my 2nd post in this forum, and as I'm not an expert in such subjects, I would like to know how can verify the if my Qtek S200 is G3 or G4 ?


ROM Version: 2.20.7.34 WWE
Rom Date: 7/10/06
Radio Version: 02.47.21
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.24
ExtROM: 2.20.7.114


If the above data is for a G3 version, how can I update it to G4, if possible?
What's the main differences between G3 and G4?

REad the wiki. You need post IPL/SPL to tell if it's G3 or G4.

G3 and G4 use different DOC. You cant Program a G3 or G4 Rom in a different device. YOU KILL YOUR PHONE IF YOU DO THIS!!!

I dont even have a clue. I know my prophet is a g4 because of the ipl / spl thingies, but my knowledge ends there...

I have a Q-tek S200 with IPL 2.20 SPL and SPL 2.20.0000 (what G is?).... i've installed Crystal V2 ROM and now my left softkey isn't working anymore. Any ideas?

hi, you can always check the wiki...

regarding your SPL I would say it is a G4. Many people would say G3...

For the reading I have made, I think what best describes the diference between a G3 and G4 is the one you can find in Wizard wiki:

A *G3* Wizard will have the following:

IPL: 1.xx *or* 2.xx *or* 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has *TWO* 0's.).

_SPL: 1.xx *or* 2.xx *or* 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has *TWO* 0's.)_

A *G4* Wizard will have the following:

_IPL: 2.xx.000x (Note that this version has *THREE* 0's.)_

_SPL: 2.xx.000x (Note that this version has *THREE* 0's.)_
