Does the 4GB MiniSD card work in WM6

Its normal you can't read SDHC card on your computer you need a specific ReadWriter For SDHC.

Exactly. Also if you want to buy one at a retail shop, Sandisk makes card readers that will read the SDHC cards.

My Transcend 4gb SDHC works well for a couple of weeks and mUn wm6 rom, but yesterday got damage, i really don't now why and now it is unreadable, also with a pc reader.

I want to try the panasonic formatter now, but what a mess.

That card was unreadeble with WM5.

I want also to try LSVW rom just to now where is the problem.

The problem could very well be ROM related. I had the same problem on the Prophet when I installed WM6. Files were getting corrupted every once in a while. Switching back to WM5 resolved the corruption problem.

And that was an SD Card I was using then, certainly not SDHC as ther're not supported by the Prophet.

I just got my Trinity last week and am waiting for my miniSD to arrive. I hope I won't have the same problem with LVSW's WM6 ROM.

It is, I used mUn's rom. It's not readable with an pc SDHCcardreader now, just sent it back to the store under warranty.

A little feedback:

I have been using mUn SE rom since day he released it, and never had any problem with my 4go normal miniSD...
Today, I wanted to give a try to LVSW 2.0.0.5 rom... and when I got back home, my whole card was corrupted... something that never happenned before (even if I experienced some file corruption from time to time). This time, I had 3.5go of corrupted files, which needed a full format :(

So after all I switched back to mUn rom, even if it has poor battery life...

Just had a Topram 4gb go corrupted, after about 2 weeks. Used it with mUn's ROM first, and since 2.0.0.5 with LVSW's ROM. It was working great.

Anyway been successful repairing these? Or do I have to reformat and lose it all?

P.S. With WP5, I totally lost a 4GB Transcend, which is still unreadable (and not even seen by any utility.)

Guys, I'm still not convinced that any real manufacturer has ever produced a 4gb standard mini sd card. You can read more about this debate in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=302639

The more I read about people having problems with these 4gb cards, the more I think the cards are all just time bombs waiting to go off. I have switched back to a 2gb card for now...and have had zero problems.

heres my two cents: was using a standart 4GB card with Prophet and with Trinity, files kept getting lost on both phones (both WM5) and now a 128MB memory card lost half of its contents after a softreset in Trinity.

IMHO its the ROM (software) rather than the card or phone thats to blame..

I believe that the "soft reset" is the problem with a 4GB card. I always remove the card, after the phone has shut down. If I remove the MiniSD card before the soft reset, I have no problems. It might be a hardware issue..

For the million (th) time...yes, TopRam 4gb is working in my Trinity for 5 months now, no issues. Please search the Trinity forums under "4gb" there must be a hundred posts about storage cards.

Unfortunally my camera doesn't support SDHC. I bought Sandisk miniSD 2G for a while - any way i want spare card with all problems that i had and heard from others. So seems my Transcend miniSDHC is totally dead and I can't find way to repair it except return to retailer and get new one and it's almost imposible - retailer is in another country :( I tried everything - new card reader with SDHC support stucks window explorer, format software also stucks, camera with SDHC writes "card error", Trinity doesn't see it at all. It's hard to believe that problem is hardware but seems I really have bad luck....

It's new Scythe Kama Reader and camera Canon A640. Both supports SDHC.

Ive been using a generic 4gb card and a sandisk 4gb SDHC card for a couple of months now.

no problem on either except for the usual 'cant see folders' problem and the windows media player not being able to see the storage card library.

After unsalvagebale problems with an unbranded 4Gb card after several months of carefree use. I switched back to a Sandisk 2 Gb Ultra which seemed pretty safe from other peoples comments .... this is even worse :(

I had to re-insert the memory card eveytime I want to use TT so that the maps are picked up then after having the card for 1 week everything on the card became invisible. Now after re-formatting I am back to the re-inserting trick.

I also have a 4GB unbranded Mini SD without any problem on WM5 and official WM6 Rom EXCEPT I use the camera and store the videos on the SD card. After a while the storage card/My documents folder is empty (not readable). So the workaround is to store them in the main memory and then move them the SD card. Other than that, there is no issue.

Just responded to someone in a PM, but this may be interesting to someone else.

After a fairly long while working fine, my 3rd 4gb card suddenly started disappearing (PDAVIET, but it may be irrelevant, since I've lost cards with others too.)

The bottom line is, it seems like 4gb cards may work fine for a while, sometimes very long while, then at least some may quickly go bad. I've never lost a 2gb card.

I was unable to format the 4gb card either, or in Vista or XP. Mac OS X was able to format it (FAT32) but the card still refused to work in Windows (could not write to it.)

SUCCESSFUL REPAIR!

Finally, I got Anton Tomov Pocket Mechanic Pro (had heard great things about it and had been meaning to get it anyway,) and it worked! (I am not affiliated with them, just very pleased.)

I was able to format the card with the utility and repair it. Now it works fine, with Bepe's latest ROM, but who knows if the issue is fixed. I fully expect it to start disappearing again, in a month, or two, or five. When I travel, I always carry a back up on a 2gb card....
