Hi there,
Is there a registry key in WM6 that I can murder violently that will prevent WM6 from complaining that I am not connecting with Activesync version 4.5 or later? I'm not using activesync at all. I'm using Missing Sync for Windows Mobile on OS X.

I'm sure it would work fine connecting with a WM5 device... :D

*lurks in wait*

Is there a thread we may be missing? I've searched for a thread about disabling this check, I'm sure someone else must have been aggravated by it... even poked around in the registry a bit. Unless I'm utterly blind no thread exists! I'm hoping obliterating/changing a reg key will do it.

There must be a registry tweak right?

I don't think so. Nobody would bother to look for it. I think you should probably be asking the Missing Sync folks for an update...

Hmm... well they are aware that an update is necessary, and they do say they're working on one. Surely it would be as simple as changing a registry value, unless it's more deep rooted than that, and I don't see why it should be. I don't know where to start looking though! :-D

Use Activesync Toggle. Freeware...google it...it works on a MS pc
