Custel 1.2 v. Black 2.5?

I have read most of the threads as well as the first posts on each of the ROM pages and I can't for the life of me figure out what the difference is between the two versions. If I have missed an explanation somewhere, I apologize for this post, but maybe a link could be posted for me to look at.

I am running the 2.0.2 Black version now and have had virtually no problems. I would like to try 1.2 or 2.5 - just can't tell which one to go with. I have an 8525 with Cingular.

Custel is based on the Dopod release version. black 2.5 is based on same release of WM6 but before any operator changes are made. IMHO black 2.5 is a clearner release since no operator setting or mods have ever reached the ROM.
