View Full Version : problems installing compact framework?

I cannot install it. Fails every time. Says to shut down all applications first, but that doesn't help. Anyone else have this problem and overcome it?

Had the same thing happen to me did you try reseting the phone and reinstall? it worked for me :)

How are you installing it? im using CabviaActiveSync

I ran the Microsoft .MSI to install, using my desktop computer. Did you reset before or after installation, and how, just popping out your battery?

I could never get the msi file to work either. Found a cab of it and it installed just fine. Try the one found here (http://mobile.surrealnetworks.com/DashApps.htm).

Thanks, but damn. Same crash message with the cab.

I had this issue and eventually narrowed it down to some software I had previously installed, but I couldn't find out what software it was. I hard reset my phone and .NET CF was the first thing I installed and I haven't had a problem since.
