HTC p3300 o2 Orbit - hard reset???

Hi all
my device has become stuck and wont accept any screen inputs, but it will let me access some functions via the standard buttons. I think I need to perform a hard reset.

I have tried doing this by ressing power and soft reset but it doesn't seem to work.

As I dont have my booklet here I dont know if there's something else I should be doing.....

any advice at all please?

Press and hold both soft-key buttons, stick the stylus in the reset hole, release reset and wait for bootup to begin before releasing the soft-key buttons.

As I recall you get a confirmation screen.

Soft keys being the 2 hard keys above the ok and windows keys.

some random reason mine dosen't work

it will work.... use any solid PIN / Needle while prss n hold soft keys... mine worked
