DASH IE: surfing www.imdb.com problems

I just got a Dash to play with and have been using mostly WiFi, although I also have a Tmo2Go SIM in it. I've been comparing it to an HTC Wizard (Cingular 8125), a PPC phone. For the most part, everything seems to work, but one peculiarity: I can't seem to surf onto my favorite website: www.imdb.com (Internet Movie Database). It's strange because I seem to be able to surf everywhere else I've tried and furthermore, I *can* surf over to www.imdb.com using the 8125, which is also running on its WiFi and connect to exactly the same WiFi access point. The Dash just starts to d/l the imdb site and stalls partway into it (bottom progress bar reports 50KB and it sits that way).

Any clues ?

I certainly can't stay with the Dash if it can't surf onto my favorite site...

why don't you try a different browser?
mine just loaded the page in about 2 seconds. pie really isn't very good.

That's odd. I can surf to it fine. It has horrible rendering with PIE though, but it does the job.

Works for me... Poney is right though, it looks awful, but I prefer their mobile version when using my Dash. Metacritic has a nice mobile version as well.

I did try Opera and it works fine with that (but $24 ? sheesh). Is there another browser you'd suggest ?

And what is the URL of the best mobile version of IMDB ?

opera mini is by far the best browser and its free :)

downsides are you can't download with it and its low-res but it's FAST and can get to just about any site.
