SD HC Storage card support

Hi to all !When will be planned the support to use the new media SD HC 8Gb ??I think that must be only write a driver software and no need to change nothing in hardware parts.So, hopefully wish to know if just exists an updated software driver in order to read and write these media.Ask to some gurus how to walkaroud ;)Thanks very much

Sorry ! believe in me, I've used the search function in order to find SD HC topics before to post this one, but didn't success ! Maybe I am silly ....Please, can you post the link to it.Thanks vey much

ajong: At first imagine, try to make from cd-rom a working DVD-ROM (or from petrol engine make diesel one) - its simply not possible. Its different HW. Drivers U mentioned are for WM and CE but only and only for devices that have SDHC hardware

Meanwhile ....
I'm agree in the techology differences between Cd and DVD, here there're differences both software and hardware ! Think just to the laser that should read a different substrates so need a different lenght and frequency. But IMHO, this is not the case between SD standard and SDHC.
At a first sight, these looks analogue and pin to pin compilant, so, is only the firmware's reader/writer of the drive that "understand " the different and more capacity media and treat it it the right mode....
Beside this, I think, WM5/6 SD drive too must be "re-touched" in order to recognize this new format.
This, always IMHO, isn't a hard task and must be seen if the brands really are interested to sell more pieces of new SD HC media pushing the support to previous age devices.
Anyway, will hope some developer will write a kind of "Hack" to implement this feature on devices with 2nd generation SD card drivers ;)
