activesync doesn't work.. even after hard reset.. i have italian rom and i want an english one. how can i update rom without activesync.. pls help

Plug in USB cable. Hold voice recorder button and press reset button. Bootloader will appear (Three color stripes). Then you may flash up ROM. This may be a stupid question, but do you have ActiveSync installed on your pc?
If not than that's the reason it won't work.

If you have ActiveSync installed you should check this:
ActiveSync Check in Settings - Connections - USB to PC that the USB advanced network functionality is not ticked.

i have activesync installed.. tried that too..... but when i plug the usb cable.. shouldn't i hear the specific sound on the pc when a device is detected? (the sound is not disabled.. i hear it when i plug the bt adaptor.. )

This often happens - try reinstalling activesync and rebooting pc. Or you can do it via bootloader mode - you don't need activesync for this way. If you are going to flash a different language rom your device must be cid unlocked or you will brick it.

Use imei check.co.uk - costs around 20 pounds - don't even consider flashing with a diff country rom before doing this. There maybe a problem with your pc - try a different one if you can. Also update to v 4.5 of activesync if you have not done already.

You need to sort out why your device is not activesyncing with the pc's - do they both have firewalls? If so try disabling them and for good measure turn off antiviral scanner and try again.

what port is the ppc using for usb connection?

Sorry no such thing - i would still try another cable - Which pc's did you try - i.e. do they have the same configuration of diff?

Did you try bootloader mode? - when you attach to pc - a little usb should show in bottom left corner to show you are connected (activesync not needed)

I thought there is a language interface pack.. like the one for win xp..

I don't manage to connect it via bluetooth either.. can somebody help me with all the settings that I should do for the bluetooth connection.. i don't understand good enough italian.. 10x

Hi All, I'm struggling with this update on a p3300:

I've downloaded HTC_1.12.405.01_026790_WWE_SHIP, connected the phone to my PC (Vista which has Mobile Devce Centre & I can see that it is connected), I then run the updater which switches the phone to 3 colour bootloader. But when it boots into the bootloader I get error 260. I can still see that there is a connection as the Safely Remove Hardware icon is still on the task bar. I have soft rebooted the phone and rebooted the PC but it makes no difference (hard reset of the phone doesn't seem to happen when I press & hold the soft keys and press the reset button - I don't know why). I'm sure I must be missing something obvious but have no idea what (wood for the trees?!)

The only thing that is slightly unusual is that when I boot the phone I get the message "IU Build Test Only".

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

j'avais un htc p3300 movistar, avec SPL 1.13;
j'essayé de laflasher avec une rom fransaisé et ça marchait 2 jours aprés plus rien
il est complétement planté; quand je le démarre soit il se met en bootlaoder soit un écran vert marqué IPL 3.13.0001 SPL 3.13.0000 et rien d'autre.

j'ai essayé plusieur ROM mais rien ne passe, ça bloque à 3% avec erreur 226 ou 260

si qlq un a déja eu le mm probleme merci de me dire la démarche; je suis débutant c'est mon 1er HTC

I have the same problem but i know that the USb connection in the phone is defect.

Try this at your own risk. I did the same.

TO FLASH A ROM BY MICRO SD AND HOW TO MAKE A GOLDCARD

How to get the nbh file.
- Just get the original rom.exe like HTC P3300_3.13.404.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R.exe
- rename exe to zip
- extract the RUU_signed.nbh file


1) format the micro sd card to fat32
2) put your .NBH on the storage card
3) rename the .NBH to ARTEIMG.NBH
4) put device into BOOTLOADER
5) when the device asks, press the green call button to flash.


GOLD CARD is just the correct original rom on your micro sd and flashed via bootloader.
