Good thing:

Normally when syncing the 2 arrows in the top of the screen should rotate, right? Now they just point left and right, and status in ActiveSync says 'Connected', however on the PC the green icon is rotating and it says 'Looking for changes'. Can browse the device through My Computer, also battery is charging.

Same here can't sync with the exchangeserver at work, has enabled/diabled "Enable advanced network fuctionality" under settings-connections-usb to pc but still no luck, never had any problems with older ROMs

On the bottom of the menu that just popped up, there is an empty (ie with no text, just white) menu entry (just below 'Low'). If I tap that, the Messaging application pops up, showing me my MMS Inbox.

In previous WM5 version of the M$ A2DP stack a lot of problems where reported (holes, hiss noise, CPU ovreload, incompatibility with headphones etc...)

Somebody else told that WM6 version could resolve the issues.

I understand the problem you're having here, if yours is syncing fine but ours arent, there's no way you can fix it because you can't replicate the problem.

I just hope it gets fixed during the ROM optimizing that you are going to be doing over the next few days.

Going to AS on device, stopping sync and restarting from device, syncs with Exchange Server OK via USB, but no response from desktop AS

GPS is excellent: Flashed ROM cold start to 3D fix in 2 minutes with TTN6!

Pocket Controller works fine, so can still configure/view device from desktop.

Whole device is very quick.

This situation is the same as with first aku 3.5 (it was also ported from benQ rom..). It has more bugs) that were solved when i used tytn's rom. So i think i'll make SE release on next week.

The update went well.

ActiveSync is OK using the patch you've provided.

Just one thing I haven't found regarding Internet calling is the menu to set up a SIP account.

Additionally, somebody reported a blank option on a menu that points to the MMS inbox.

I encountered this too when I went into the Calendar menu.

Tell me if you do not replicate this error, I'll try to make a capture from another phone.

Well done. Has anyone tried the screen response such as when you play Skyforce where the stylus is constantly on the screen? In the WM5 GPS version, the game slows down considerably but is ok when you use the D-pad.

AS 4.5 does not seem to want to sync these are the steps I have already tried:

1.) Disable firewalls
2.) Soft reset and reboot pc
3.) Enable and disable advanced usb on ppc
4.) If I unplug device while sync is attempting asks me what I want to do, combine, replace

OK so I tried everything I know and everything I read on posts to get to sync and still would get error message. The weird thing is that soti pocket controller works even though it says no connection established, so then I get a reminder from my calendar on my device. Everything is synced on my device but it appears as if no connection is established and MS never synced once.

one more problem to report.. Video call menu is not displaying , and once the video call is initiated, there is a incoming call need to accept.. and once it accepted device goes very slow for couple of seconds before it can start incoming video/outgoing video. and again once video call started, you cant make any changes to video outgoing/incoming/brightness/ etc.. goes slow......

Device goes slower while accessing email ( configured with imap) compared to earlier AKU3.5 .. may be still need more tweaks to make it faster ..

I've got a strange one here.

In my buttons menu there is as usual three buttons assignable, but instead of the usual (button 1, Button 2 and Button 1 (hold)) there is Button 1, Button 2 and Button 5 (hold). This Button 5 cannot be assigned to record which is what i would normally assign Button 1 (hold) to.

I did install a Cyberon Voicel Speed Dial from the Hermes forums since updating ROM. Could this have anything to do with it?

Please can someone see if this is the same on theirs?

This ROM is awesome, and I havent noted so many bugs yet. The synchronization went smooth without me to do anything, and was fine. I didnt find any new bugs other than the ones posted.
But I have a few requests:
Can I have windows live/msn messenger for wm6?

In the wm6 version of htc s620 or/and s710 or/and toshiba d900 I saw a WMP plugin on the desktop(or 2day screen watever) and also a Windows live plugin, along with a wireless info plugin.

Also, can you provide me a link or anything to good WM6 themes i.e which take advantage of WM6's kind of new interface?

I've done a quite extensive test with voip, I have it working on hermes WM6 so I know my settings are correct.

When the server configuration is properly provisioned, it connects without issues, and it does not have the "searching..." bug found on many hermes wm6 roms. However I have not been able to hear any audio through a voip call, and the server disconnects the device after few seconds after the call has been placed because the device does not reply to SIP packets, this is the asterisk log:

one more problem to report.. Video call menu is not displaying , and once the video call is initiated, there is a incoming call need to accept.. and once it accepted device goes very slow for couple of seconds before it can start incoming video/outgoing video. and again once video call started, you cant make any changes to video outgoing/incoming/brightness/ etc.. goes slow......

Device goes slower while accessing email ( configured with imap) compared to earlier AKU3.5 .. may be still need more tweaks to make it faster ..

Internet calling is enabled once SIP config file is loaded, But i am unable to make any outgoing calls. when i checked the directory \windows.. for required files, i cant find any VOIP?? do u find?

Make sure that your NAT is configured properly (this issue usually happens in a cone NAT configuration).

My connections works (3G / Wifi) and remain stable. I even see the SIP packets transmitting successfully when I enable SIP Debug in asterisk.

I'm pretty sure that the issue I encounter is regarding the codec or the incoming RTP port.

Ive just installed the ROM First impressions are excellent its a lot quicker, would it not be better to put a Wikki together of the issues that need resolving than 11 pages of posts?

My issues are :
Phone dialer does not work in landscape mode, just a black and white image.
OK button brings down windows
speed dialer not working
GPS Info not working

Tomtom 6 seems to work fine no issues
Active sync only works with 4.5 as per previous posts


all together a good rom just needs tweaking a little and would be perfect. well worth a download but I would use Sprite backup first to ensure you can revert back if you are unhappy.

Yeah I`m using Outlook 2007 too AND profile which is used is RPC over HTTPS, so in fact, I`m connecting form home, via my outlook profile (HTTPS) to my companys exchange server...

And now it works, it didn`t work with WM5 :)

I have the EXACT SAME ISSUE.

pay attention to the very beginning of the conversation (the first 0.5 seconds). You can hear the caller.

This is, from my point of view, a codec or a RTP port issue.

If somebody have a registry dump pulled from the Tytn's WM6, it can be very useful.

Hi mun, I've noticed that sms fonts are bigger than in WM6, in particular sms header is too much big and it takes 2 lines.
Is it your choise or a wm6 feature? Could I do something to resize fonts? Instead today's fonts are the same...

Well done. Has anyone tried the screen response such as when you play Skyforce where the stylus is constantly on the screen? In the WM5 GPS version, the game slows down considerably but is ok when you use the D-pad.

Secondly, with this version does the unit switch on randomly for no reason?

In WM5, I noticed if you set an alarm but don't activate it (tick box) the pda would turn on by itself at the time the alarm was set to. Anyone able to check? How is the screen response too when playing a game with the stylus on contact with the screen?

I have to say I thought I had the activesync issue. If I let the PC run it's course and then tell me the sync failed. I run the activesync on the PPC and then tell it to sync and it syncs happily.
1) Attach Trinity to PC
2) Select profile (if activesync asks you to)
3) Wait for activesync to throw up the error (In my case this takes ages.. anything up to about 10 mins)
4)On PPC go to Start -> Programs
5)On PPC load activesync then click sync

This works for me. I know it's not ideal but at least it means you can sync.

I've started doing all my flashing from the SD card as per the instructions in the wiki, to avoid any USB connection problems (bricked my Hermes because of a lost USB connection).

All cooked roms don't have the HTC signature, so if you want to flash from SD card you need either to:
a) flash HardSPL on your phone
b) start SSPL instead of the normal bootloader on your device.

Synchronizing fine except that files dont transfer.
In onenote deleting a file is not possible
In onenote, making a file with an inserted pic is not possible, gives an error.
Videocall after 30 seconds gets disconnected automatically

The sound in VOIP is the speaker: is normal, only one soft with a patch can correct this probleme the soft is WENGO.

I have the patch for this soft to hear with internal speaker but i will test the patch only if its correct this probleme or if the patch is only Work with WENGO soft.

Hi all,

I just uploaded the ROM (since I had such a great experiance with the last one Mun created).

WM6 looks good and is quick.

The bug I currently notice in the short time testing is the dreaded Activesync. I am using a Activesync 4.5 on and XP PC. I will try it again at home on my Vista.

The internet calling looks like an interest feature.

I will play around with it some more and post my results.


UPDATE:

- I have my Push Email working
- Cingular ISP is set
- ActiveSync at work using XP and 4.5 - I left it connected and it just keeps spinning. So I began to work. Next thing I know I get a call and I see the contact name. It appears it DID sync, but it did not state on the Active Syc screen. I added a calander event on the PPC and waited to see if it would update. It went spinning for over 2 minutes. So I X'd it to run in the background. 3 more minutes later it appeared in my PC's calandar. The strange thing is I cannot Maximize/open Active Sync..but it states connected.

POP3 Mail Bug:

Only Plain Text, HTML grayed out. I get no text in the message body at all, only the header (even though I set it to download the whole message.)

Big Problem: It downloads the message to the Trinity POP3 account, but it DOES NOT leave it on the server, as it did in WM5. I don't see a setting to force it to leave the message on the server, until my main mail client on my computer has downloaded it. So I end up with the only copy of the email on the Trinity, but I can't read it, because it has no visible text in the body.

Okay -- 2 wierd bugs (semi related):

- Could not access MMS settings to set-up Server (saw this was an issue)
- Messaging dissappeared shortly after. Does not appear on Today screen (though it is selected) and will not appear when a) slected in the menu and b) selected via EMAIL CONTACT button.

Hey mUn... with your SE being based off the Hermes ROM like lvsw's ROM is (???) will it lose the great speed of this ROM when browsing through start menu's and settings, etc. and scrolling windows. I tested lvsw's ROM and it was undeniably slower in these departments. Your ROM seems to run in real time and thus feels somehow optimised. Will this go in SE with new base ROM?

I haven't tested lvsw's rom. But i see no difference in speed beetwen 2.00 and 2.00.SE :) So i think it's good news

After and before (I flashed the radio rom before I upgraded it to WM6) the upgrade to WM6, the radio version was 1.41.00.11
=> 2 possibilities:
1. This rom doesn't flash the radio rom
2. This rom includes the latest version of the radio rom: 1.41.00.11

Well done svenitos... Excellent logic. By stating every option however you have not alluded to the truth. Which is that this rom doesnt update your RADIO ROM.

The main reason for the radio rom not being included is compatibility with some users. even mUn said he found the 1.41.00.11 buggy. some find it ok and other dont. If he did add it we would have users asking for 1.38.11 version to be added instead. he would be in a no-win situation.

To tell you the truth, i don't know about any fix for SDHC, but i know that it started to work like a charm in wm6 rom.

And of course it will be no radion rom included.

What for?

Windows Update isn't operative in WM6 devices yet, and may well be operator specific when it does surface. So, you may need to be an Orange, T-Mobile etc subscriber to be eligible for automatic updates.
