Have you guys tried A2DP with this rom? It seems very VERY slow, even when I am just listening to music my pda slows down to a crawl. It seems like cpu use is very very high when using a2dp with this rom. ANyone know why? It makes PDA almost unusable when using a2dp.

This did not make Voice Command work over my bluetooth headset correctly. In fact, it actually made it worse.

I installed the .mun.SomeFixes.cab first, and then I installed Voice Command 1.6. This resulted in the same situation I've had with VC and my Trinity before; I could activate VC via my BT headset button, but all VC-related sound came from the Trinity speaker.

I then tried installing .mun.SomeFixes.cab again after installing VC, and it made it so that I cannot activate VC via my BT headset button anymore. (I can still activate VC via the button on the Trinity.)

I cannot change sync-period. state is "manual" after whatever I choose and press "done". System also wants to use gprs instead of wi-fi, which is very annoying, had to install modaco nodata app to prevent gprs being constantly on. I don't know if all of this bugs, but seems that way?

It seems that sync works OK with wi-fi. But, if you enable gprs, windows live will automatically open the gprs port regardless of wi-fi connection state active or not. I guess not working sync-period-setting is a bug in registry settings?

on my "old" wm5 rom i get around the problem of wifi/gprs surfing using opera mobile, immediate connection! now i'm trying also with mum's wm6 se... i'll let you know, but i'm pretty confident it will work! i suppose the problem is on the pocket msn/live suite as i found in other posts around the world...

It seems like I had this issue once. Anyway I have all of my connections set to "Work". That includes Wifi with the on-board wifi module driver, all email accounts etc. New roms normally default to "Internet" for the data connections. I think in this way it allows for a smother trade off between wifi and gprs.

I am receiving my Orange M700 tomorrow and wondered if someone could tell me what to do.

That doesn't have to be the solution. In my case it was Vista which causes the problem (error 260). Vista had updated the HTC USB driver with the lastest version. It has to be the ripped driver version from ActiveSync 4.5, else you can't flash any ROM at all.

I have my Trinity since March and love it. I must have flashed my ROM / Radio about 20 times now and no other ROM for Trinity comes close to this. Speed - great. Colour Scheme - so glad there's no green, horrible Blue red etc - it's just as it should be. Task manager - what I was waiting for. With Radio 1.41.00.11 it works a dream - fast GPS fixes. Just one thing: VoIP: only get one way calling. I'm working on it - probably not a ROM problem. This is my 3rd WM6 flash - but I think I'm sticking with this one. Thanks again for the great work.

There is a major problem with the CORE DLL used for the Phone and communication in this rom.

1) it can not work with motorola H-800 headset (the newest one!) - that worked fine in WM05.

2) At some point after playing music with media player the device hearing while in call becomes so low you can't hear anything, MUS_RUS told me to turn off Notification sounds, didnt help.

3) Sometimes if the device gets stuck, and i press SR, the device can not turn on BT! i check the BLUETOOTH ON "V" and press ok, the bt wont turn on.
but if i go to the comm manger and press on the BT icon, it will turn on, but nothing can be connected to it.

4) in comm manager, under MENU there is no WI-FI just phone and Bluetooth.

All of the above didnt happen to me even! so don't blame it on hardware.

MUN_RUS, change the CORE DLL.

Unfortunately this ROM as well as LVSW WM6 do not fix the problem with freezing on wake up (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=302061). This happened again and it's 4th time for one week. I like the Trinity but this problem makes me upset. That's not acceptable for business phone. I am thinking about returning this device. :( Anybody knows why is this happening on any ROM? Is this hardware or software problem? Hi mUn, it's my 2nd day with your rom and I noticed a little increasing batt life (yesterday 8 hours, today 14) but my old standard with WM5 was at least 24 with an intense usage (GPRS above all)... I hope it'll go better tomorrow... are you sure it's normal?
Also I can't understand why you can't add the original Intent midlet manager, Opera mini running with this engine doesn't support correctly TouchScreen and Dowloads (it doesn't launch PIE to DL), also it crashes if I try to post a quite long message (f.e. for this post I have tu use PIE)... Is there any way (a CAB?) to install Intent instead of Esmertec (or at least in addition to it)? It's the only thing I disliked in your WM5 TE rom, too.
Thanks for your work, if your TE would fix these (small) issues and get more storage free (like your WM5 TE, huge!) I think it will the best.

I'd start by getting rid of Pocket Plus first, and see if it still freezes. If it does, you'll just have to try removing one app at a time, until you figure it out....

The problem is not with the Trinity, neither is it with the ROM, but with some app you have installed. Also, make sure you have the latest version of each (I just went through two hours of a similar exercise, because iGO would quit on start, until I figured out that Inesoft Address Book needed to be upgraded from 1.66 to 1.67.)

It's the inherent risk when you install a bunch of additional apps, and that's why these things are not for everyone.

Gentlemen,
I have upgrade my Trinity to Mun_rus SE version, and applied the "some fixes" and "One note fix" .
I am happy to say everything until now is working fine. MMS is working, Video call is working, Active sync is working over 3g, USB. Very stable (Been up for 48 hours with no reboot !!) VoIP is working for incoming calls only. I am using varphonex for sip I don't know how to fix my dialplan to make outgoing calls (help there please).

i am currently checking my wifi connectivity and i 've noticed some wifi losses or delays when loading a web page.Sometimes it stucks on the Locating page and others just takes too long to load or displays the web page couldn't loaded.Eventually it loads the web page after 2 - 3 refreshes of it.

I've noticed something with background images.

On WM5 when you use pictures and videos to set an image as background it shrinks it to fit, but in WM6 it doesnt shrink it. Is that a bug?

I have spv m700 on orange uk and have wm6 (muns 2.se)
there is a risk you could kill (brick) the phone but !!
these guys have put together the install as a package that has some apps to stop it killing your phone...
there are lots of threads about how to update aswell but this is what i did..

1.plug in m700
2.synch with AS
3.run the update of your choice ,muns or lsvw (rom update utility.exe)
4.it will put your phone in bootloader mode will show USB at the bottom
5.it will then disconnect from AS
6.leave it in this mode dont unplug and then run the update utility again follow the on screen instructions and there you go all done !!

First off, thanks for some awesome work. This is my first PDA Phone and I'm impressed with what I can do with it!!

Perhaps if you do decide to make a barebones third edition, other people could put together a list of apps to install (And maybe a description, rating and where to find it)... This'll please everyone who wants big storage, and also make it easier for people like me who just don't know about, or how to get some of the programs that are usually included.

For fix this, I must: Turn on HBH, soft reset the trinity, and connect both pushing play in HBH. Then, all goes well. In your last ROM, WM5, I only must turn on HBH and all goes well.

Only complain is that the 'bass' is not so good ... not sure if this is the headphone or the trinity ...

First of all I want to thank Mum_Rus to is good work and all the time he spent doing this and others Rom's.

The ROM is working fine, I still have to try the bluetooth HeadSet and the GPS (I've my car in the garage so it's a lit bit hard to test both with my bike :D ).

But I have one problem with battery life, before upgrade in almost ROM's the battery lasts for about 3 days, know it only works fos a 1 day and a half, any one experience this or have any solution?

Could you please point me to any alternative software that allows backlight control functions to be assigned to a hardware key? That's the main reason of using Pocket Plus for me.

Make a backup of your Trinity.

Then, start uninstalling each application, until the problem goes away. It will point you to the problem app.

Then, start reinstalling your applications, beginning with the ones you deem most important, testing after each installation, to make sure it all works.

It's a pain, but it should fix it (well, if it doesn't, you might want to reflash the ROM, and if this doesn't do it, then you might have a problem Trinity - but I really doubt it.)

I try to add contacts by tapping on MENU,NEW,THEN SELECT A CONTACT AND THE POSITION...

Result: "FAILURE SAVING SPEED DIAL ENTRY. CANCELING SAVE :confused: .

I downgraded only the Radio ROM to 1.38.00.11 and the battery last much longer immediately ! I use the phone within a 3G network and the Radio 1.41.00.11 solves some problems with 3G handshake but now i will wait for a new official Radio ROM newer than this battery killer ;-)

First of all great rom! Fastest & stablest yet on the Trinity! I've got a strange problem on T-Mobile UK. Whenever I get a voicemail I get the correct notification but when I dial in to listen to the voicemail it tries to autocorrect the voicemail number which should be +440xx xxxxxxxxxx by removing the 0 after +44. It always says I have dialed an incorrect number & it is incorrect.

Usually when you dial a UK number with the international code +44, you should drop the first '0' but for t-mobile UK voicemail - you have to dial it in that format fully - if you leave out the code it won't work.

Anyone else having the same problem? If I use a different ROM it dials the correct number with the preceding 0 & works fine.

Really, I can play from my trinity, without fix, but ussing alternative method for connect after pairing. In ROM based on WM5.0, I turn on DS and voilá. But with WM6.0, play MP3 with frecuently interruptions if I do this.

But, if I turn on DS, soft reset my trinity, and then, push "Play" in DS and connect, MP3 goes well and sound is excellent.

I came from 1.41/mUn WM5 TE and i'm sure with that combo there wasn't any battery problem...
Problems came as i installed this rom. By the way, i'll try to downgrade to 1.38 and i let you know.

Try lower connections speed (e.g. 9600 baud). What does the software say? "No GPS" or "searching for satellites"? Are you outside? It can take up to 15 Minutes for the first fix. Just have some patience... it really works.

Sorry, but I have tried that. Google maps comes up "Initializing GPS" but times out after only about 20 seconds to a help screen.

Tom Tom comes up with "No GPS Device!". Usually it will show the GPS straight away, and the various signal strengths as it's trying to acquire.

Also I've tried GPSTuner which does the same, but it tries a search for my GPS but never finds it. It's as though the GPS isn't turned on or enabled???

I'm with the 1.38.00.11 radio rom too and my battery life is about 1 day, when with WM5 was about 2-3 days. Is this normal ?

I try it with G711u,G711a,GSM,ilc and i hear form speaker phone ...

I am posting here as I know the most technical people will be reading this post

I have upgraded to mUn_2.00.SE_WWE_GPS and I have no major issues, very stable and very quick.

Messenger synchronized my msn contacts onto the phone so I had 2 of each which was fine as I have all ready read about this issue.

So I updated the msn ones and started to remove the original ones from the phone.. They have a different icon

All appeared fine. It would tell me when my contacts were on line etc etc.
I then went to outlook and made sure there were no contacts in there so I could have a fresh updated list of contacts when it synced.

However the contacts from my phone will not sync. I created a test one in outlook and that synced fine to my phone. Am I missing something here??

When I create a new contact I am given the option of 'outlook contact, sim contact or windows live. Why will the windows live ones not sync to outlook? I’m sure this was ok on WM5

All I want to have is the same contacts on my phone/windows live and outlook. Surely this can be achieved??

Sorry for inconvenience. Seems that you are quite right. Overnight the battery lost more than 50% also with Radio 1.38 and mUn 2.00 SE WM6. I will try to switch back to HTC Original firmware fow now with Radio 1.41 and tell you the results.

I have somes problems with this rom and bluetooth. I test with 1.38.00.11 and 1.41.00.11 radio rom. Bluetooth don't start all the time i need it, some time it start and other not. A soft reset to solve the problem.

Are others users concerned by this pb ?

I'm using original HTC WM5 rom (french one) with the Radio ROM 1.41 and I have no particular battery drain, actually the battery life seems to have increased.
When I used to charge it 3 or 4 times/week, I now charge it only 3 times.
I'm using Wifi 3G/GPRS and video call.

Hi Psirac. I'm getting lost in this thread - because there seems to be 2 different stories: Sound coming out of speaker phone instead of phone earpiece - and also one way VoIP sound. The One way VoIP sound is a problem for me, too, and I am hunting for info. I have yet to test, but this is the thread for these problems: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950. See page 60, comment from wongshukok @ 5.53 today. It seems to make the most sense to me from all of the solutions I have seen - if - as the post says - the NAT is not a problem! Good luck.

i have some issues to report:
1- the app phonealarm in second line todays screens apears to me fuzzy wierdo
2- its about tcpmp i have instaled this app in 2 ways in the first i instaled tcpmp and then atifix and the other after a hard-reset i have instaled atifix and the tcpmp in the 2 ways the ati imageon dont apear on tcpmp video options but in this 2 ways i can see very well all the divx or xvid with image and sound, strange no??? i use directdraw with yu12 or rawbuffer . in that 2 ways i see movies

Generally once any app has aquired a signal, and you restart within the same area, and within a few hours, it will be a 'Warm Start' and should take a few seconds to a minute.

When I ran the GPS Info tool I do not see the taps at the bottom of the screen. The documentation shows to tabs, Setup and GPS Info. I Think the keyboard icon is bothering here. Can somebody tell me how to solve this problem?

I've try with G711 only because when i try with GSM codec it doesn't work at all (dialer seems to close him). I've think i've make good registry modifications.
My first real problem for now is audio !!

I'm experiencing some problems with GPRS functionality, after a few hours it just disconnects and it won't connect again.. If I try to reconnect manually it says 'Connecting...' all the time.

I'm using radio 1.38, but I'll upgrade to .41 in a few minutes.. Hope this will solve the problem...

No problem here- the keyboard icon is placed at the far right of the tasktray at the bottom of the screen, and tapping it raises/lowers the keyboard. When raised I can't see the tabs, but when lowered it's OK

First try to disable USB in ActiveSync (uncheck Allow USB connections in ActiveSync Connection Settings).

Works for me even from within established ActiveSync session. When I press Connect in Internet Sharing it automatically disconnects ActiveSync and connects my PC to the internet.

No, I'm using the MuN's WM6 SE at work (Windows XP SP2 English) with bluetooth. Important is that on the PC you've configured the incoming COM-port + the same COM-port in ActiveSync on the PC. After that I paired the device (when pairing it show it will connect with ActiveSync) and went to ActiveSync on the device, connect by bluetooth.

First try to disable USB in ActiveSync (uncheck Allow USB connections in ActiveSync Connection Settings).

Works for me even from within established ActiveSync session. When I press Connect in Internet Sharing it automatically disconnects ActiveSync and connects my PC to the internet.

Are you trying to browse internet from Trinity or from PC via Trinity? I assumed you need to get internet connection from PC via your Trinity GPRS connection, that's what Internet Sharing is to be used for.

Great job done by mun, great rom.

But I really cant solve battery life problem :( . Tried anything to make my battery life similar to WM5 but no success. All soft uninstalled, and waited a couple of days as seen in another post, even reflashing doesn't work. I've read other posts with the similar problems and I'm wondering if everyone of you is used to recharge everyday. ;)

I'm coming back to WM5 and I'll see if TE leaves me a choice :)

I have the same issue with WPA-PSK TKIP,but just with my Buffalo router.So what I do is:I start setting the network little by little, MAC Filter(I reboot),encryption(reboot),change ip´s(reboot)I forgot to tell you,everytime I reboot I try to get online with the P3600 I do it everytime I change a setting.It´s working for me really well though it´s kind of tricky.

Very strange ... some users don't report problems with battery life whereas some do.

I'm experiencing weak battery life. For Instance I left my trinity last evening at 11pm with a 70% charge level. Took it back in the morning it was at 30% level :(
All programs were closed, wifi off and bluetooth of SIP set to "never" and of course screen off.
All programs installed are Tomtom6, iLauncher, Resco explorer, pocketplayer
Orange 3G data sim card.

I noticed too that usb charging takes far longer than before.

Just a short question does people experiences battery problems chargin their device with USB (laptop or desktop computer). Perhaps it is linked. Might be a wrong 100% information.

Perhaps too a plugin causing battery drain.

Any ideas ??

Unfortunately removing of Pocket Plus did not resolve the problem. Device could not wake up again.

Seems like the problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=302061) with freeze up in standby was resolved for me by manual killing activesync application after each synchronization session. Device did not freeze up in standby since I made it a rule. Pocket Plus is back on my Trinity.

The problem and solution seems to be common for all WindowsMobile versions and devices and can be found for example here (http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=112638).

I just wonder why I did not have this problem with Wizard? May be because of smartskey utility that sometimes killed activesync when I closed it by right soft key. Or may be it's activesync issue with timing because Wizard is slow and Trinity and Axim are faster.

This is a strange issue that crops up from time to time. I had it on my FS N560, but not on my Universal, MiniS or now M700.

I use an Exchange Server, but the schedule is set for 'As Items Arrive' ; SpB Phone Suite turns off the phone radio from 10pm to 6.30am. No lockups as yet :)

The explanation on the AximSite in your example isn't entirely accurate- the Axim is a PDA only without Phone functions, to as far as they are concerned, ActiveSync should only work when docked. But in PE devices, Activesync manages the scheduled sync of Exchange Server, or POP3 email accounts over the air, which is why it turns itself on automatically.

However, the 'fake server' trick often works, so worth a try.

In my case I did not do 'fake server' trick because I've never seen activesync started by itself with no USB cable connected. Probably this was fixed in WM6. The solution for me was to kill it after synchronization and not to leave it running in background. As for Axim, looks like the problem with activesync auto respawning is typical for all WM5 devices except the default interval is not fixed in registry.

If anyone has VoIP working properly with this ROm - can they specify under what conditions - how they have configured their wireless router - what wireless router they are using - which voIP providor they are using - and a sample xml file. Normally the power button turns of the device and starting takes a second or two. When put into unattended mode the buttons are locked and the LCD is shut down, but the CPU keeps on running windows code.

I've noticed that IR Beam is active by default when U install mUn rom (se), you can disable it in comm manager. I dunno if this is related with poor battery life, I've upgraded to mUn rom yesterday and I haven't noticed this issue.

I had the same problem about a month back with WM5. All of a sudden I wouldn't get messages anymore until I soft reset the device. I could tell cause it also wouldn't let me send messages.. they would just get stuck in the outbox. This went on for about a weekl.. This problem is due to Windows Live. On some ROM's, I don't know why, when it is set up with your adress and so on it is always asking for connection. The solution is just erase your password on your settings.

I dont know when exactly this happened, but windows media player wont detect my memory card any more, even I open the file from the directory, the song will play, but wont appear in the library. The library only shows My Device and not Storage Card which it used to.
Any solution? Hope this will be fixed in TE.

This is a known Windows Media Player problem. Go to your storage card and delete the directory Metadata, you should be able to make a new music library in MediaPlayer after that.

This is a known Windows Media Player problem. Go to your storage card and delete the directory Metadata, you should be able to make a new music library in MediaPlayer after that.
I have also this problem, but I find this directory neither in the principal root of the card of memory nor in another folder. Where it can be?

I have upgrade my Trinity to Mun_rus SE version, and applied the "some fixes" and "One note fix" .
I am happy to say everything until now is working fine. MMS is working, Video call is working, Active sync is working over 3g, USB. Very stable (Been up for 48 hours with no reboot !!) VoIP is working for incoming calls only. I am using varphonex for sip I don't know how to fix my dialplan to make outgoing calls (help there please).

If you dial 00, coutry code, number - can you get an outgoing call made? also - for your incoming calls - how do you hear the caller? Internal speaker? Speakerphone? Not at all? Lots of us Trinity users have difficulty with VoIP no being able to hear but being heard - I'm trying to find our as much iformation as possible from users where VoIP IS working on a trinity WM6 ROM. I'm having trouble installing this ROM, everytime I go to install, just before it starts updating, I get a rainbow screen on my device, it disconnects from AS and it says that my PPC was disconnected...how do I ammend this!?

Thanks, but I can't install, I start the installation of the ROM, next...next..next...
Then I choose UPDATE, then next, and the process start.
After few second in the PDA it ask to install enterbootloader, I say yes, and then the PDA going to restart, and I get error on the PC because he lost the connection...
Please, should you help me?

After you got the error on your PC, dont disconnect your phone. just click "Exit" and run the ROMUpdate again.

That's what I did, but it then can't locate the device..or not getting any response!

Have you tried switching to a different USB port?

Yep, no luck...it's not working on LSVW's ROM either, but it worked when I did munrus' WM5 ROM..

Try this:
1. download the attached file (SSPL-TRIN.zip) to you pc, and unzip it.
2. copy the file (SSPL-TRIN.exe) to you phone via active sync.
3. locate "SSPL-TRIN.exe" in your phone and run it. (it will get into bootloader mode).
4. run the ROMUpdate.
