The bug, where you can't open to read any sms is caused by the patch for WM5 for changing user agent (if you have apply it, like I do). If you just delete the 2 files (browser.dll and webview.dll) from /Windows to restore the original WM6 files SMS will function correct again.

I noticed that after replacing my rtcdll with that extracted from wm6voip.cab, the speaker voice is very low and I am unable to activate speakerphone or raise the level of the speaker.

I have got a new Rom and i think it is great. I have however a problem with connecting to the carkit Motorola HF850. During incoming call there is a delay connecting to the bluetooth for about 30 seconds. I never used to have it with the old Dopod rom. ANy ideas how to fix it?

No WizBar. I did install WM VI Voice Commander at some point. I've un-installed that to no avail.

I think I'll reflash again - just trying to avoid the re-install game, but I guess you get better at it, and learn to drop the unimportant things!

On a similar note, is there such a thing as Comm Manager with an entry for the GPS? Now that would be good!

Hi, great rom, really liking it!

Just a few comments about bugs:

I've set up my MMS, but when I try and "Add Recipient" from the bottom right hand menu button in a new MMS message, it is blanked out so it can't be pressed.

Also, when in some menus, especially of Office Mobile one, for the first row of icons, the Text for what they are is fully visible, but the actual Icon for the program is half covered by the top bar where the X and receiption, etc. are. -- kind of annoying.

i've had trouble with my GPS info when other apps are running. If i close all apps using x button or whatever and then start GPS info it seems to be fine. Does this work for you? (p.s. i don't use wisbar advance but still have this issue)

Well I reflashed, and reloaded. Then suddenly I seem to have developed the same problem! The good news is that if I start TomTom, and wait just a bit, it's working anyway. I'm much more interested in TomTom working than GPSinfo not working, so I'll leave it be for now, but I think it's a sign that something's not right - which will probably bite me later on...

Ok mUn, nice notice this one about build... but your 2.00 SE was already fast and stable like no one, except for the battery fast draining issue: what can you say us about this? Did you fix the problem or we have to think that is a native feature of the new OS and that that every WM6 rom would have it?

Though I think they're right, it's a USB hub problem. Remember, some of the extra USB ports in your PC are in essence usb hubs just connected off the ones on the motherboard. If you know which usb ports are hardware connected to the motherboard they should work fine, did with me when I swapped the cable over.
Most motherboards only have 2 hardware USB ports, the rest are "networked" off those.

nothing to do...flashed with italian official rom, and then with the latest mun_rus...but the same...just after the HTC splash (where i correctly read 2.01 TE)... blank screen and so on...gui problems, cannot load pictures, backgrounds, themes ... refesh and change screens problems...

don't know why this problem, i flashed without problem every lvsw and first mun_rus without a problem...but this time doesn't work...

just loaded TE and it is sweet.

the only problem I have found so far is that the bluetooth DUN issue intoroduced in later WM5 builds is back.

ie it is not there and you have to use "internet connection sharing" and tomtom910 does not support the ICS method.

it worked great in SE.

anyone know if it is just a cab upgrade or if it is due to the later build od the SE version? I know MS said they got it wrong and they were going to add BT DUN back in.

Installed Wm6, installed about 20 additional software (from games, utility and so on) and all seems works great and very very speedy! That's really good!
Now today I'll be keep it up all the day and let you know if the battery works good to :)
BTW, do you have the .cab for the Microsoft Voice Commander.

Regarding the warning about GPRS disconnection- does this apply if you keep GPRS connected all the time?

I tend to keep GPRS always on for my Exchange Server sync. Will this result in fast battery drain, or is it only hitting the 'Disconnect' button that affects the battery?

I've the same problem as with the se version... i can't isntall it o_O. I try to install it and the device don't reboot on the bootloader and it display :

With the SipConfigTool, I set all my voip-account settings.
But on the today screen it always says: "Internet Calling: No Service"

As others have reported, the usb sync connection seems to be messed up, with this 2.02.TE rom.

At first, rebooting the pc & ending sync on trinity with soft reset, & then re-connecting trinity seemed to make sync work....for awhile. Later, it kept trying to change name for device & host computer, requiring me to delete sync profiles from both trin & pc and having to redo all.

Sometimes the files on the trin, both device & storage card were suddenly not visible, while synced. When disconnected from pc & sync ended on trin, all files were visable & fine. Sometimes, when trying to copy a file from pc to trin, while synced, it would hang, the file would not copy, the pc would indicate trin no longer connected. It was as if the sync connection was lost, when trying to copy a file, to or from trinity. (Running Vista Ultimate btw.)

There is no question that the comm prog in rom needs to be checked by mun. Is the comm prog of this cooked rom native to the original sourced rom it's based on?

I did find one work-around. When checking: Enable advanced network functionality, in the USB to PC dialog, in Connections, the sync connections seem to last longer before corrupting. (Usually, I've always unchecked that function for smoother sync operation, with any other roms.)

Overall, I really like this rom. Almost everything is running well by using the added cabs for the stuff needed.

I have had same problem in TE version. I had to delete partnership and reload ActiSync 4.5 on my PC running XP pro SP2. Sync has no problem after that.
ROM is good but still can not use DUN with my TOMTOM Go 700. That is after loading the mentioned CAB files. (BT_DUN and SP1).

mUn any news about the full version? I am leaving tommorow for a trip to Greece and I would love to flash the full TE version of your ROM. At the moment I believe SE version was a bit more stable! Is it better to use your ROMs with Radio 1.41 or with 1.38? Any difference in stability depending on Radio Rom?

Yesterday I powerd on at 7 am and shutdown ad about 0:30 am this morning...about 20 mins phone calls, about 1 hours GPS used, and always BT on. Playing a bit with the Wifi (uhm let say about 10 minuts)...at the end of the day the battery saied 30% remain. I have NO problem with the Active Synch that worked fine since the first time...they only thing I noticed is today that I lunched the WMP and the ram free went from 25 Mb to 5 mb...is possibile the WMP required so much ram???? I never noticed in the wm5 how much it was free after WMP...
Btw, since now, looks like a great ROM :)

psShutXP.exe is a util to restart the device.
You can put a shortcut in the traylaunch of BatteryStatus 1.04
or
make a shortcut to the program in the Programs folder under Windows/Start Menu

SPB Mobile Shell has features too.

Syncing works OK, but when the device is heavily used it hangs for awhile ... sometimes with disconnecting as result and sometimes it doesn't come out at all. To research it, I made sure it didn't use the SD card but also without it hangs too. With a small amout of items there isn't a problem, only with many items (like 400 calendar).
I adress it not to the TE ROM specific, but to all the WM6 ROM's (used LSVW's too).

Also with the vp3G HTC X-Button 1.5 "fixed battery drain release" it went last night from 70% to 30% battery. I won't adress this consumption to X-Button, because my GPRS was open too for Exchange Server and the WLM. I dropped X-Button and tonight I'll test again ...

I can confirm the SPB program problems (memory usage) are solved.
I've got SPB Diary, SPB Mobile Shell, SPB Imageer and SPB Weather.

Cyberon Voice Commander can be installed by the adressed cab, but the voice dail button on the phone doesn't work. I know it's a registery hack, but it's nicer when it's all on one page.

Technical you're great mUn and I think you're close to the "bug" free release (extra donation as promissed). I suggest some extra attention to documentation like release descriptions, roadmaps, links to add-ons, etc.

Can someone update on what the fix means? I dont really understand what mun_ru means when he says "you should turn off and turn on radio module". How to do this? I dont use gprs much but normally just close it with the red x (using ilauncher task manager) and then check it in the Comm Manager.

Ok, after few days of testing I can report about that:

Very frequently the device wont wake up till a soft reset, can't be more specific cause have this iusse randomly
have installed spb mobile shell, tomtom 6,x, htc phonepad international, wm VI black adobe reader le, .mUn. sp1, pocket rar, total commander, trinity hack and david andry batti, but the iusse comes out the first time with the device clean...so...

battery drain is a little strange, sometimes the battery consumption seems very fast, sometimes seems normal...still testing it

Sometimes the device hang and I must SR to restart.

sometimes after a SR I must reinsert the minisd.

WiFi connection is very low compared to the SE.

1) go to commanager
2) tap to phone button to turn off phone module
3) tap it once more to turn on phone module

i.e. befor GPRS using i have 29 Ma
after GPRS using i have 68-70 Ma all time.. that's why battery drains faster
If i turn off / turn on phone module i'll get 29 Ma and less again

you should to understand that drivers for wifi and etc were taken from test build ..so that's why they have some bugs.. I'll try to use some drivers from wm5.. but i don't think that it's good idea

Exactly the same issues for me + wifi very slow but Mun explained it ;)

As i read your post i installed this program:
Here in Italy with Tim UMTS in normal usage (after reboot) i got 126 mA and 270/300 if connected in GPRS, but i noticed that even if i disconnet it returns at 126, and if i turn off/on the radio using commanager there's no difference. If you're right this should sound strange, shouldn't it?
Also, in your example your values are lower than mine (29 vs 126). Is this due to the cell line/signal or settings? (my signal 70%, my backlight 40%, BT & WIFI Off).

What program do you use to see power consumption?

@mun With TE all battery drawning problems are gone. Now battery seems to last longer than with WM5. Congrats mate! ;)

- 4GB Trascend SDHC
No problem at all with all that stuff & 3G, Wifi, Gprs, GPS, SDHC.

I don't know how you can say that batt issues are gone... and that batt life is longer than WM5.
With WM5 i could use a lot my trin during tha day with at least 50% of battery safe in the evening, now it's 23:11 and a needed to recharge in order to post...

maybe it's time to make a poll regarding the battery draining issue and the freezing issue in this ROM.
