Hey guys,
My girlfriend bought a s710, and is on the UK Three network.
The phone is meant to be SIM free, and works fine with my Orange SIM card in, but not her Three SIM card. It says the card in not valid.
Any ideas? Is the s710 not capable of using the SIM card?

if the unit is branded htc then its sim free 100 %
if its branded orange spv e650 then its locked to orange uk
and then ur job will to ask orange uk for unlock code or to unlock it via http://www.imei-check.co.uk/e650unlock.php
gd luck

Cheers Motin.
It's branded HTC, bought from www.handtec.co.uk as a SIM free, but still refuses to accept her SIM card at all.

u should make sure all sim cards are clean from scratch
if they are u r off to send it back to htc for replace there should not be any problem with the unit and it should except any sim card
thanks

I don't know but I thought three was only a 3G operator? And the S710 is not a 3G phone. could that not be the problem?

Yes but if it is as I think that tree only has a 3G network the phone won't work there since it is not supporting 3G?

now i fully understand you
my dear the 3 network is only 3g so any sim from 3 network will work only on a 3g phone !!!
thanks
