now, when you overclock the CPU, it will run hotter, but it will quit before it get burnt. No different than the manufacture were testing the parts.
Note that is different than you put a exceeding high voltage supply to blow the CPU. All CPU's were tested under high temperature at low voltage and high voltage at low temperature and gone through very strict quality control before it is out the door.
The chance you fry your CPU with just overclocking it is very very slim!
Cheer up!

How i do IMHO hardreset ???
Try changing ROM and the problem persist.. dont have noting more profund ?

When overclocking too much a hardreset will set the clockspeed back.
Hardreset is holding down camera-key and commanager-key simultanously and then pressing the softreset switch.
But maybe your issue might b something different.
