Hello,

I am just wondering, does TomTom Nav. 6 work on Blue Angel?

Currently running Windows Mobile 2003 SE.

I really hope so, I just bought a bluetooth GPS reciever from Ebay...

Best regards,
J.

I have downloaded a version of TomTom to try it on my BlueAngel. It work beautifully. I cannot remember if it was TomTom 5 or 6, but I was totally impressed with the ease of use. I knew without a doubt that I could use it in my car using my Belkin PDA holder and my fingers (iPhone style), no stylus needed.

Unfortunately, it only had European maps, haha. So needless to say I couldn't really enjoy it and I uninstalled it.

Just curious, what bluetooth GPS make and model did you get?

cheers for the prompt response!
I was just wondering because according to TomTom website, apparently Blue Angel is compatible with TomTom 5, but not TomTom6.

I purchased a model called "Qstarz Q818"... I dunno if its any good but according to some reviews on the net, it seemed quite OK. Plus the price wasnt that bad.. =)

Best regards,
J,

It could've been TomTom 5... Sorry for the lack of details.

I love my Mobile Crossing BT GPS receiver. $160 at a local store (which doesn't sell them anymore). I just got a $16 external antenna on eBay which works excellently.

I tether it to my BlueAngel and use either Pocket Streets and Trips (which sucks) or MSN Live Mobile Search (which sucks too), or I tether it to my Dell Latitude D820 (worth its weight in gold) and use Streets and Trips, or Google Earth.

I am sure you can get hold of (from torrents) US maps (if thats where you live) for TomTom.

I've just downloaded TomTom6 and it seems to work.. I'll keep you posted on how it works after I install some maps and GPS device.

I have bought TomTom5 and installed the software from CD, it works, but the map is kind of old. I downloaded TomTom6 w/ new map. I need help to install the software. Thanks
