Hi,

Anyone notice that writing using Atom Life is very terrible. Every time I write, the strokes appear very slowly and they got linked together. I notice this as when I was using Xda II mini (Magician), there is no such problem.

Try opening Notes and write using Ink mode. Try doing it naturally like you are writing on a piece of paper. You see that the handwriting is gibberish.

I went over to O2 repair centre and tried other Atom Life and they all show the same problem.

If anyone out there having the same problem, please do call O2 Hotline and report this. The more users reporting this, the faster they'll fix it.

Thanks.

Yeap I noticed this too. Not able to draw in notes is a smal thing for me. The bigger problem, for me and many others, is that this is a problem for the transcriber too, which really sucks. I also have an Atom Exec, and the situation's same.

Gee... I wonder why nobody complained about this (I checked with the O2 helpdesk and they confirmed that they never receive any complaints about this).

Anyway, I hope everybody out there call O2 helpdesk to get them fix this. Now, I can't even use the handwriting recognition program (need to write very very slowly) and is forced to use only keyboard.

The more people complain about this, the faster they will fix this.

By the way, don't bother sending them email at www.seeo2.com, they won't reply. The best way is to call.

Thanks for the help (if you managed to spend some time to call them).

I've tried my friend's Dopod 838 Pro and I found out that the problem with Atom Life is even worst. Dopod 838 Pro is a little slow (compared to Xda II mini) but it is acceptable.

I got a call from O2 few days ago. He told me that the reason why writing with Atom Life is not as wonderful as other PDA products are

1) It uses the ROM as temporary memory (same with other new PDA with WM5)
2) It's ROM is 1GB (this is the reason why it is sooo slow)

Wow! This is great!
