I don't know what's the reason why we have to do a hard spl to our devices to flash this rom. I'm trying to learn and would like to know the reason behind.

In previous WM5 Roms a SSPL was enough without "touching" the CID. Any help for this??

I've discovered something very useful to everyone: absolutely DO NOT upload your own back up made using for example Spb Backup.
TNTY will start and stop on the start screen without anything else.
In that case hard reset is necessary.
This may cancel something, so for example you'll be not able to do and receive videocalls and you shouldn't find the "video" tab under phone setting

Just updated my P3600 to this ROM, not much time to test it though but it seems fast and hopefully stable.
For the video call issue, go to start -> settings -> system -> TweakUI and on the Phone tab activate Video Call, then make a soft reset and voilá!

I will feed back later with my experience with the ROM.

Installed this rom yesterday on a non-vista pc with ActiveSync 4.2.
Wouldn't let me with 4.5 or on Vista. Strange since I installed some onther roms with Vista. The Dopod test rom for example does work.

My first experiences are not too good with this rom (2.0.0.5). On the first day my p3600 didn't wake up from standby 2 times. Had to do a softreset to get it running again.

It's slower than my previous rom (Wm5 mUn_rus SE).
But a positive thing is the battery level. It looks like this can hold up to two days, with UMTS connected all the time.

Conclusion:
Pro: WM6 looks, html mails, battery life.
Con: Slower, sometimes doesn't wake up from standby.

After some research I have concluded that Intent Midlet Manager is not compatible with new WM6 builds and it may be the main reason lvsw doesn't include it in his ROM's but I have tried THIS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=38684&d=1178639856) one and it's working! It comes from Esmertec and is included in mUn's ROM's as far as I know.

mun, i tested a2dp with other roms and sorry, it is the same, i think difference is that bitpool is set to high, when I lower it pda is no more slow. ROm is almost perfect, please keep same build as SE rom, just make it big storage and please remove Voice dialer so that if we want to choose voice dialer or voice commander we can just use cabs, so that rom has as few programs and as big storage as possible. I've found Intent MM cab on Hermes section and succesfully used it on mUn's WM6 SE rom.
I hate Esmertec cause with opera mini it does not correctly work with PIE in order to download files and it doesn't fully support touch screen...

I've used this ROM, as well as a whole bunch of other ones, including some of the official ones, and I just don't see that "too many things don't work." Everything works for me, at least as well as with the last official ROM I've tried. And I do have a whole bunch of apps on my Trinity too....

If it doesn't work for you, that's fine, but I wouldn't put too much of the blame on the ROM.

I'm agree with you dont forgot that rom is in beta version and LVSW make A lot of effort In his ROM and I'm sure LVSW will correct bugs.

Anyone have any idea if this Rom can be install via Vista or it will only work via XP. The other Rom, I can only connect to the bootloader via XP and I can not connect via Vista.

Also, anyone know how does this Rom built sync with Vista? As some of you might or might not know the WM6 sync issue with Vista.

Any information will be great. I am thinking of updating my Rom but don't want to do it if there's going to be too much problem because of Vista incompatibility.

I have Vitsa 64 bit installed - so I cannot flash ROMS under Vista 64 (unless someone kind out there has a way that they wish to share with me - driver issue for 64bit driver). However, syncing with AS is no problem whatsoever! Good luck:D

I'm an English man living in France and when I got my S300+from SFR - I wanted to do the same for a QWERTY keyboard (I work with QWERTY keyboards every day - so switching is not easy). The only way I found was to flash the ROM:confused: A lot easier when you want to switch to QWERTY

Hi all,

Im sorry but i need some help, after a cupple days try to upgrade my p3600 to wm6 and after real duzens off post a download lots off diferent RUU without sucess.... so what happend.... I have a Laptop with vista business instaled
and i follwed instructions, i disable usb comunications from windows mobile
i check that mobile services are runing in services, i stop the process wmdc.exe, I update the drivers off htc syc
and i enter manualy in booloader mode in my device with as SPL 1.07 so i decide to follow instructions and first upgrade to 1.20 SPL things star smooth and the progress bar starts but....after a few seconds a hear the sound like the device is resarting and on screen says that fails upgrade incorrect version...i guess that is somehow related with a lost of comunication, i also try to do the same to radio and to rom and the same thing, i see that other people have the same problem i just didn't realize how ? ( Image file is corrupt???? the same also try the last rom 2007 )....

I just hard reset, will try again and report....

.... Nope, it doesn't update to .0.7 even after a hard reset. It appears to update, but the bar moves a little faster than usual, then it turns itself off, and when I restart... nothing, it's still on 2.0.0.5.

.... It worked, after rebooting the computer and hard resetting. Who knows....:-)

This is turning rapidly into a love hate relationship. Love the fact that there is a new rom. Hate the fact that I now want to flash my Trinity - yet again:o

A few questions:

VoIP - anyone know if this ROM solves the one way audio problem?
Voice Commander - the screenshot on the second post of this thread shows Voice Commander. For me Cyberon Voice Speed Dial is the onlyone that works for me (I must have a funny English accent - or be too stupid to work Voice Commander). Is Voice Commander installed by default on this ROM or is it a post flash install.
Quick GPS - does this improve things? Radio 1.41 and ROM 2.0.0.5 gives me the best speeds I've had with my Trinity (TTTF 1m30s max and warm start 15-30 secs).

Both mUn and LVSW put a lot of work into their ROMS - to quote Antimus from another thread who put it very well: "We're supposed to be supporting all the ROM developers, not pointing at one as the best.

All the newbies will jump on this thread, see which one is voted best and ignore the one with less votes, which is nothing short of demoralising."

The above kind of comments are - for my part not helpful. Initially I preferred (and thought faster) LVSW - then mUn then MVSW again etc etc.

For one I don't agree with the above statement and 2 with the motive of the post. Best way to vote is to donate to the ROM developers who keep the forums (and our Trinity's) alive! Thanks LVSW and mUn for great ROMS.

And the device sometimes doesnt wake up after shutdown.

Video calls dont work well on this rom - i can make one call, but after i hang up and try to call again, it says 3g Network is unavailable.

After SR the problem disappears. then came back ...

I started with 2.0.0.5, now flashed 0.7, both fast and stable. But:

1) VITO AudioNotes doesn't record an ongoing call - even though their site says it supports WM6. Anyone here uses AudioNotes? Does it work for you?

2) Remove QuickGPS as it's only for SiRF GPS chipsets, absolutely no use on Trinity, only a waste of flash and RAM. If there was a working A-GPS solution for Qualcomm, Trinities would've been shipped with GPS enabled from day 1 ;)

Yes, i've got it working

Hard reset, Skip the Extended rom installation by Pressing SR when it starts.
Then install the Voice commander (regular 1.6 version) and it works through headset.

OK So I am now ready to plunge into WM6 - had to hold off following a repair. Needed to stay with a stock ROM for a bit to make sure all was fixed A OK. It is.. so now it is time for the Big 6!

Yesterday, i just install the 2.0.0.7 version on my HTC 3600, without any problem.

Radio: 1.41.00.11

But i have a small problem, is it a bug or ly fault????
When i choose messager, i have screen ask me to choose the account, and i have only Text Message, Outlook Email or New email account. So i don't have anymore MMS on thi screen. Is this normal or i made something wrong?

I've put 2.0.0.7 to my Trinity, installed WM6VoIP.CAB, configured VoIP with SipConfTool, customized ipdialplan.xml and now I have "Internet Calling: Available" message on my Today screen.

It looks that everything is configured, but how I can make a call? :-\

In the Help there is written that it is necessary to press and hold * button to switch to VoIP calls and that on the Today screen will be written "Internet Calling: selected".
Nothing happening when I press and hold the asterisk button :(

Can anybody describe how to dial, for example, the number: +420724539112 using VoIP?

And it is also strange that when I'm using WiFi connection, other party can hear me and when I use HSDPA connection I can't here and other pary can't hear me. :-\ So, I would suggest that it depends on internet connection quality.

Hi All,

I have setup and installed 2.0.0.7 and i have faced some problems. Here is the small list of issues that i found out.

- Bluetooth search for device returned me an error message saying that there was a problem with the hardware.
- Camera worked but when i took a photo it returned me a strange error code.
- I seem to have lost some calls during the past days.

The first two problem were solved with a soft reset. Could this be due to some memory corruption problem?

My current list of installed software is very small:

- TomTom 6
- Phone Breeze
- Opera 8
- Core Player 1.0.4
- Pocket WakeUp 1.1.001

Edit: It also seems that my Trinity is now having less battery time, not quite sure though, so i will monitor this a little bit more throughly.

Any of you guys faced these problems?
I am going to give it a try during this weekend and if i have some extra problems i will report them.

Nope, this is not correct, with every version of wm6 rom there was very high battery leak so problem can't resurface with 2.0.0.7, btw, processor usage on idle with this new rom is 1% contrary to previous rom's where it was 2% so my guess is that something is better in 2.0.0.7 which is by far the best wm6 rom 'till now although the slowest ;)

@banesi: Not correct is incorrect.

This depends on how you make the interpretation of what he said.
I also think that there is again a battery leak problem, maybe its not the same like before, maybe its not so serious as before, but the problem is back.
Now the correct reply to the battery leak complain is to ask the person what software have they installed and running on their Trinity. This way we can pinpoint if some third party software is actually the faulty of this, or if the Rom itself is the problem.

@all: I do consider this a very stable Rom and i have to thank lvsw for its fantastic work, but as a tester for him (like we all are) i have to be precise in the complaints and present always as much information as possible.

@martijntje_1: Pocket Msn was removed as this is a big memory ROM, so all the "unnecessary" tools were removed. If you search in this WM6 forum there is a post with some extra tools that you can add to your Trinity and if i am not wrong Pocket MSN is one of them.

To download just click on the links on the first post from lvsw.
To install, just follow the instructions on the screen, make sure the battery from your Trinity is fully loaded and execute the updates in the following order:

1) Hard SPL
2) GSM
3) 20070519_LVSW_Trinity_WM6_v2.0.0.7

Please be aware that you will lose all the data from your Trinity, so just make a backup if you wish to keep your data. I suggest PPC Pim Backup V1.8 (search in the forums and you will find it).

OK - I have tried just about everything that I could. The above didn't seem to have any effect at all. However, with 2.0.0.7 I managed one call with 2 way audio - but the sound came out of the main speaker - it was so faint that You had to stick your ear next to the speaker to hear (same volume level as phone earpiece!). However, after my one successful call - that was it - no more. Now back to outgoing sound only.

Lvsw - have you tried different rtcdll.dll's when cooking your ROMs? Are there registry entries or calls to APIs made by the VoIP software which tell it where to redirect audio. Where are these so that I can try different settings please.

Any info would be useful.

Preparing my HTC for upgrade. i will post my results in 20 hours.

So far i have used the mobile for 20 hours non stop, i turned off the phone feature for 6 hours and i have tested the following software:
Core Player
Tom Tom Navigator v6.0
Phone Weaver 1.01
Total Commander
Resco Photo Viewer

All of them work without any problem. I have still 90% of battery, and i have talked for aproximately 15 minutes on the phone. I was with it in a house where network coverage is bad so the phone is constantly searching for network..
I have restored my phone logs, sms's and mms's from previous versions without a problem also. I have still not tested bluetooth or wifi.

All in all software is faster and it looks very stable, but i think only after one week we can say it for sure. Very good package, definitely better than 2.0.0.7. thanks for the super work LVSW.

Well i installed and i can make the calls but sound has very bad quality. Sometimes just don't hear anything but just some noise.
I'm using wifi as connection.

Just one question,

How do you adjust the transparency for your pictures when setting them as your background on the today screen?

When i select a picture i do not get the option to set the transparency like you do in WM5 therefore my background is a very cloudy white.:eek:

Solved did a hard reset and this time the default backlight was a little intense so dunno what happen the 1 time

Can you post the voip files you used in your 2.0.0.5 release? Someone from a different post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1282836#post1282836 believes that he could make voip all consistently if he used these files and a new rtcdll he extracted from the Black version. He also posted that voip works with the headset all the time, and that if you plug in the headset then remove it, it will "jump start" the speaker and make it work.
Otherwise, is their any progress on this issue from your end?

i have the older 2.0.0.7 on my D810 and on the weekend it also dropped out while listening to bluetooth (so i had to listen to bloody gym's doof doof music!) and for the life of me couldnt get it to hook upp properly- the phone could see the headphones but not play thru them- all i had to do was delete the partnership off the phone and start form scratch- works ok again.....

Just 1 problem. I can't use the camera. Every time I press the camera button, appears an error message like:
Unable to start Camera.

I just updated my Trinity to 2.0.1.1 ROM and used Blackberry Connect 4.0.0.67, same issue as you do, tries to connect, disconnects. Have you found any solutions? I tried switching to GPRS, disabling HSDPA, but that didn't help.
