On several sites I see TomTom 6.6 can be downloaded.
Will this solve the freezing problem of other TomTom versions on the trinity?

Correct

The new maps originate from Tele Atlas, and are based on their 2006.7 release. TomTom refers to these maps as version number 6.6. TomTom say that 40,000 kilometres of new roads and 18,000 new points of interest have been added to the new European map.

the ati bugfix solved this for me. you will find it here in the forum

You will get 6.2 but for many people 6.10 (83xx) is teh best one and newest.

TomTom already released version 6.30 in Taiwan (bundle with ASUS P535), which also support Chinese language.

In this release, you can use any v5 or v6's maps...

When tere is a 6.1 version and a 6.2 where you have to create a fake .tff file. Why shouldn´t it be possible that there is 6.3????

So what are you saying? Versions 6.1 and 6.2 are not official files from TomTom and that is why they need a fake .tff file to run, or is it that they are official but special versions for specific markets? When I download the latest version from TomTom it is still 6.03.

They come from chinese. And the 6.1 doesn´t need a fake tff file. I don´t know where it is from, but it works and says 6.1.

I bought a p535 in taiwan about 2 weeks ago. The shop installed an australian rom on it (since I dont speak chinese)

The tomtom version is 6.201, build 7160
the taiwan map is version 652.11

I've installed the upgrade from asus - which gives me map version 652.12.

The upgraded taiwanese map for P535 can be downloaded from ASUS' taiwanese site if I remember correctly.

And you can buy new maps on www.tomtom.com
There are no free updates from tomtom as far as i know
