Sounds better than your 2.0.0.1 ROM - tnx for adding crossbow sounds and i am wondering what is new office .... tnx. gonna give it a try.

UPDATE: Installed on top of previous 2.0.0.1 on my Locked-CID HTC P3300 - much much better and I can say that this is best customized ROM till date, and the theme works great.

BTW, should have kept BatteryStatus there .... this is one app that every Artemis user need to squeze little extra juise from omap cpu.

I succeeded in installing this on my SPV M650 running latest HTC Rom.
First thing i noticed was Wifi could not be 'started'.
But the thing that bothered me most was the huge power consumption.

Last night put the HTC rom (clean) back on. Now still 95% left. Yesterday, same time already at 55% !!

Anyone else?

Yes it will work only if your device is CID unlocked. If it isnt and you are willing to pay, then head over to imeicheck.co.uk and buy him for about £20. After him, it will be CID unllocked and then you can base this new ROM or any other. It all depends on how tarty you are :D

There is problem with WiFi not activating properly after soft-resets. At times after several soft-resets WiFi does initialize, but it is really annoying. If possible please fix the issues.

Otherwise as stated by me on previous occasion this is great ROM.

After upgrade this ROM version i find a bug that i can't explain nor see anybody complain about it in the forum.
I change the GMT time to London GMT, but after a few minutes the GMT are in US Pacific -8.
Regional settings are to Portugal and all the rest appear to be ok.

Andreazzo, this is a different kind of installer. It only flashes the OS portion of the phone so there is little change of bricking your phone. You also don't have to CID-UNLOCK your phone? You just run the UpgradeRom_Artemis.bat then wait for about 15 min until the command window displays a message that the update is ready.

It is very important that you perform a hard-reset after that to let the changes take effect. The hard reset is performed by pressing the 2 softbuttons (the button next to the green, and the one next to the red) and pressing the reset button.

Thank you rvbcrs i will try to flash this rom, but i really don't know is my CID is unlocked or not the phone is almost new but some things are not working like wi-fy and wirless lan.
For that i wanna try a new rom.
I am not an expert so do you know if i flash the new rom those problem will be solved?

Hi Tom_Condos, i tried this update, but it didnt work on my device. it successfully completed updating process, then when i hard reset, it comes to the first white screen with the HTC logo of my previous test rom, and shows the os version, radio version etc there, and is stuck on it forever.

It doesnt proceed to any further steps.

I am using Vista now and am not able to upgrade to my older rom via Bootloader mode, gives me ERROR :260,
Will try doing it again on an XP machine tomorrow.

In regards to the timezone settings, behaving NOT as it should, please try the following: Look at your "Visiting" timezone! I believe if you set this to the same as "home" zone ie. gmt +2 it will stay at this timezone. Workaround YES, but it might solve your problem.

Hi again guys!

After bricking my P3300, i reflashed it with the Shipped HTC ROM, and then again tried flashing with this 2.00.02 rom, and it worked! its nice, the icons are all new, and good! but i have been facing problems...

1. The display turns to landscape mode at times while on call.
2. The Keyboard icon on pages where we need to type, the icon doesnt appear, instead a white patch is there.(clicking the white patch brings up the keyboard.
3. The File explorer is at times dead slow, have to reset the device then everything is back to normal,
4. The Battery Status bar on my today screen gets blacked out , or dissapears after some time, and is got back by deslecting it and then reselcting it on the today settings.

else, all is good in this rom, the audio manager, and other apps are just too good!

I have an HTC P3300 and I have never bought/used the CID unlocking tool from IMEI so I think my CID is still locked. But to my surprise I could upload this rom without any problem.

Here's what I did:
1: connected to computer (activesync)
2: backup everything I wanted to be sure that it's safe to computer
3: disconnected from computer
4: hardreset device
5: connected to computer (activesync)
6: unzip rom
7: doubleclicked the batch file
8: waited 'bout 10~12 minutes before I got the message to hardreset
9: hardreset device
10: play

I closed/disabled the today plugin (tap and hold on the time) and noticed that I saw the "G" again. I also noticed that my wifi was working but I don't know if it was due to closing this plugin.

What phone do you have? because there are some Artemis based phone who do not have WiFi onboard for example I have a Dutch T-mobile MDA Compact III and it has WiFi, but a German T-mobile MDA Compact III does not have the Wifi chip!

I have the same problem. My HTC is brick. White screen with the HTC logo. Hard reset does not it help.

Don't try it. THere is no real WM6 for your device yet. Wait, read through the forum. Look into www.imei-check.co.uk and when you see that the new WM6 has been released decide if you want to pay £20 to be able to use it. In the mean time have fun with your new phone rather than sleepless nights trying to restore a brick.

Just some friendly advice.

I loaded this ROM on my o2 XDA Orbit CID Unlocked with German ROM, and it installed according to the DOS window. I did a hard reset, and then the extra reset it prompted me to do. When it restarted, it made it past the splash screen, to a white screen. I heard a 'chime' and my computer detected a device connected via USB, but the phone will not get past the plain white screen. Did I do something wrong?

Ok, so that was a dramatic learning experience. I bricked my phone once trying an upgrade, so bad that I could not even get into boot loader. 3 weeks go by and o2 Germany got it back to me working good. So after this attempt, I was just about ready to throw the phone in the garbage. But instead I did a lot more reading throughout this site, and while NO complete, comprehensive, easy to understand guide to doing all of this seems to exist here, the information is all there...but about as organized as a bag of rocks. I downloaded every single seemingly applicable ROM out there, all over the FTP site (you really have to dig). I tried every single one from boot loader, not one would take - either the up dater was out of date (something like that) or there was another invalid model ID. Until finally I found a copy of a German 02 XDA Orbit ROM on the FTP site. I tried that and it worked. I had my phone back, but still in German. So the search continued until I found some OEM HTC ROM. I did the hex edit's and gave it a go from the German ROM. Success. It took the update and is now all English with a green theme. I had an error right after I loaded it when I was putting in my SIM pin, it crashed. But I did a hard reset, ran the IMEI un locker and it came out perfect. I got voice command to work, skype mobile works, wifi, GPS - everything. I though I would post this to help balance out the amount of horror stories posted on here. Although I don't feel like this scenario made me in any way an authority or some kind of expert on 02 orbit language changes, I would be happy to guide anyone along so they don't make the same mistakes I did. Thanks guys for having a site with this type of information and data available. It may not be easy to use, but it's fee, so it is after all very worth a few hours time invested.

You should go in the registry and change 2 values in comm.

Here is copy of some help i took from this forum:

Wifi Bluetooth problems spb software patch

MAny people telling about problems with wiffi turn on:
- Not available by clicking on "g"
- not available to remap to hardwarebutton
- Not recognizing after pushing by commmanager

This comes up in several ROMs and I mentioned a soulution in many threads.

For some it works,for some not.

Just give it a try:

HKLM\Comm\TnetWln1\Parms\HTCPreloadStatus --> 1
HKLM\Comm\TnetWln1\Parms\HTCPreloadWifi --> 1

and check if WifiInit.ink is in \windows\startup folder.

Please tell me with which ROM it works and for which not.

So I use this rom with P3300 and it works for me. For the registry use TotalComander or Resco File Explorer.

in the wiki.xda-developers.com and in the forum you can find a lot of usefull Registry hacks...

I'm collecting them in a DOC file. You could do virtually everithing with the registry editor.
