had an ameo for a week and love it.
but ...
when i click the web & walk button on the left og the screen to open oprea it does not go to my hoe page 'google' instead it goes to the silly tmobile home page.
also on the keybore. a button of a sun, what does this do?? i can not assign it to anything. any ideas.

You can change the homepage with a Registry key.
Search th registry for PIE and t-mobile, I cant remember the exact key.

HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/PIEplug
change the string value Home to the page you want.

the button with the picture of a sun is for turning the backlight back on. kind of useful I guess!

Hmmm - mine has never worked. Something I need to look into I guess.

I first thought this when I had this button first on my Universal. Wait for the backlight to go dim, then press the backlight button and the screen will light up. I suppose it's to stop you pressing a button that might perform another function as well as reilluminate the screen.

So it does - I was hoping maybe it would turn it off as well.

I have written a short tutorial about how to change the default Opera home page (i.e. first page that opens when you start the Ameo browser).
