I just need everyone to re-send me all their information in THE BELOW FORMAT:

First Name:
Last Name or Initial:
E-Mail address requested: whatever@getztek.com
Alias: whatever@whatever.com
Password:

For those of you from now on, I will require a $5 monthly donation to setup an account (this will be done through a subscription and paypal). I feel this is a fair amount for whoever wishes to donate. I will keep the old link for those that wish to donate above what I already ask for.

It will include an alias and Outlook anywhere access (use Outlook with this account). With each account you can have an alias setup so that your recipents see your email address as anything you like! Also, for an extra $5 per account I can automatically forward your pop3 or IMAP e-mail to your new exchange account.

Go to http://zteknology.com/paypal.html to make your donation. Make sure to use the subscription link.

The Outlook Web Address is now https://mail.getztek.com/owa/.

So if you like the service and feel that you can contribute, please send paypal payments to zack@zteknology.com. Anything helps, even if it is just $1.

If you do not know what Exchange 2010 is or offers, please google it before making any decisions about e-mailing me.

Also, please give me at least 24 hours to set up your accounts once I receive your information. Usually it will be far less than 24 hours. Thanks.

MOST IMPORTANT: do NOT e-mail me directly. All communications about Exchange 2010 must go through PM. If I receive an e-mail I will simply ignore it. This is done to simplify everything. When I have to spend extra time to figure out if you e-mailed me or PMed me, it just slows me down and e-mail's are easier to lose. Thanks for your cooperation.

Here's the setup info...I feel it's pretty thorough, but if anyone wants to add anything just let me know.

Setup on Outlook 2003/2007:

If you have an existing Outlook profile, follow steps 1-4..otherwise skip to the next section. These steps are for XP based machine. If you have Vista it will be similar but not exactly the same.
1. In Outlook, go to File --> Import and Export --> Export to a file --> Personal Folder File (.pst) --> click on the root folder in this window and choose “select subfolders” --> Click Next --> click browse and choose a location and file name for your .pst file. I suggest the desktop. --> Click Finish --> Click OK.
2. Let Outlook finish exporting your data. This make take anywhere from 1 minute to 30-45 minutes depending on how much data you have (e-mail’s, contacts, calendar).
3. On your XP Machine, go to Start, Control Panel.
a. Make sure your Control Panel is set to Classic View (Upper left hand corner of the window). If it says “switch to Category view” then you are good, but if it says “switch to classic view” then you should click it.
4. Double click on the Mail Icon within the Control Panel.
a. Click on “Show Profiles”
b. You should see your profiles here, most people will have one one and it will be called “Outlook.” THERE IS NO NEED TO REMOVE THIS!
c. Click “Add” --> Type in a Profile name (e.g. Exchange 2007/10) --> Then proceed to step 1 below.

-----
1. If using Outlook 2007/2010, At the prompt where you choose manual. If using 2003, ignore this part and proceed to the next step.
a. add a email account and choose Microsoft Exchange.
2. Microsoft Exchange Server: server.getztek.com or ztekserver.ztek.me if using Exchange 2010.
3. Username: Full Name given at Signup.
4. then hit More Settings
5. then click on Connection
6. then click on "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" and then click on "Exchange Proxy Settings"
7. then type in mail.getztek.com for the URL or mail.ztek.me if using Exchange 2010.
8. make sure SSL is checked
9. click on fast and slow networks, and choose basic authentication
10. Click “OK” twice
11. Then click Check Name
12. And the username/password box will pop open
13. Type in GETZTEK/User or ZTEK/User if using Exchange 2010. (this user is your e-mail address. For Example: your email address is johndoe@getztek, this is johndoe)
14. Type in Password
15. Server Name and User Name should now be underlined.
16. Congratulations! You are finished!

Can I be the first to say thankyou to Denial for this service! Just re setting up all my stuff, but from what I've seen of the new OWA it looks really good!

Thanks!

EDIT: Can you please turn off enforcing security policies on mobile devices (eg PDA's). I don't want to need to have a password when I switch on my phone everytime.

Thanks for that! No more fumbling around trying to remember what I put as a password. And yeah, the new OWA seems really good! I'm actually thinking about ditching Outlook later on and just using the web interface.

I plan on the service being around for a long time seeing as how I use it myself. At some point I might have to close registrations if I run out of accounts I can give out., but the service should keep on tickin'.

I just forward one of my pop3 e-mail accounts to my exchange account. I'm not sure if this is what you are asking. There is no way for the Exchange server to automatically download pop3 mails from, say gmail. You have to forward those e-mail's.

Actually, there are third party connectors you can use, such as POPcon, to pull POP3 and IMAP email. Apparently you can also use Fetchmail to accomplish the same thing. I'm attempting to set that up right now for myself.

yes, some exchange providers support email aggregation. you can enter any pop3 account and it will fetch those emails. the problem is that i cannot have a forwarder on all my email addresses

That has nothing to do with Exchange, it's just a local Outlook rule. We're talking about Exchange pulling email by itself, without Outlook.

Alright, i'll do a quick google search and see what I can pull up on this subject matter. If I get this up and running i'll be sure to add it to the service. Thanks for the info Trancecoder.

That PopCon program is really awesome. It will require a bit more time to setup accounts (if users want this), but it also costs money, which kinda sucks. Also, in order to get it to work for users, I need their POP usernames and passwords which some people might not want to give out, and I don't blame them. But I need that information to make this program work. I think i'm going to start using this for my personal e-mail, because then I don't have to worry about having my computer on to forward new e-mails. Cool find.

Arktronic

Well, you could try setting up Fetchmail. It's free, but it runs on *nix, although I believe you could set it up to run in Cygwin. I've got a Linux server running Server 2003 x64 + Exchange 2007 in VMware (I know, not the best way of doing it) and, after I figure out how to properly configure Exchange itself, I'll attempt to set up Fetchmail. I could tell you my setup if I ever get it running :P

As for users having to give you their POP3/IMAP passwords, there's really no way to avoid that...

DeniaL
6th May 2007, 08:39 PM
I'm not going to use nix. Just not gonna happen :) If i'm going to run Exchange, its not going to be runnin in a virtual machine. Not dissing you doing it, because to each his own, its just not for me. BTW, Exchange 2007 is a PAIN IN THE ASS to configure compared to its 2003 brother. As of now, I am just using the 30 day trial of popcon, if I receive enough people that want to use this, and or enough people that donate to purchase the software, I'll definitely add it to my list of services.

Arktronic
6th May 2007, 08:44 PM
As I said, you could set it up in Cygwin - that's a light *nix layer that runs in Windows.

just like to post a quick reply to say that this service is fantastic! It's fast and I love that I retrieve email on my MDA, in OWA, and in Outlook on my computer. You are one of the first to upgrade to 2007 and I was wanting this because it supports HTML emails if you have WM6. I love it! Keep up the good work.

So far, everything is working great with this account and the POP forwarding, was able to clean out some of the 395 e-mails that had been buried on my mail server.

1 question,

Does any one have a way to back up exchange server setttings? About to flash to black 3.0.1 but would like to try to back up the settings to make it easier to get back up and running.

DeniaL
8th May 2007, 06:01 PM
Easiest way is to use Exchange's new Outlook Anywhere feature. If you have all your exchange data in Outlook, when you flash, it makes sure nothing will get deleted. Then you just re-enter the active sync info and you are good to go. Takes me about 1 minute to do.

I have to say... I'm very impressed so far...

Push email does work better than mail2webs service. I can now flag items which is really great. HTML seems to be working as well. And I'm aggregating a pop3 account. I love Outlook Anywhere... having my computer and my phone constantly synced is awesome... No more need to connect my phone to have a local copy of my contacts and email. Very nice ;)

Denial is very good about getting back to you with answers to questions also, which is very important to me. I have donated and feel comfortable recommending his services.

If you have any questions... let me know.

last question denial,

incase your service goes down - can you supply us with our exchange folder files?

I was also thinking about the backup/redundancy situation.

Well here's the issue. I have nightly backups that run. Plus I have weekly backups that run. Just in case one of the nightly backups become corrupted, I still have the weekly backups. The problem with supplying you with your "Exchange folder files" is that all of the Exchange information is stored in two large database files, with no real way of pulling your specific data out if needed. What you can do, is be pro-active with your own data. Setup Outlook anywhere on your computer, that way you always have a local copy of the information on the Exchange server, and if you decide to go elsewhere or something happens to my server, when you move exchange servers you can just re-import the data right back into Exchange at a later time.

DeniaL

Do you have Outlook w/ RPC over HTTPS with mail2web? If so, easiest way to do it is to set that up, and then export all your data to a PST file. Then you can setup Outlook to work with Outlook anywhere (same thing as RPC over HTTPS, just a fancy new name) and then import the data into your getztek account. Then you can just delete your partnership with mail2web in active sync and re-create it with the getztek account. It will then download all the info that you imported previously. Hope this helps.

Edit: I would have had this fixed sooner, but I worked a 13 hour day yesterday (which is why I haven't processed the new accounts yet) and at like 11 pm I realized it wasn't working. But its good now, so ya.
yikes that's a bummer...

One of the downsides to Outlook anywhere. Since you are not on a domain with the server, you have to authenticate everytime you load outlook.

so here is my conundrum...

i have been using the free variant of mail2web for my exchange needs for the past year or so. now of course i am amidst making a transition to DeniaL's getztek.com exchange offer.

here are my issues. since i do not have the capability with mail2web to use a local version of outlook on my computer (web outlook access only) i am having trouble figuring out how to grab all my tasks, appointments, and contacts from my mail2web account and transfering them to my getztek account. i also need to figure out how to remove the mail2web exchange information from my 8525 and inserting the getztek exchange information.

sorry if there are obvious answers to this. i really have searched the forum and google and stuff for possible remedies and usually i can come up with something. but at this point i seem to be stuck.

anyone else out there who left mail2web have any pointers for me?!

thanks. ~jimi

if your using the free or $1.99 mail2web account your pretty much beat. They dont offer export to .pst file service on those acocunts. Setting up your phone for a new exchange server is simple. Just delete the server your on now via activesync(on phone if ud like) and add the new one.

it wasn't letting me delete the server stuff on it before. guess i probably just need to uncheck all the boxes that have it syncing with my server before i try to remove the settings.

and i guess what i'll do is just sign up for the more expensive mail2web deal under a free trial and export all my stuff and then cancel. guess that's probably the best option.

thanks for your help.

@JimiMoore - I don't know if this would actually work, but you could try syncing your 8525's calendar, contacts, etc to a local Outlook installation by switching them from Exchange to local in ActiveSync on your PC when it's connected. If that works, then you're set - you can just save that stuff as PST and import it into your new Exchange account.

Hey, maybe I'm missing something here, but my "email address" is locked.
In other words, I want to send out emails as if originating from my GMAIL account.

I remember "Advanced E-Mail Options" I could specify "My E-Mail Addresses" with mail2web (however mail2web would block it from actually working). With this, it is not even editable.

So, am I forgetting something? :P

You do not need to change it in outlook. If you asked for an alias during setup, I would have set it up and there is NO configuration needed. It will work with your phone and outlook automatically. If you didn't ask for the alias, then PM me with your account and what alias you want and I'll set that up for you.

You just need to use Entourage, that's all. Entourage for Mac = Outlook for PC.

OK here is the real deal about this service!
1- support = Amazing its like having your own personal tech guy on call you can't get better.
2-stable = if something is to go wrong i have seen Dan work as hard and as fast as he can to fix the issue no questions asked.
3- ease of setup = it cant get any easier period he does all the work for you just put your info in active sync and your done.

i dont know dan never met him only used his service for about 2 months now and i came from port88.org this is 100% better in every way plus its exchange 2007 (fuken awsome)
so if your looking for a mail client dont look any more for 15 bucks you get the best there is. I personaly think he should charge more for this service its that good or at least advertize in more places becasue i have not found better any place!!

thank you you have made my hermes complete!!

Exchange will sync with entourage, but it's not really the same as outlook. The settings for entourage are a little bit different.
You just need to enter you username, owa adress, domain and password and you're done.

Not everything is syncing though, like tasks for example can not be synced with exchange.

Easiest way is not really "easy." Setup Outlook desktop client with your mail 2 web account. Download all your info into outlook. Then export all that data to a .PST file. Then create a new profile for outlook. Then setup Outlook Anywhere with my service and IMPORT that .PST back into outlook. It will then copy everything into your Exchange account. Hope this helps.

Let me reiterate that DeniaL is doing a super job and well, updates like these are definitely unexpected, given the fact that he is not taking care of it full time.

And to padawan, you certainly cannot expect services like you've experienced with various mail providers that charge you a bomb / put ads into your mails / limits your usage with various hindrance. I am sure you don't mean it in a rude way but IMHO, words could have been phrased better to avoid the wrath of many appreciative members like Austin and myself. If you require better system support, I humbly suggest (more expensive) alternatives which will definitely cost more than what you donated.

It is not your place to advise nor is it the place to demand, suggest you may.

pffft. I would be willing to do this more full time, but that requires me to charge a lot more and a monthly fee. As of right now I'm only charging for up front donations. You guys want to pay on a monthly basis and I will make this service a much higher priority, but for now, you get a lot for what you are paying for...

How does Push email work? I have an account setup now. So any mail that I get will get Pushed onto my device?

I sent a test message to my account and I can see it online with the web mail page but my device is not getting it.

Is there something I have to do?

I just double checked all my settings. Even if I try to manually connect with the phone, it detects no messages although there are when I check online.

Thanks for the answer. Did a bit of research into the topic as it would be an excellent feature to have if someone was kind enough to nick a phone or loosing it on a drunken night out. If you get a chance please have a look and see if it is possible.

Of course it may be that others don't want this facility.

Denial, thanks for the service, made donation, but willing to pay more to make sure you keep service, and it's worth your trouble.

Push email is working great. But a couple of questions for anyone that knows answers.

1. I cant get owa to synch with outlook consistantly.
2. OWa did not synch with old outlook stuff. Just new stuff.
3. Am I supposed to stop outlook from using the pop addressess, and just let owa do this. I think that sometimes when outlook is up, I get message on outlook and owa and phone. This means I get a lot of duplicate messages.
4. If I make a folder on owa, the folder appears on 8525 but it is not checked to synch messages, so I have to make sure I check to synch on 8525. can this be done automatically.

Thanks in advance

1. I cant get owa to synch with outlook consistantly.
2. OWa did not synch with old outlook stuff. Just new stuff.
That's probably because of the way you setup your outlook. Take your outlook profile, export all the data to a .PST file. Then setup the Exchange account in a new profile, and import the data back to a .PST file.3. Am I supposed to stop outlook from using the pop addressess, and just let owa do this. I think that sometimes when outlook is up, I get message on outlook and owa and phone. This means I get a lot of duplicate messages. You need to do what I said earlier, then if you want to setup your POP accounts, go ahead and do so, but set them up to download into your Exchange account and you won't get duplicate messages.
4. If I make a folder on owa, the folder appears on 8525 but it is not checked to synch messages, so I have to make sure I check to synch on 8525. can this be done automatically.

Everything works fine and activesynch shows that I am connected and if I add appointments they goto my phone immediatly but no emails. Even if I synch manually it never sends my emails to my phone..

In OWA my emails are there and all the settings are correct and I haven't changed anything so I'm not sure if its on my end but I haven't changed anything..

Anyone else having problems?

If I send an email from my phone it just sits in the outbox and doesn't go anywhere no matter what I do.

If I send it via OWA then it sends fine..

did you set up your exchange account manually or via activesync? one time after flashing my rom i set up my exchange on my phone via activesync and it wouldn't sync right. i did a hard reset and set it up manually and everything worked after that... not sure if that is what your issue is, but it's an idea anyways..

Everything working great. Denial is prompt and professional. He provides all the information you need. Outstanding product and service.

Just one question. For some reason the notification sound doesn't seem to work when an email downloads. Any ideas? This is probably totally unrelated to my adding Exchange Server so I'll keep investigating. Great job, Denial.

Guess I was sleeping :) Had a huge poker tournament last night and was up til 2 am playin cards :) I got fifth out of 125 :). Anyway, I'm not sure what the issue is, my stuff is still working fine and nothing changed on the server. I'm giving it a reboot right now, and my guess is that'll do the trick. Probably just a hiccup. Check in 10 minutes or so and let me know. It's 9:45am, PST. So check around 9:55-10am PST.

DeniaL, your service is great and thanks...it does everything it is suppose to...well worth the donation.

I'm not sure if this is related to exchange or outlook mobile itself but is their a way to automatically download pictures when viewing an HTML email in outlook mobile on my phone? It is annoying to have to open an email and then download the pictures. Can this be done when the email is sent to my phone through exchange or is it a registry tweak?

I honestly have no idea, but if you figure it out be sure to let me know! It's annoying how MS gives us no option to add certain people to safe senders list like in Outlook on the PC.

Make sure you check the YEAR. Everytime I flash a new ROM it almost always thinks its 2006. Make sure it's setup to 2007, right day, right month. That is usually the culprit for those kind of errors.

Coincidentally I found the culprit. Uninstalling a software called CeStar2.8 fixed the problem. It even cured my WM Live problem. I can sync well now but left with no reliable Chinese character display software.

DeniaL, can you delete my alias please in the exchange account?

Wow .... signed up, sent payment and got up & running all within 24hrs (thanks DeniaL) ...

Using it here in the UK on an XDA Orbit (HTC Artemis) with a modded WM6 ROM. Instructions were very clear, concise and worked 1st time. Test email that I sent myself was received on my device within 30 seconds of it leaving my outbox - how's that for speed :)

All in all - a very good service, good support & comms from DeniaL, and well worth the $25. You've only gotta compare this to the other push email providers who charge a lot more for a lot less ...

Thanks Denial, your the greatest. I had already set this up but your statement in step number 1-

click browse and choose a location and file name for your .pst file. I suggest the desktop. --> Click Finish --> Click OK.

I did wrong. I let it go to the default Pst file "Personal", instead of "Desktop" as you suggested. Apparently if you do this it will remove all your messages from OWA every time you sync instead of keeping OWA and outlook inbox the same. So definitely name the pst something other than personal.

Entourage is basically the same thing as Outlook. It has almost identical settings. And I don't have a MAC laying around to set it up and type out instructions, I can't tell you much other than to try to follow the Outlook setup instructions...or try to googlel it. lol, now that entourage works i don't like it :P i think it would be better to sync exchange with ical, the adress book and the mail app built-in.. were you able to sync it with the mail app built in?

edit: figured it out, basically the same setting...

BUT:

sendmail server: mail.getztek.com
recv.mail server: mail.getztek.com
outlook server: mail.getztek.com

once the account has been setup go to the advanced settings and enable ssl for all the mentioned connections :)

This is by far the greatest expierence with Exchange server hosting I have ever had. Thanks for offering this, I just had a question as far as setup....

I just got an iPhone, and I'm trying to setup the server to run on there instead of my WM device....here goes:

I have it setup on the iPhone and it pulls in the emails, but only when I go to the email app on the phone (maybe out of your control, could be and software issue within the phone) and I was wondering if it is some type of settings that I must have.

The settings that it asks for in the iPhone is:

Name - My Name
Address - Email@getztek.com
Description - What ever

Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name - mail.getztek.com
User Name - email@getztek.com
Password - My Pass

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
Host Name - mail.getztek.com
User Name - Says Optional
Password - Says Optional

Under Advanced it has: This is the folders where it syncs between Server and Device
Drafts Mailbox - Drafts
Sent Mailbox - Sent Items
Deleted Mailbox - Deleted Items

Deleted Messages:
Remove - After One Day

Settings:
Incoming Uses SSl - On
Outgoing Uses SSL - On
Authentication - Gives Choices of MD5 Challenge-Response, NTLM, or PASSWORD where Password is selected
IMAP Path Prefix - INBOX

Where I'm getting at, I've seen some people post that there has to be some type of IMAP setting and its different then the Exchange address, something like IMAP.exchageserver.com rather than mail.getztek.com, or exchange.getztek.com

Are the settings Im using correct or something needing to be changed, as I know you may not have the iPhone and may not be familar with whats going on with it, I just thought I'd ask to see if you just may know a fix. Just trying to get the true "PUSH" feel on the iPhone as I did on my WM device. Thanks again for the great service.

Not gonna happen on the iPhone. They don't have support for Exchange servers...and to be honest I have no idea if the pop access even works for the Exchange 2k7 right now. I'm waiting for the next SP to be released before I configure that. As of now, all the configuration is done through the new Exchange Management Shell which is a pain in the ass. And i'm told the new SP will create a GUI interface for configuring IMAP and POP access.

Just searching around on the net tryin to configure yahoo's push setup for iphone and I came across this info. Not sure if it helps or resolves anything, just thought I'd post to see where it could possibly take us.

But this link is giving info as far as Exchange Server 2007 suppor for the iphone and an newly released update to fix issues not allowing it to work correctly.

Is it possible to look into this to see if it would actually work. Just asking, would love to use your service on the new device, and also there are ALOT of people on mac forums looking for an alternative method as well, and this could bring you ALOT of business. The YAHOO shyt is just not working for us, so I know the business could come too you. So many people has paid $20 for the yahoo i guess premium account, and its still not working for them, that money could be paid too you.

anyways now todate i got 5 email address...

1) ...@mail.com
2) ...@hotmail.com
3) ...@yahoo.com
4) ...@gmail.com
5) ...@mail2web.com

and not to mention my mobile providers default mail account and my home broadband mail account....

Without pop or IMAP access I cannot forward your emails to exchange. The charge is just a $20 one time fee. As always though, I will gladly accept any extra donations people are willing to give.

Is there a way to "save" the login password for exchange?

I have several layers of security and having to enter that is just a bit of an extra headache, if not I guess I can learn to live with another password.

Also for those of you who are using push, how are you finding your battery life to be working out?

nopes no way to "save" password...

battery life for me is ok on push as long as i'm on GSM instead of Auto or UTMS..

Thanks for that... didn't think so, as for battery life, I will try to force GSM for a few days and see how that works out.

I have bandselect running so we will see how it goes.

Thanks again for such a great service. From playing with the server on my iPhone and doing alot of searching online. Heres what it comes down too...

Server works fine with iPhone and I dont believe the actual IMAP update had no effect as too where I used the same exact settings before you did the update and it still works the same exact way.

As far as the "Push" feature, doesnt work as of yet because of the inability of the iphone itself, has nothing to do with the server. Right now, iPhone only supports an auto check for new messages for every 15+ mins, and plans for an update in the fall for an "TRUE PUSH" expierence.

As of right now, Calendar and Contacts cant be synced wireleslly to the server, only attachment to USB cable or Dock for syncro to Outlook

Syncro to Outlook is pretty smooth when docked, all new added events and contacts are synced fine, only flaw, on iPhone calendar, things are dated 4 hours before due time. Maybe an iPhone flaw of course.

There is no true push service out there for iPhone as of yet, not even yahoo...but Im going to focus on bringing alot of business to this server, because its the best yet!

This sounds great! I have been looking into a hosted 07 account and there are only a few options out there and they all have bs hoops you have to jump through. Happy to put my $20 in for all the work you are doing. Thank you!!

You got IMAP working? also the sending of mail? or do you use a seperate smtp server?
..
I'm trying to get it to work with apple mail, but the sending keeps failing..

I've setup IMAP access in Outlook Express on my computer and sending works fine...I sent two test e-mail's, one to gmail and the other to a yahoo email. Both went through w/out a hitch. So.......I dunno

Edit: Make sure you have it set to Authenticate your outgoing mail server.

I actually just have mail.getztek.com in the outgoing server, and it seems to work fine. Never tried with the SMTP in the settings. is it SMTP.getztek.com? or just the putting of the mail.getztek.com is what was required?

DeniaL
11th July 2007, 05:38 AM
smtp.getztek.com doesn't exist. When you have mail servers that are pop or imap that's when you'd have smtp.getztek.com but in exchange the mail.getztek.com will accomplish both. You can seperate it, but it's not necessary and I don't have any plans to do so.

not to offense any ppl here..but just my two cents...your device's data including all files in your storage card can be wipe out remotely by the exchange administrator. I thougth I should get this info out to everyone and think again before you use any other ppl's service. Also backup your data to the computer (not the storage card).

No crap...it's one of the big new features of Exchange 2007. Users can remote wipe their own devices as well through OWA. Thanks for assuming that i'm a douche bag!

You get what you pay for.

To me, this service is WELL WORTH $20 bucks....awesome service and support.

Already recommended it to my friends/family.

also like to mention, the server is FAST and outlook 2007 is a major plus.

--just hope the server will last for a long long time, so I dont have to look elsewhere for my exchange needs.

You say this like this same thing cant be done by an hosted exchange server from another site, you also take an risk by submitting your info to websites over the net, theres also an risk in installing 3rd party apps on your device, also another risk downloading software on to your PC as well. Its all a risk we all take regardless of what it is we do, if we dont design it, we dont know what to expect, regardless of what and who the creator or creation is. Its just a part of the game.

My point is to warn ppl, backup their data to their computer instead of backing it up to the same storage card in case if exchange wipe out your data, you still have backups on your computer.

I think the point we are trying to make is that you made a comment in a thread about someone offering the push service with Exchange 2007.

You didn't say I really don't like this feature because of "X", you simply said we need to watch out. Which many of us took as you implying that we need to worry about Zack's mental state should he choose to wipe our devices.

That being said, anyone who doens't have a backup of their contacts, as well as their data IMHO deserves to have it wiped.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I depend on my device.

This guy is just stirring up trouble. He thinks i'm some immature little kid that is going to wipe everyone's device just for shits and giggles. Ya, that's what i'm doing this for! THE 20 BUCKS AND SOME SHITS AND GIGGLES! Please...I'm just trying to offer an affordable service to the forum that has helped me out so many times. Just giving back with what "I" can.

as with the shithead that stirred trouble some posts back, don't think you should be bothered by this one...

don't have to "accept" his account if you don't want to...

you're doing a great job.. and i'm sure many would concur with me on this.

not here to make trouble. I just thought I should bring this up...it's just a fair warning. You don't have to take it seriously and I am not applying for the account here. I am a network administrator and I have my own. Thanks. If you don't like my warning...it's all good. Again, no offense to anyone here...

DeniaL thanks for this awesome service. I have been loving it on my blackjack, can't live without it now! I do have a request, it's nothing do or die. But would it be possible to throw up a favicon for the owa? I use my bookmark toolbar in FF and just show favicons. If not it's alright just asking. :)

Actually, if anyone has any experience setting this up i'm having a bit of a problem. I think it has to do with the way Exchange re-routes for its homepage. I can't seem to get it to show up. Please PM me if you feel you can help.

You can do that by modifying the asp file for the logon page. Create a 16x16 icon and save it to your web root. Locate the logon.aspx file..usually in ExchangeServer\ClientAccess\Owa\auth then place the following under the <head> tag

<link rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="/youricon.ico">

Note: It's the second <head> tag. If you scroll down the page, you will see a second <head> tag.
You can also replace that <title></title> under the second <head> tag to whatever name you want to call your site.
Hope that helps.
