Well, to everybody that uses ANY miniSD (-512-1gb-2gb-4gb....however, NO SDHC are supported!), try this!

Note:
You MUST have an PC-side miniSD reader
You MUST have...a P3600 and a miniSD
DO NOT INSERT miniSD into PDA until is indicated.....

-Prepare the PDA:

Goto Start-> Programs-> ActiveSync

Open the ActiveSync's "Option" menu

Goto "Add Server" etc...

Fill the text boxes with ANY (fake) data.....do not import...you simply need to tap on "next"....

When you finish (tap on "Finish"), a fake Exhange Server Connection appears

Go back to ActiveSync main screen, tap on "Option"

NOW you can tap on "planning" (i think that the correct traslation from italian is this...)

Set both preferences to "Manually"

Tap "OK" (upper right corner...)

Go back again to ActiveSync's main screen

Tap again on the "Option" menu

Select the (fake) Exhange Server Connection and DELETE it

Now you need to edit the registry.....

(Istruction to edit the registry FROM PDA w/ software like "PHM Registry Editor")

Any security restriction OFF:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies]
Change the DWORD named "1005" to 40
Change the DWORD named "1001" to 1
Change the DWORD named "101a" to 1

Registry from Hive to File

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ObjectStore]
Change the DWORD named "RegistryType" to 0

SD issue fix

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager]
Change the DWORD named "PNPUnloadDelay" to 8196
Change the DWORD named "PNPWaitIODelay" to 8196

NOW, soft-reset the PDA !!

-Prepare the miniSD:

Download the "Panasonic SD format Tools" (its freeware, you can find it on the net...) and install it on your desktop

Put the miniSd into the PC-side reader

Format the miniSD using the "Panasonic Tool"

NOW, ONLY NOW, JUST NOW......you can insert the miniSD into the P3600 and star to using !!!

Humm, never had a issue with miniSD, I used to use a 2gb sandisk, and I now use a mobymemory 4gb, as it can be seen on the attached video the 4gb also works nicely without modifying anything.

It will be interesting to see how many of these 4gb cards last longer than 4 months. Read this thread for more info...

That is exactly what I'm looking out for, I think I'll stick with my 2GB until 4GB is properly confirmed...I know Matterhorn has been using it for ages now, but still, I used a 4GB SD on my iPaq for 6 months before it died.

I agree. I had 4gb MobyMemory card and it's fine until you get over 2gb of data on it. Now I have 2 x 2gb Sandisc cards and had no problems so far but it has only been a week. I did write them in diferent card readers a few times but still fine.

The only problem I have is that I can not see the card in a USB card reader/writer (works a lot faster with maps and movies etc. with the external USB reader/writer)
