For ex, when running google maps, an error keeps popping up in between to check my data connection and signal strenght,even though its not a terminating error, I can still keep using it, it pops up quite frequently, and keeps warning me.

I had never tried opera in wm5, but atleast in this version, youtube videos, come very very slowly, the frame rate is very low, though the audio is fine, it also hangs sometime while viewing a video. Is this normal?

My ActiveSync now tries to sync. It tells me there has been a change in the server so I have to resync everything on my device.

I click ok.

Then it spends ages syncing. Then fails, saying there is not enough available memory... which there is, cos i closed everything else and had 30mb free. Hav tried multiple times (on Vista). The result is odd... no contacts on my phone (erased) no calendar, etc. And the calendar on desktop has doubled up every appointment, contact and task. Even the history.

After erasing the duplicates I erased the partnership and tried to start again. Everytime, it hangs saying it cannot sync cos it ran out of memory. But I am monitoring the sync from the memory app and it never uses much memory...

Please... what is going on? I am more than happy to keep this ROM if I can get the AS working.

Yes you can, I have the latest BETA version of opera(currently availbable for free for wm5/6 at opera.com) and flash player 7 plugin (and flash 2) and with that I can watch youtube videos. The problem is video fps is very low whereas audio is very smooth, I was just asking is it the same with others or was it because of wm6.

mun's rom has same exact problem. plus mms not working, VOIP not working, no GPS camera, Activesync problems and so on.

right now lvsw rom has none of those bugs except video call bug and he just posted a cab that might fix it.

The rom seems pretty good, but my custom extended rom isn't installed after hard-reset, and the device does freeze(it did right now, after hard-rst&customization), it would be nice if you changed the ROM config.txt to run the extrom setup, I could also do that, but the last time I tried to edit a ROM I ended up with a 'Never Ending Hard-Reset Loop' and nobody could help me on that haha.

MUN, just found an HUGE bug in your ROM, it's like the bug of the millenium, or even worse.

If you have the Second Edition (SE), then it will come the Third Edition (TE) and then the Fourth Edition (FE) and then the Fifth Edition (FE), NOOOOOO

Two times FE, that's an HUUUUUGEEEEE bug.

And that isn't all, next will come the Sixth Edition and the Seventh Edition, both will be SE, like the Second Edition.

Can you imagine all the Trinity mixing all the phone calls, calling to erotic lines instead of to wifes and girlfriends??

alright, last post on this for me.. my post was actually responding to ashkay's listing diffs between the ROM's.. what i'm saying is, this is Mun's thread for his ROM release.. tweaking, bug-finding, etc. If someone wants some sort of comparison with other ROM's or to gripe about how fast updates come out, make a new thread. It's not nonsense, as you know both ROM's are in beta stage and not everything works in either of them. no need to get so touchy :D

Yeah, I have it...

Works really fast, device does not freeze and it wakes from standby normally, GPS lock from cold start is about !!!!!10!!! seconds (in my case), it has messenger integrated

Well I found a perfect ROM for me and I will use this one until mun_rus`es 4th or 5th edition :) :) :)

I didn't install any fixes.cab... just the SE Rom and the file I send you before. Do a soft reset after installing the file. Send and receive mms works for me with sunrise provider

I experienced the same issue with LVSW's 2.0.0.1 Rom via WLAN behind NAT. I suppose its because WM6 for some reason doesn't support STUN.

That doesn't have to be the solution. In my case it was Vista which causes the problem (error 260). Vista had updated the HTC USB driver with the lastest version. It has to be the ripped driver version from ActiveSync 4.5, else you can't flash any ROM at all.

Just flashed to this SE from WM5 mUn TE and... it works great!!!
MMS work like a charm, italian TIM settings were just here ready to work and... they work at my first attempt (in TX e RX).
I'll try video call as soon as possible even if i don't use it a lot.
Only one thing looks strange:
After the upgrade i noticed that my Storage card was not visible :mad: , but after a SR it magically came back :D :D :D .
Also sync was ok...

My Program Files folder keeps warping in size. I have included a screenshot to show you. The top of the folder seems to extend underneath the start menu/ title bar. This comes back randomly after soft resets.

So we can install which apps we want and still have space? Maybe you can leave Adobe LE, Flash Player and GPS Info and Streaming player but remove remaining apps ?

I echo the sentiments of mcq3000. Would you be able to release a version where you have everything stripped out? Remove media player, ringtones, etc etc. Anything that you think can be removed safely.

I'm guessing there are quite a few member out there who could really do with the extra storage (which I think is the only downside of the Trinity).

Does any one of you notice a shorter battery life? I've been using it for 1/2 a day with not many calls and it's 30% already (6 hours since fully charged).

I have phoneAlarm, SPB diary, pTravelAlarm & Mort Ring. I used the same software (together with SPB Pocket Plus) with LVSW v2.0.0.1 rom and didn't notice a reduction in battery life compared to WM5.

Other than this I am very please with the ROM!! :-)

This is a real shame. for me one of the big "plus's" of WM6 is VOIP. Other than that this ROM rocks. Thanks mUn. I have scoured the forums for a solution to this "bug" think it may be a codec issue and am trying to force a particular codec. If anyone has this working could they provide details of their VOIP provider - this way we could try to see if providers that work use some codecs over others? Thanks.

The SE ROM seems to be very stable but in my case battery life time is reduced from 3 days to 1 day. So i switched back to Windows Mobile 5.

Hope that there will be an official WM6 version from HTC / Dopod with all OS drivers matching the Trinity Hardware - and then perhaps with an acceptable battery lifetime.

the new rom is working great. no problems til now. battery still at 90% with direct push over 3G and some sms. i also don't have the blank menus in the contacts anymore.

No, what he means is that the battery optimisation circuits, which include the charge state advice, take a few charging cycles to settle down after a ROM update.

You see tha same thing with a new device, until the system 'learns' your battery's characteristics.

I have used voiptalk in the past but get equal quality - a lot cheaper - with a geographic (UK or French) number with Voipbuster / Voipdiscount (they have a lot of brand names for the same thing! Shouldn't need the DMZ - certainly not for outgoing calls. For incoming may need to set up port forwarding on your router. Wierd. Anyway, if I do find something regarding the CODECs I will let you know. However, I think we should switch this discussion here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950 as this problem does not only concern this ROM or indeed this phone!

Hi mUn!

Version SE of your rom works very well :D except with my bluetooth Nokia BH-800 headset.

Whe I turn the headset on it begins to flash blue meaning that the connection with the pda is made. But when I try to make a phone call, pressing the headset button, the phone doesn't do anything but indicating that exists a bluetooth headset.
With previous versions of the rom (including lvsw's) this worked very well.
Do you (or someone) have any clue what is happening?

UPDATE:
When I try to pair the pda with a GlobalSat Bt338 GPS device and create an outgoing serial port, it gives error almost on every port number. With GpsInfo I see that those ports are available but selecting them to create outgoing port doesn't work.

Activesync: Occurs all the time with both WM5 and WM6. At least thats my expericence... Simply pull the usb cable from your device, and reinsert after a couple of seconds seems to be the solution ;-)

With wm5 there is the same problem. Because programs don't free all of the ram when you close them. Try sktools... or soft reset.

It is fast and it is stable :-)

Video call and mms work with t-mobile germany. Battery drain not a problem. After update yesterday evening. Using bluetooth handsfree in car with jetmobile bluetooth extension the whole morning still 80%!

Software compatibility is also ok. Navigon Navigator 6, Spb GPRS monitor, Mobimate, alarmtoday, etc. working well.
The only thing I cannot get to work is avantgo. The avantgo connection applet in system - connections is missing. That's why I cannot do a full sync before starting the program and therefore it hangs upon program start.
Any ideas?

I do not have the problem with the same ROM and same radio. Just one thing - I had Radio 1.41.00.11 installed before flashing with this ROM. Shouldn't make a difference - but it might be interesting to reflash now that radio 1.41 is installed. (I don't really believe it but have no other explaination why it works for me first time?!)

I have my Trinity since March and love it. I must have flashed my ROM / Radio about 20 times now and no other ROM for Trinity comes close to this. Speed - great. Colour Scheme - so glad there's no green, horrible Blue red etc - it's just as it should be. Task manager - what I was waiting for. With Radio 1.41.00.11 it works a dream - fast GPS fixes. Just one thing: VoIP: only get one way calling. I'm working on it - probably not a ROM problem. This is my 3rd WM6 flash - but I think I'm sticking with this one. Thanks again for the great work.

Now all works fine.
I tested to day the TomTom.. No freez after install ATIfix.cab. Very quickly.
MMS after i reinstall the HTC_Set.cab (in Windows folder) Works no superb.
Its a very quickly ROM...
for me the best ROM Now.
I dont use videocall, but i can see the icon in the phonetask.
3G Works very Good.

Is it the 'SomeFixes' cab that makes Voice Command work? If so, that's great, and I'll try it later today.

.mUn. SomeFixes.cab does not make Voice Command 1.6 work via BT for me. Just checked it on a clean device after soft reset to make sure.

The cab file changes the following registry enteries:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway:
BTAGExtModule
from: "OEMAGW.dll" or "Whatever is written here.dll"
TO - "BTAGExt.dll"
Power down the device,
Turn it on,
Soft Reset

Pops up from time to time (every 5 min or so), if I press ok it works for the next 5 minutes.

Windows live:

I cannot change sync-period. state is "manual" after whatever I choose and press "done". System also wants to use gprs instead of wi-fi, which is very annoying, had to install modaco nodata app to prevent gprs being constantly on. I don't know if all of this bugs, but seems that way?
