Hi guys,
I know that there was couple of similar threads around, but did not find any solution. So I am reopening this issue again.

SD card in my magician is getting formatted without any reason.

Looks like problem with FAT.... If I use some data recovery software, I can save the data from the card.

I have tried all the hints from the other threads like registry edit, format SD card in magician, etc....nothing helped.

It shoudl not be firmware problem, couse i have tried 3different ones.

Tested with different SD card and gets broken as well :(

Magician is fresh installed, only Tomtom and SBH pocket plus.

Anyone has any idea what could be wrong?

Thanks!

k well if you tried the search function most common problem with Fat cards is the partition gets corrupted, get some partition management software delete the current SD card partition and put a new one in (suggest you will probably need a card reader)

i do it at least once a week to keep my card spring time fresh and nice and fast.

no i rebuild the partition, it just depends on what you do with ur card and how big it is.

ive got a 2 gig partition that is full of all sorts of things (also regular supply of movies and MP3) so my partition is in need of constant repair, i also use Fat32 instead of Fat16.

but from what you say i would recomend at least fixing it once and see how that goes.
