i have a Probleme with 3G i'm explain :

The icon "G" appear in mode Edge no probleme.

But the icon "3G" or H doesn't appear in the your precedent rom 2.0.0.1 "3G" icon appear when you have 3 G.

Does anyone have the same probleme with this lastest rom (2.0.0.3).

The GPS is very very good in this rom :

Cold Fix 35 sc.
Warm Fix 5 sc.

Hello everybody. Not sure is this related to WM6 and LVSW build in particular. I use WM6_LVSW (0.0 -> 0.1 -> 0.3) and sometimes I can not wake up my device with power button after standby. I have the same problem. I am on the latest original HTC ROM. I think I had this problem on the ROM the phone came with also. It's not happening often, but when it does I have to take out the battery and put it in again to make it work again. Maybe it's a hardware problem?

Hi all,
Just tested 2.0.0.3, and found that video call is not working for me. When I call the trin from a test nokia, I hear a call signal, but nothing shows on the trin, the 3G coverage is good where I test. If I try to video call the nokia, it only make a normal voice call.

NEW ROM UPDATE

This is RomUpdate was created from zero. it has nothing in common with the previous RomUpdate. may be only XIP. So, what is so different about it? The basics for this was the original OEM-soft for Trinity. Now everything should run smoothly. The little camera and GPS_Photo should work without any problems. VideoCall also shall work normally. Unfortunately I cannot check it, because in Russia we do not have 3G.

Some other question: in WM5 the messaging app used to auto-fill the receipientname when i was starting a new SMS, your 2.0.0.3 build doesn't do that anymore... Is that a WM6 'feature', a bug, or am i overlooking something ?

Probably is like that...

Everything has its own RUU updater...

So you first extract Hard SPL and patch the device...
Then you extract the radio GSM rom, and also run the .exe RUU update tool
Final step is to patch the ROM, wich is done as always...

Yes you can, but you most likely will loose warranty and language will change to English. If this 2 things aren't a problem then go ahead :D

when making a 3g call, when i click on the button video call nothing is happening
after installing HTC Tweak UI (soft of LVSW) and disabled video call option i did a soft reset
then reactivate it using HTC Tweak UI
and now the button video call is working
but i cannot test the 3g video call since my subscription doesn´t include 3G
but the button is working so it should be fine

Can anyone make this procedure and Call 3G and return feedback.

I've found one strange thing i never noticed before: that's the menu-option 'insert' when you're composing a new SMS message....but it's grayed out... Anyone know what it is and why it's grayed out ?

And as for the Spb Software: i like it's functionality too much to leave it off, but it's horribly written code...: HUGE memory footprint (slowing device down incedibly with 4 apps running as todayplugin, as compared to clean device), and there's the memory leak issue off course...
I hope they will update their stuff to WM6 asap :(

Latest Version V2.0.0.4 have following problem:

1. Storage card disappear after soft reset
2. Ocassionally hardware button included, "start menu", "OK" Left & Right soft key and phone (green) buttons are not worked.

However, Version V2.0.0.3 don't have the above mentioned problems and the ROM is very stable.

p.s. Both version of Video call function is not worked.

With WM6 trinity freezes completely and with regularity when using tomtom... even when selecting a city... leaving me to do a softreset as the only way of getting back to action.


EDIT: ATIfix seems to have resolved this issue. So not a wm6 problem...

1) the voip works but nothing doesn't feel him... made test with number I fix the telephone of the recipient it plays but on the trinity nothing the tone of call doesn't even feel him.

i have a Probleme with 3G i'm explain :

The icon "G" appear in mode Edge no probleme.

But the icon "3G" or H doesn't appear in the your precedent rom 2.0.0.1 "3G" icon appear when you have 3 G.

Does anyone have the same probleme with this lastest rom (2.0.0.3).

The GPS is very very good in this rom :

I have resco explorer installed - and it offers the option to add to sent to menu. So, I initiate a bluetooth Activesync connection with my PC - and while the activesync connection over Bluetooth is open - I can send files like this or directly through windows explorer for that matter (Windows XP SP2, ROM version 2.0.0.4 - Activesync 4.5). However, you need to make your PC visible to the Trinity, and then pair from the Trinity. AS long as you have set up you PC's Bluetooth with an incoming COM port - and set this COM port up in Activesync - your PC should show up as an activesync device when you pair Bluetooth with the Trinity. With WM6 trinity freezes completely and with regularity when using tomtom... even when selecting a city... leaving me to do a softreset as the only way of getting back to action.


EDIT: ATIfix seems to have resolved this issue. So not a wm6 problem...

After the latest update (all 3 updates):
I can make ONE video call. I get an incoming call. If I answer it, I see message connected. As soon as the other party picks up the phone, I press the left soft button and everything works fine.
Afterwards I cannot make another video call.
Also, I am not able to receive video calls at all.

LVSW's instructions were to upgrade the radio to 1.41.00.11. While I don't know if this radio works better with this ROM, I can confirm that 1.41.00.11 with WM6 2.0.0.4 works for file transfer with Bluetooth, GPS - everything AOK. Hope this helps

Like being said before, there are also some serious memory leak issues with Spb Software... I'm using PocketPlus, Weather, Insight, Backup and PhoneSuit frome Spb and i must say they all run fine without any problems, but the leak is defenitely there; i have to reset about once a day (on regular usage)....
But these are musthaves for me that i'm so freekin' used to, so i'll put up with for as long as i can untill updated software comes out.
What are these guys at Spb doing anyway? WM6 has been out for many months, but it obviously takes them a lot of time to tweak their apps... :( (shouldn't be THAT hard i guess, with just a minor OS upgrade, but then again, i ain't no code-warrior ;) )

I'm still on LVSW's WM6 version 2.0.0.3 and i finally found a bug (that is to say; one that actually affects ME... ;) ). And that is that when a menu opens, like opening the start-menu, there is no sound attached to that action... Under WM5 it used to have that.
It's probably in the thread here somewhere, but it's getting so long that i guess i must have missed any possible solutions to it somewhere between the lines.... :)

I'm running this Rom with only GSP player installed. I connect my I tech clip to use A2DP, I play an MP3 with GSP and it works fine, but everything slows down dramatically, menus, phone etc. (I understand that this maybe because I am playing an Mp3 and it is using system resources for decompressing)

Then if I press the screen and hold it down the music stops until I release and then the music starts again. everytime. Then when I use Windows Media Player if I play an Mp3 and hold down the screen it just stutters. The system still slows down significantly... Has this issue been touched upon. sorry if its a repeat.

conradx The solution for med was to "hardreset" my jabra headset, You do that with insert the charger 3-5 seconds 3-4 times, thne pair the devices again and both profiles show up... nothing wrong with LWSW or mun_rus Roms, think it is a jabra problem ;o)

try unplugging usb while in bootloader and reinsert, windows seems to detect trinity in bootloader as a different device, i dont know about XP but i used RUU vista drivers & my update went fine! twice!;)

You can also try to stay in bootloader mode and restart the update, that's what I have to do when I want to flash my ROM

Well, i`m glad to write from my Triny lvsw ROM upgraded, but need to talk about the no working atures.

I`m really new in that amazing world, and of course, my wife is jealouse of you all!

Well, i`ve tested both, the mUn and lvsw WM6 ROM, the last of each on 9/5/2007. After playing with both seriously, i`ve to tell that lvsw is much more stable. Therefor there is two big problems on it, well really big just one, there is the "diagnosis":

Videocalls doesn`t works. I dont know if the system is able to do video calls, but i`m unable to test it. The screen "video" zone is no sensitive, and it`s no videocall menu shortcut available, so, the videocall is not available on this ROM.

There is no recall feature available neither. If you push two, three... million times on the green call, nothing hapens. No recall on this ROM.

For the rest, I loved! (just wondering for a good keyboard with spanish icons...)

Yes, and "Call History" search the Last Call- and Call it works also. Or research on contacts... Or rewrite the number on the keypad... There is ways to call again the last number, of course, but the re-call feature of call the last incoming/outgoing number by pushing two times the the call key doesn´t work. I think is a usefull think interesting to be fixed.

But the big "problem" is the no video call availability on this ROM.

Hi everyone...
Can anyone confirm that there's a huge battery-life issue here ? I've been on the v2.0.0.3 ROM version for about a week now, and it seems to drain my battery real quick (i'm really starting to notice this now).
I used to get at least 2 or more days of a charge, and that's down to only one day now :(

Another very strange and annoying bug is this: when i have WMP playing music, i toggle the screen off with the 'enter' button, but when i toggle it back on, WMP has been minimised... So i have to first switch back to WMP before i can shut it of. Under WM5 this never happened... (and it's got nothing to do with the time-out set to revert to todayscreen, cause RescoExplorer for instance doesn't get minimised when i switch the Trin off and back on again after a while)...

Are these issues fixed in v2.0.0.4 ? Or would anyone advise mUnrus' version over LVSW's version in this matter ?
Aspecially the batterylife is a real problem for me... :(

PS; and videocall ain't working here either, but that's not really an issue for me.....never use it anyway... ;)

The ROM is Beta, problem is you are under no obligation to use this rom you take a chance with it. Since it is beta it will therefore contains bugs. lvsw on the otherhand does not create roms for a living (unpaid unless for donations) and has no obiligation to fix the issue if he does not wish too. I am sure it will be fixed, but you have to expect problems without expecting that your question should be answered immediately and all roms released her are bug free.

lvsw did mention: "VideoCall also shall work normally. Unfortunately I cannot check it, because in Russia we do not have 3G."

Well, you are not supposed to, but if I didn't restore, I either will never have the time to upgrade, or will never have the time to go to work:-)

I've been upgrading and restoring O.K. in most of the WM5 ROMs. The new WM6 ROMs required brand new installs. But, I just upgraded to LVSW 2.0.0.5 from the latest mUn ROM (good ROM, but it really drained my battery,) restored (I use Sunnysoft's Backup Manager,) and so far so good.

Man! I can't wait to test the baterylife with this, cause it's horrible under any WM6 ROM so far...

Hi,

It's NOT a good idea to 'Restore' (using any restore software which restore the whole registry setting) using backup software if you are upgrading ROMs or different version.

One of the benefits of the new ROM is to fix problem, however, if the issue is due to the registry setting, restoring the old registry will bring the old issue back. E.g. If the battery life short is due to one of the offending registry setting, restoring WILL definitely continue to cause this.

Of course one can say that re-installing everything is difficult and time consuming, bla bla bla .... well, it's part and parcel of being a BETA tester (all WM6 ROMs are still in Beta). If you cannot live with this, wait for the Official ROM. Please don't go around complaining it's difficult to re-install ... 'Restoring' old registry is like being dirty/smelly, then take a bath, put back your old clothes and complaining you still stink.

Anyway, off topic. For the heck of it, I did try to restore a WM5 backup (inc registry) to a WM6 rom. It will still boot and function, but who know what else is screwed up .... (this one is like wearing your brother's old smelly clothes, of course it fits, just don't expect it to be nice ... Euuu ....)

Morale of the story is that even after restore it boots and works, it doesn't mean it will work WELL. To be 100% sure, do not use a full restore. Save you a lot of headache in the long run.

TIPs : I find it easier to keep all the software (.cab file) in the storage card & just installing a few essentials after I flash a new rom. We the minumum essentials I can start to use the phone/PDA already.

Essentials : Phone Alarm, SPB Diary, WM5newMenu, AE Button Plus, Mort Ring

Good to have : SPB Insight, Pocket Mechanic, Resco File Explorer, GPSgate, Garmin Que, WorldMate, eWallet ...

For the rest, I just install it as and when I need them. Most of them are stored in the storage card anyway, and you can launch them without the need to install them in the first place (except Resco Explorer)

Therefore, I can be up and running in 15-20 mins after flashing a ROM instead of hours trying to reinstall every single software just to find out there is another release a few hours after that. This way, I can give honest feedback (that the problem is due to the ROM and not another registry problem from other version) and I can use my phone quickly, therefore I upgrade more frequently.

I am happy, my wife happy, I feedback happy, MunRus & LVSW happy, everybody happy. Life as a beta tester ....

My sincere thanks to LVSW & MunRus for bringing WM6 on trinity (doesn't matter if it's not perfect). It's better than none at all. :-)

Well...
Been running v2.0.0.5 for almost 9 hours now, and the batteryproblem seems really fixed!!! Some messages, a lot of tweaking and fiddling, some calls, 30 minutes musicplayback, 15 minutes WiFi, and i've lost only 10% of my charge (only dropped from 90 to 80% between 10:00h and 19:00h).
This was THE MAJOR REASON for me to almost go back to WM5 again. But this is super! Best ROM up till now (my fifth version of WM6)!!! :D

Some other annoying 'bug' i reported on before, seems to be WM6 'feature' i'm afraid... :mad:
That's when i toggle the screen back on after listening to music for 15 minutes cycling; it comes back to the welcome screen (which i set it to do normally) and when i pass this, WMP seems to be minimised by the system somehow. It MUST have something to do with the password time-out, since it didn't do this this morning when i left for work (and hadn't had the time yet to set a password). I know there's a hack for the password time-out, but as far as i had the time to test this, TomTom doesn't 'disappear' all of a sudden while navigating (while this WAS the case in WM5).
Strange 'feature'.... :(
If someone know a workaround without disabling password, i'd be happy to hear! :)

Hi, LVSW. Can you let us know what was the battery fix? Is it a registry thing, or something else?

The reason I ask is, because I did a restore. I know restoing is not perfect, but otherwise it takes hors to install each app, then enter the serial numbers, then customize its settings.... It would be great if somehow this can be automated, but I am not sure of an easy way it can be done (if anyone has a way, please tell.)

Everything works very smoothly, except I am not sure the battery is much better (tried running iGO for about 40 minutes on my drive to work, and the battery is now at 80%. If it's a reg change, perhaps I can apply it manually.

In all the other roms i have always gotten Microsoft Voice Command to work along with the bluetooth voice command hack version 0.9f. With this latest rom I can not get it to work. I install Microsoft Voice command reboot and when I press the headset the program starts as it should. Then I apply the hack to get it to send audio to the headset. After I apply the hack I reboot and now when I press the earpiece button I can hear the audio channel open but voice command does not start as it did before the hack. Wondering what is different with this rom that this no longer works...Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you for all your wonderful work on the roms. I am usually just a reader of the boards but was hoping someone could help me on this one.

Maybe with pop mail... (not sure)

Html emails only works on MS Exchange 2003 Server with SP2, so check your version ;)

I have recently spoken with a friend who had aquired a DoPod D810 in Australia, and after he told me what you guys were up to I just had to have one.

More than 27 hours running the 2.0.0.5 ROM.... Battery still on 70% :p
The battery issue is defenitely fixed now; battery life seems almost better than on WM5...
That 30% was used on 25 mins WiFi, 45 mins music playback, some phonecalls (short ones), some messages, some email downloading, etc.... So just moderate use. But it appears it 'll last up untill thursday at least when is use it like this... :D

The strange WMP-minimizing i reported on before didn't occur today, so this really starts to baffle me...

Maybe a tiny bug: when i re-paired my headset this morning i got an error while trying to fire up bluetooth with the comm-manager saying "Bluetooth hardware error". Once i rebooted the error didn't return...
Could that have been provoked by too little RAM-memory (which Spb soft is still eating away franticly) for the driver to execute ?? Never happened on previous WM6 version though...

Man...!!! I'm getting happier every day with ROM !!! Thansk again LVSW !!

Second update the radio, radion manage GSM, GPRS, UMTS, GPS ... features
Third file is the ROM and contain VM6 and LVSW features
