Spanish ROM for the Treo 750

:confused: Does any one knows someting or has the spanish ROM for the Treo 750? i would like to have it in spanish coz im in Mexico and i have some friends of mine that has the Treo 750 but all them are in "English" so we want to trasnlate them to spanish. would any one help us with this....:confused:

hola que tal,ya me he dado vueltas por todo internet y no he encontrado la room con wm6 para la treo 750 crei que en este foro haberla encontrado pero nada, baje la room de otras ahora solo me conformaria en conseguir la room wm5 pero en español, resido igual en mexico, tengo de igual manera problemas con el sonido no se escucha nada, pero si pongo el manos libres asi si funciona, ya hice el soft reset y el hard he instalado otros programas pero no logro solucionarlo, podriamos cambiar opiniones y a lo mejor llegar a una salida... salu2 y gracias de antemano

I downloaded this "updater" and ran it on a 750 for a friend of mine in Colombia. It did not work. He needs his Treo in Spanish, what do I do?

Unpack the installer with powerarchiver/winrar/whatever...

Take the 65MB file that you find inside the extracted folder, rename it as CHEEIMG.nbh, then copy the file on a miniSD and do the update following the same istructions as the wm6 upgrade (you can find them everiwhere here in the forum).

i downloaded the file but the isnt it the same that is on the palm web site? or is this modificated.. coz the one on the site says that i need the treo 750V but i have the normal treo 750 not the one with the V at the end... so that updater doesnt work with my... will this one that you gently give us work with my treo 750.

Read the previous messages please.

Don't use the installer itself, unpack it, rename the 60+ MB *.nbh file to CHEEIMG.nbh, put it on the root of a FAT32 formatted miniSD and finally push the reset button and the media button (the one near the volume buttons).

Then just follow the onscreen instructions.

txz for the info, but before i do anything i would like if you can tell me how to or redirect me to the post about how to make a backup of my actual treo, just in case of i made something wrong i would be able to restore it.. ... and txz again for yours answers

When you are doing a major upgrade, doing a backup and a restore with a backup sw (as sprite backup) is not a good idea.

I can suggest to sincronise your contacts and to backup manually your personal files (as photos, mp3s, etc..) then install wm6.

After the upgrade sync back your contacts and reinstall manually your favourite programs and reconfigure your mail, your BT pairings etc...

If you want to save your SMS there is a tread here where you can find the instructions to save the related file(s). Please search in this forum for the related istructions.

I just try Windows Mobile 6 (Vodafone UK) in my Treo 750v (Vodafone Spain). It seems to work fine with the phone but I have some problems with RealMail connection (vodafone push mail). This connection works correctly with Outlook and mail but it doesn't work with Internet Explorer and I can't load any pages.

What can I do? Thanks for your help!!!

Not with voda ROM. I have it and PIE works perfectly. Not the same with GMaps...

Well, I had been testing Windows Mobile 6 Vodafone UK and PIE don't works. Now I just reinstall Windows Mobile 5 Vodafone Spain and it works again. I would like to update to Windows Mobile 6 but I need PIE working with PUSH MAIL (from RealMail) connection.

Yes Google Maps don't work with PUSH Connection. I don't really know why too!

The GMaps application still not working with Windows Mobile 5. Anybody have the same problem (with vodafone spain)?

Para actualizar deben usar el metodo de SD (descrito en este foro) o bien una alternativa directa que vi en Internet (pero que no he probado aun) que es usar el comando
ruucmd.exe -asyncoff -asyncon CHEEIMG_FW.nlb

El aparato debe estar en modo actualización conectado al cable.

Este fin de semana trataré de actualizar y les contaré.

Exito, he actualizado mi Treo 750v desde Oficial WM6 Vodafone UK, a Oficial WM6 Vodafones España por el metodo de tarjeta SD. Hasta ahora todo funciona sin problemas.
¿Como?.
1.- Descargar la actualización.
2.- Expandir el ejecutable (yo use 7zip)
3.- Renombrar el archivo a CHEEIMG.nbl
4.- Copiarlo a la raíz de la SD (previo, asegurarse que este formateada en FAT32. Yo use Pocket Mechanic Trial para formatearla antes de copiar
5.- Ponerla en modo actualización.
6.- 25 min, ya está en Español.

I download a rom Spanish, and has updated the windows mobile 6 to 5.
I download a rom Italian, updated and it worked, did not change the mobile version of the windows.
Do you know why?

Es el de pc pero abris el .exe con el winrar, sacas el archivo CHEEIMG_FW.nhb y le cambias el nombre y lo dejas asi: CHEEIMG.nhb (osea, le sacas el ''_FW'' ).
Lo pones en una SD de mas de 512MB vacia y formateada en FAT32 (si no funciona formateala en FAT), lo prendes en modo bootloader con la SD puesta y conectado al cargador, cuando te parece la pantalla gris, apretas el boton rojo y esperas a que termine de flashear.

Cuando termina de haces un Hard reset y queda listo en español y listo para volver a sincronizar.

Cualquier cosa avisa...
