I HAVE FULL WM6! NOT BETA! FULL TMOBILE BRANDED WM6 FOR THE DASH!!!

i have good news, and bad news

good: its AMAZING, every issue was solved, i cant get this thing to hang, or find ANY problems, EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET THIS!!!!

bad: it was installed onto my device by HTC, and i have no idea how to get it off, if someone can tell me how to download it so others can use it let me know

it LOOKS exactly like the beta, just runs properly, and ALOT faster, and uses less ram, even beter then after removing snapin from the beta version

Sorry I do not mean to pretend to know more than HTC or the original poster (being sincere here, no sarcasm), but I have an OMAP 2430 with Wm6, with an awful H264 decoder issue that I cant fix. (DSP level error). So unless these guys are using other hardware or DSPs I would expect at least 1 more version... sorry cant say my deadline.

MDA ????? i thought it was only going to be the dash for an upgrade not the mda??? thats why i got rid of the mda and kept my dash. Any clarification on this if it is TRUE?

I guess I'm one of the few who like the t9 option.
I find it makes text messaging and websurfing much faster.

You can download the rom, but you won't be able to put it back onto the phone.

Besides, the release is only like a week and a bit away. Be patient.

That would be the case if it were to release on May 4th. Im really hoping it does. Seems like MS has some kind of explosive release going on here...

I have to let me Dash charge more. You cannot be connected with ActiveSync to your desktop or have a relationship with an Exchange server.

Phone is charging right now... I'll let it charge for about 20 minutes.

ALSO, I have been looking for the WM6 install/upgrade/beta for my Dash and I cannot find it anywhere. I found an article that says some guys at XDA-Developers have done so, but I cant figure out where to obatin a copy of the OS. Can someone give me the link.

Also, I read in another article on this forum that T-Mobile will be releasing the Dash upgrade like May 6, 8, or 9th (something like that). Has this been confirmed by T-Mobile or a reliable source?

This is where you can get the T-mobile WM6 beta rom but make sure you read some of the threads on XDA related to this beta as there are a whole lot of problems with it (hence beta rom).

I downloaded the beta, but I also saw that you can download the factory ROM for the Excalibur and T-mobile Dash. I want to install the Excalibur ROM instead of the T-mobile one, but when I started the install it gave me an error that said "ERROR [244] : INVALID MODEL ID". Does this mean that I will need to unlock the phone? I'd like to have an Excalibur instead of a Dash of you know what I mean.

FYI... I tried to install the BB Connect software. No luck. It only gives me the option to synchronize the Calendar, and once I select it an error pops up and asks me to connect the handheld to a desktop with the Blackberry Configuration Software installed. I dont have it.

When it asks for key file unplug the phone and close the app. Run flash app and it'll be all good.

So it basically CID unlocks it without SIM unlocking it? I tried it but cant install the rom cos i have a loose USB port and im sending my device back to get fixed. I'm with Rogers so dont have the rogers rom to go back to.

So does using the IMEI check software and following the previously posted hack actually CID unlock the phone without messing other things up?

Can someone who has done it verify this and maybe post some more detailed instructions on how to do it with the hack (without paying)?

I would like to CID unlock my phone as I already have my phone SIM unlocked!

Just installed it myself, all went smoothly and took ~10 minutes from start to finish ;) Don't have any more time to play with it tonight, but will spend more time with it tomorrow.

I installed it, looks great. So far, runs fine -- have noticed my system resources in use. After bootup, 66% of RAM in use. Doesn't seem any slower because of it though...

Which logos? They can all be changed through the registry.

I installed the Beta when it was leaked and installed the final release when it was leaked too and had unlimited internet before I upgraded WM5 to the Beta. This morning however, the day T-Mobile officially released the upgrade, I noticed my internet and e-mail werent working, but T-Zones was. I had added the T-MobileWeb for $5.99 package to my plan a few months back because T-Mobile shut down free internet access in my area (Dallas, TX) and adding that package to my plan allowed me to have unlimited internet access again without having to pay for the T-Mobile Total Internet Add-on package for $29.99.

I have tried every thing I can think of to troubleshoot the phone except for restoring factory settings. Is anyone else having the same issue as me? Maybe T-Mobile figured out that people are getting unlimited internet access on their phones with the T-MobileWeb package (which is only suppose to let you use T-Zones to access premium content, not use IE) and are now blocking it?

I called T-Mobile on my way to work and they said everything on their end is fine and that there have not been any data outages reported in my area. T-Zones is working on my phone, no other data seems to work. The last time ActiveSyn talked to Exchange was @ 1:59 AM (5/9/2007).

Any input would be great!

Am I the only one who thinks that WM6 has a few little sucky features?

Like move the "New" in Text message area,

Merging SMS and MMS, now I can't find the settings to adjust my MMS so that's dead...

Also when I exit Comm manger Active Sync pops up???

I tried to setup Windows Live and it tries to sync all day using GPRS / EDGE at my expense...

I'm not very happy right now... thinking to switch back to WM5

you know, I dont believe you are the only one that thinks that there are a few flaws in the design of WM6 compared to what we are used to, however I believe that all that is good about the ROM out weighs the few flaws and arent enough of a big deal to revert back to WM5.

I am sure I am not the only one with that opinion. But everyone has thier own opinions, this just happens to be mine.

The MMS settings are kind of hidden. i don´t know why they did it this way.

After you set up the mms connection setings.

Go to Messaging
Select Text/Multimedia
Menu-New-MMS. Like if you were making a new message
Then Menu-0 Options-4 Message Options
Then Menu Again.and here you will find on 1-MMSC Settings
