I've heard no earlier than June, although nothing says that it can't take a little longer than that.

No one knows for sure.. ..there is some dude in Spain that said in an interview that the update will be available in june. But there isn't any info about wich carier, or where it will be released. Guess they keep us left in the dark about this one :(

Palm Insider says June and has pictures. I doubt it will be on time, something will keep it from being released on time.

I bought the Treo 750 based soley on the fact that Palm annouced the Windows Mobile 6 update was official!
Been using WM6 on my wizard for 3 months now. Always wanted a Treo 750, but couldn't bear to go back to WM5.
Hope this is released sooner rather than later!

I felt the same way, but I really like a lot of the usability enhancements Palm made. I didn't want to move away from WM6, but Palm has made the transition easier to accept. I just can't wait until WM6 is released - that will make it all better!

speaking of enhancements, I very much like the threaded messaging feature on the Treo 750. Hope that remains intact on WM6 for the Treo?!

I hope they integrate it into the actual messaging app, so I don't have to waste a Start Menu item and/or key shortcut.

Sorry richy, but I wouldn't expect any major differences between the WM5 and WM6 builds. The majority of the enhancements belong to WM6.
Why does the messaging app take up more space or more key shortcuts than the pocket outlook inbox? (In the settings menu you can specify what shows up in the start menu)

I harldy think it's gonna be bug free, but I've owned a few other WM devices Prophet, Wizard, Tornado, Typhoon and Voyager by HTC and I must say that the Treo is by far the most stable, although it's not the fastest or the most tweakeable device. This is probably due to the business customer they are aiming at ;)
Things that will remain:
- annoying E-mail on the left soft button
- SMS -> left softkey DELETE instead of NEW. Lucky for us Treo users we have our threaded SMS :D
The thing I'm looking for is the extra speed with WM6 on the Treo, seen in it action and it sure looks promissing!

Well I don't have that many, but i'm using PDA that many, i;m a second hand PDA seller ^^ so i change my PDA a lot.
IMO: O2 mini & O2 IIi is the best, havent try flame -.-

Stable... dunno bout that, I'm using Pocket Breeze and Handy Switcher that always running in the background. My Treo kindda in love with hang
not the fastest n tweakable... yes, can not agree more with that. That's what i afraid from WM06, it more resources hog and not tweakable (My thought)

I think the fact that the WM6 update for the Blackjack was leaked is a great sign for the 750 because they were supposed to be released all around the same time. I was very amazed that AT&T didn't pull it down from the forums on their website.

I would really like to get my hands on a Flame, but I don't think the Flame is being released in The Netherlands :(

I use PocketBreeze, AgendaOne, Messaging and pBar that are always open on my device, I only need to softreset after installing a lot off stuff, or when the program requirs it :)

I've watched a video about WM6 on the Treo and it's much more faster than WM5 if you ask me! Can't wait to gain a few more % off extra speed on the OS!

I don't think you can change the left softkey to just one function!? You will always have that anoying E-mail app under the left soft key.

We're past the midway point of June. Do you guys think a June WM6 ROM will be released or should we move the deadline to mid-July? Thinking about it they should release it a day or 2 before the iPhone so that we are busy playing with WM6 to notice the iPhone hehehe [if that's at all possible, personally I don't care for the iPhone it's overpriced, underspec'd and locked to a US carrier]. :D

Do a search or find a forum that handles your iPaq. This thread is about the Palm Treo so it's a complete different device ;)

Just throwing it out. You know how Palm tries to make add ons to the windows mobile os. I was woundering if maybe they are taking more time because they wanted to see what the iphone might offer and add some of those features. I think it would be cool if the wm6 upgrade for cingular offered a voicemail app that let you check and save voicemail like your email. You know the network can support it. Just a thought. If it's not anything really special though then please hurry up and release it. I can't for the internet share!

I don't know who to trust some support guy or some guy on a forum. Usually the support guys don't know what there talking about and flip through a book and if you ask them that question they will say past the release date, so if the rom fails they have time to fix it within release date. Some guy said that the WM6 rom is already in the certification at AT&T. BTW July is first of Q3 unless there talking about there Q3.
I couldn't them go past July as long as the certifications goes through good. Alot of people are threating to sue Palm because they have yet to see a rom that was supposted to come out in Q1 2007.

In my opinion SKTools is a MUST HAVE for every WM user, but to do what you want (asign other functions to L-RSK) I would sugget SBSH iLauncher. You can make your own menus (not only one option). It's amazing!
It also include a upper battery bar, a close task option, and much more. Another MUST HAVE (in may opinion)

Back to the WM6. Lets talk about Treo 750 Audio update
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1387831#post1387831)...
WHY would they release an audio update while the WM6 upgrade solves it? Does it mean that we are still far away from grabbing the upgrade? Or just too many users complained so they made that audio update in the same time as they are working on the WM6 upgrade?
In my post regarding the audio update you may noticed I have spoken with Palm support and the operator said that there is no audio update for unlocked Treos but their engineering is working on this and other problems and there will be an upgrade soon.

Hi, I've told this in other forum, but nobody belive me... I had a Treo 750v running WM6 AT&T ROM, that I've bought HERE (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270139207789&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1)
Sure it's not an official rom, but the first impression was very bad: low RAM, bugs, poor battery life, poor performance... and it makes me downgrade to WM5.
Maybe, Palm is working to solve those issues, before release this (that's what I hope).

That thing you have must be a very very very pre-release version I hope. Just because there was at least one video featuring the Treo 750 with WM6 and it looked it has no problems. Many PocketPC bloggers that had played with WM6 on Treos talked very positive about it.
But maybe we just believe that the final version must be ok because it is the last reason to not throw the phone out for many of us.
As for me - if the WM6 upgrade will not solve the audio problems, storage card problem and other issues, I will move to another phone and say "Goodbye" to Palm - this time forever ( or for few years...:) )...

I'm using Vodafone's ROM (the latest version I found here), and do not have any card issues. The only issue a noticed is about auto off and "backlight autooff", cause "backlight autooff" isn't working.:(

I've been using Palm Treo since Treo 650 and I love Treo. I love PalmOS and NOW I love Windows Mobile.
I've been using various Windows Mobile Phone Edition (mostly HTC) and I've just received a Treo 750. This is the FASTEST by far away... It's a very very very good Palm's work because I used a HTC TyTN with a 400MHz Samsung and this 300MHz Samsung goes much more faster. Why? I think that it is very optimized.
With this "brick-post" I want to say that we should let Palm work as long as necesary to make a Palm Treo 750 faster than the WM5 version (WM6 in the same device use to be faster).
It's only my opinion.
