Hi,
Is it possible to dump a rom or flash a rom from another device and make it work on the Hermes? I know that previously the answer would be a certain no, but given all the advances that have been made with home cooking roms, I wondered if this had changed.
Kind regards,
Dave

It may be possible but it is unlikely due to hardware differences, maybe other HTC devices would be more do-able......?

You can use bepe's packagetool to separate OS.nb into SYS and OEM parts. Use XIP and OEM from hermes, you can use SYS from another device and create the rom with BuildOS.exe (bepe's RK). If you want everything working you should use same OS & AKU versions for the OEM & XIP parts as the one you're replacing SYS, otherwise it can cause problems.

Command 'lrs' will allow you to flash signed files (without nbh header).

I aslo have a HTC made Dell X51v...wondering if there's a way to custom build a WM6 OS onto this device.
