Htc Breeze Test Sspl [Archive]

So, guys, here is the first test SSPL for breeze. I have no breeze, so please report if it works.
extract to your device root!!!
start spl.lnk AND immediately press POWER and CAMERA buttons. (or try hust CAMERA)
if the screen shows sth like spl 1.01 DFR, then everything is ok - it is my spl
this version was intended to allow you to flash any CID rom update and unsigned nbh files. the next release will be based on the latest spl and include compatibility with new RUU of 1.34 rom updates and the feature to fix bad blocks.

EDIT - may 10, 2007 - SSPL V1 works successfully
CID check - disabled
NBH check - disabled

Olipro for his hard spl which actually saved me from hours of IDA analysing - I simply compared his spl to original and patched the one from breeze

after the reboot i can't get into the bootloader...

what did you changed in the spl ?! or in the sspl.exe ??

if this works i look for a way to extract the files out of the excalibur wm6 rom ...

i now have the problem that i can't connect mtty to bootloader... mtty ends with error when producing the cmd command line... i just had this problem with hermes to... i have 2 mtty version on all the 2 the same error...

i will try it now on a other machine..

Hi, i work on it!!

on afternoon/evening i will try to cook a rom with a few freeware tools bases on the actuell rom!!

i can begin working on wm6 rom recently when extract the excalibur content... because of the problem that breeze is a smartphone an hermes a ppc there would be some problems with coredll's of the system! because of that i need smartphone wm6 rom... befor that there is no wm6 on breeze possible!

....

can anyone else can try mtty with the sspl ?

1) Rename the BREEZE_HTCEUR_1.34.251.1_SHIP.nbh file to BREEIMG.nbh
2) Copy to sd card
3) start spl.lnk and immediately press POWER and CAMERA buttons
4) Phohe start in bootloader and flash new rom. (but no new radio)

this should work when you have a new spl installed - and you want to flash another cid rom!!

has nothing to do with unsigned code!!

i have cooked a rom now...

only small reg changes!!

i have flashed it with hermes RUUUpdaterV2

only a OS file!

Phone boots! now i have to check if the changes are taken over!!

I can also confirm that this SSPL truly works, but I am still unable to flash 1.38 radio over 1.29 currently installed with this SSPL version.

Any hints when could we expect SSPL based on some newer SPL release (like 1.09 or 1.10)?

just extract the radio rom what you want from an shipped rom ...

take it and re nbh's it with the nbgehn utility ... than put it in the custom ruu folder start ruuwrapper and flash it...

Tried that 3 times already. Doesn't work! :mad: Although process finishes whithout any glitches, System Info still says Radio ROM 1.29.00, and my phone still acts like crap...

.... i tried it too ... no problem... you should have done a mistake...

download an usb sniffer and let it run when updating... maybe then we can see the error...

but i had done it too... with sspl had no problems!!

This is what I did/have...
- I have installed Radio ROM 1.29.00.10 (with older 1.32.251.1 RUU)
- My MTeoR is CIDed QTEK_A07 - all available RUUs fail with INVALID VENDOR ID error
- If I use SSPL (linked in this thread), my MTeoR actually does start SuperCIDed and I can run any RUU or custom ROM, and although all of them complete with success Radio ROM DOES NOT CHANGE at all.

My theory is (based on posts in Hermes upgrading forum) that Radio ROM 1.29 installed Radio BL 0108 which in turn does not allow flashing Radio ROM when started SPL is pre-1.09 codebase. I presume that it flashes with 1.09, 1.10 or newer only (makes sense because HTC released new 1.34 RUU which first installs SPL 1.09, then the rest of ROM).

Can anyone concur with my assessment or am I completely wrong?

SSPL V1 works successfully
CID check - disabled

I have now read for weeks the Hermes/Trinity threads wondering if this would be possible for "simple" smartphones too - and you did it :eek:

So while it is possible for the MTeor, maybe your kind of patching the SPL would also work for the Excalibur/S620?
I would love to flash my O2 Cosmo, but want to have an original ROM Backup for warranty/fallback reasons.
I also found out that it is possible to extract and cook ROMs for it like the way for the Hermes - but I cannot flash because of this f****g need for signed .nbh. :mad:

May be you are able to do this MAGIC on a Excalibur SPL too?
I would try out on my phone if you want to take the challange - if it doesn't work I think I'll have to get a MTeor

Anyway - lots of thanks for your work - and giving me back my hope on smartphone ROMcooking :D

as i expect the excalibur is based on wizard ...

maybe a modified sspl there can help to do same thing on excalibur ...

when you use the lnk. method and sspl there can nothing go wrong...

have you already tryed the mteor sspl??

I'm a little bit confused now - why do you think Excalibur is based on Wizard?
I would tend that it's similar to Hermes, as it has signed .nbh files for upgrade and Samsung NAND like the Excalibur - but I may be wrong.

I have not tried the Mteor SSPL yet - maybe I will try next week (need the TomTom this weekend) but before that I think I'll have to dig a little deeper into SSPL working/modifying things like the .lnk method....

pof wrote here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1216080#post1216080)a few weeks ago that it would be NOT possible to flash the Excalibur ATM. But maybe the SSPL will do the trick.

Hi, I've got this error message :

Insufficient trust level. You need to application unlock your device (or sign executable with privileged cert). What's wrong ?

I did run the shortcut file before putting the three files on the root of my device.

Copy regeditSTG2.exe to your device and use it to edit registry. Make following changes:
Change the registry value
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Security/Policies/Policies/00001001 to the value 1

Change the registry value
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Security/Policies/Policies/00001005 to the value 40

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\0000 1017 to the value 144

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Security\Policies\Policies
-> Add new value "0000101b": Dword = 1

I have a meteor with a corrupted boot loader. Reading this thread it occurred to me that it may be possible to boot this loader off of an SD card and reload a valid BL into ROM. Yes? .. No?

yes, but there is no similar devices with WM6 now.
HTC VOX (s710) similar with Tornado, so Tornado users can try WM6 ROM now, but Breeze users - not (yet?)
Waiting for HTC Wings, i think....

Hi... Really need help... now my SPL is stuck with the 1.10.0000 and i can flash my phone with original Dopod 595 ROM as the RUU from dopod cannot detect the phone now...

I can't really start he phone as it always stuck at the windows mobile splash screen... and i can only go into the bootloader...

also... i have tried putting breeimg.nbh into the microSD but now even with the SPl 1.10, i am still getting invalid vender id...

can some one help me? or i have to bring it back to dopod service center? or buy a new phone instead?

Hi...

The problem was solved by Dopod service center... the main board was changed and luckily it was treated under warranty... phew...

no more sweat... loving the phone every minutes...

i done that and when i wanna run sspl, the phone turns off an remain like that. to power it up again i have to remove for a sec the battery. what`s wrong !!!

Ah.. for those of you VERY brave. a new spl version, needs testing
1. Disabled SPL reflashing for safety purposes
2. Commands to recheck bad blocks
3. Any CID and Unsigned roms are accepted.

please test it and report. if you brick the device,report but never blame me for that)))

it allows to recheck the bad blocks and repair those wrongly marked as bad (if you for example flash an incorrect os without blocks signatures).. and it should allow downgrading radios. actually i want you just to try to load it to ram and test, and then i`ll make the version to install onto flash so that your spl cant be reflashed or corrupted by frimware reflash

I'll test it no problems BUT I'm not following what you want. The file attached is an nb file and the only thing I know to do with this is to created a BREE100 unsigned NBH and flash to the 'phone.

How can I test it in RAM ?

Oh - How embarrassing! :o I'd not noticed that the loader was an NB file :o

I'm currently out of the country without a Breeze with me so it'll have to wait until Thursday now - unless someoneelse goes first. Sorry.

I install WM6 bios my SPJAS,
but i cannot install office and i dont like wm6.
i wanted get back wm5
but orginal update utility cannot resolve phone validation and i cannot update phone back.

and i copy breeimg_hash.nbh microsd then rename breeimg.nbh start this utility,
my phone updating now...
but its going very long time.. i think does very wrong work!!

is my phone dead!???

OK. i m freshed...update back with hashed img. i'm back to wm5.
this utility can use with orginal hashed or non original imgs..
