Wondering if any third party manufacturer out there is thinking of coming up with a better keyboard for the advantage. Something that is attached to a zippered leather case that can fit the Advantage inside and the keyboard opens up just like the foldable keyboards out there. What do all you think?

Yes i think HTC or an off brand company will come out with one soon.Seeing how the device is still fresh on the market and HTC takes into consideration that they have produced a great/superb device.I can bet all my pennies that within the next couple of months that there will be some nifty keyboards(even some with lighting on the keyboards)emerging.Only a matter of time!

actually, my internal contact in HTC told me there won't be any second keyboard other then the original one. They are not in the process or making one and there is no sign on making one in the future too. We can only hope third party keyboard will comes up soon

There will be several off brand keyboards made for this device.I as well have some friends that work for HTC that says it might be a posibility but not in the near future. As far as off brand comapanies(3rd party)There will be several offering/selling all sorts of accessories for this device.Example:JASJAR-when it first arose, there was only the standard bulky casing.A few months later new cases & bigger more powerful batteries for the device, then docking stations......get my drift. There will be a company that will be emerging with a keyboard for this device...Mark my word for saying so.Give it 3-4 months max

I also heard that there will be many companies creating accessories for Athena....including better Keyboard, Cases and Car mounting kits etc.....

We just need to wait....

I asked HTC for some help in creating a keyboard, eg, pinout and protocol.

I never even received a reply to my post.

If somebody with contacts in HTC could help me get this info I would love to try.
My original plan was to turn a normal PC keyboard into a keyboard dock where the Athena stuck onto the full PC keyboard using its normal bottom connector not a 4in1 cable etc.

Hopefully there will be options available in the near future. I might consider the Athena if a replacement keyboard with seperate numeric keys comes out.

At the minute Universal is still a better device. Pity the Athena couldn't use a layout similar to the Universal.

Anyway is that possible to lock the keyboard to type numbers. Bit diffucult if we must push that blue dot every time we want to type numbers.
