Network error for 3. bricked?

I can't seem to connect to my 3 network. In the strength meter on top, theres a ! sign. And there is no service for current network. When i try to find network manually, theres no 3 service.

Is my dopod 838pro bricked? It was working fine until it hanged and after i soft reseted it, it can't connect to the network anymore.

Is there any way i can fix it? I have just updated all the ROMS and Radio roms and am running wm6.

Hmmm... have you read the Sticky thread on bricks? This sounds like a problem I have seen in there. Probably easy to fix - first try flashing back to where you started. Read through the sticky - it will help you.

How long ago did you flash? Did it never work after flashing or did it work for a day, a week...? Need more info. I assume you verified that the SIM isn't the problem?

yes i have read the brick thread and have tried flashing it again but it didn't seem to work. i've also re-did the radio ROM as well.

I flashed and upgraded to wm6 after the network problem and it still doesn't seem to work.

I don't think it's the sim problem as it works with my other phone SE k800i. But i'll try changing the sim card and get a new one on monday.

I'm leaving the option of sending it to Teleplan as a last resort as it is quite a hassle to send the dopod all the way to sydney when i'm situated in Perth.

Anyone know a service center for dopod in Perth? ;)

i'm not sure but when i use my optus sim card, it seems to work. but not with my 3 sim card.

Try starting up your phone with no sim card and see what happens, I think have the same problem, I can't use any other radio than 1.16, and even that may have problems. If I use any other radio roms, I get no service, and if I take out my sim, it doesnt even realize that there is no sim, it says no service, and also the phone will freeze on the today screen with half the plugins loaded.

BTW what radio are you using?

I get the same error with my 3 sim and the .41 radio rom.
