why can't you read the post before you flash the device, it won't work, and you risk yourself of brinking your device. Solutions is on the forum, use the search....

now I get CID back, but how to change the CID to Super CID? If not, the rom doesn't be upgraded.

I tried to update my dutch T-Mobile Ameo with the rom RUU_Athena_HTC_WWE_1.25.405.2_1.38.00 and got at first the connection problem on the device, and after I removed the SD Card the same error 294: Invalid Vendor ID.

this problem is HTC 7500's CID not super CID, so if want to upgrade, we must have the tools to unblock the CID.

and if you have read though the forum, then you know there is no tools to make your device super CID, there is no tool to unblock it. you must return to original ROM.

wu5262 is correct. There is currently no way of making the Athena superCID. No one, to our knowledge, has posted the utility yet. Careful guys with trying to upgrade. You might brick your phone and have an expensive paper weight if you're not careful. Not all files/posts are from reliable sources, etc. Not saying the poster is not reliable but sometimes there is not enough information for everyone's use.

Yeah..totally agreed..i have tried with various roms and unlocking software availabe but none is usefull..
so for conclusion..at this time do not risk yourself to flash with other rom as it will brick your phone...
cheers...

Have you tried olipro cid unlock? Since I unlocked my Athena with this software I haven´t had any trouble when instaling roms that showed "unvalid vendor id" before each time tried of upgading wm6 from developer's to the wm6 recently offered from HTC Asia.
