Which ROM to chose?

Hi i'm just got my Dopod 818pro as a gift from my friend.

My device:

IPL: 2.15.001
ROM version: 2.15.1327 WWE
ROM Date: 03/09/06
Radio Version: 02.19.21
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.09
Ext Rom Version: 2.15.13.121

My question:

1. Can I use the Prophet_G3_G4_RadioRom_v2.69.21.exe radio rom? I've
read from the forum that radio rom can use in any rom is it?

2. By the way wat is radio rom for? wat did it update exactly?

3. As I have the G4 model ( so unlucky I'm ), what is the avialable rom for
me to update?

4. Heard that WM6 is available at this moment, can i update it as well?

5. What is Ext Rom for? is it a separate rom? any update for the Ext Rom?

You can use the Radio-ROM in every ROM you are using because it's a separate ROM!

The Radio-ROM manages all wireless types of your PPC phone like WIFI, Bluetooth and GSM/GPRS! Without any Radio-ROM, your PPC phone can't be used for making calls or use the WIFI function!

The most latest ROM-Updates are for both G3 and G4! When you can't flash a ROM on your G4 you will see a message with an error! ;)

Yes you can! I use at the moment smart1 WM6 v2 but I will try PDAMobiz 2.0 RC!



5. What is Ext Rom for? is it a separate rom? any update for the Ext Rom?

In the Extended ROM the network providers storing some CAB files which are set some provider settings to your phone like GPRS settings or a special Today theme! If you don't want this, make a softreset when the message is poping up "Blabla .. 3 seconds ... blabla"!

001 is G4 not G3 .

IPL/SPL: ending in .000 = G3 model
IPL/SPL: ending in .0001 = G4 model
I think its not so hard to read the explanation above. Soft reset your device and see the information appear.
