How to unlock CID?

Hi all. Tried and tried in vain, to replace the T-mobile splash screen, only to find out that the phone is CID locked.

Managed to upgrade to WM6 though, thanks to vlodeck and nocturne.op.15

Here's the phone details:

IPL: 2.06
SPL: 2.06.0000
GSM: 02.19.21
OS: 10.2.0.8 (WM6 by vlodeck & nocturne)

Oh, and also worth mentioning, my PC is running on Vista Ultimate, on which RUU's don't work. But some people said that if I install VMWare Virtual PC and install XP on that, RUU works through it.

So, how to unlock CID of this phone?

to cid unlock to need a ver. 1.xx of ipl/spl. And seeing you have 2.xx you cant really downgrade to ver.1.x

but can you told me whats rom have ispl ipl 1.x??

ok so saying you have ipl 1. what ever how do you cid unlock?

will have ipl and spl ver 1. wherever you can get to install or not, might work with a noID ruu. then you can use lokiwiz2 to unlock the CID

There are rom versions that have 1.xx IPL and SPL but from my own experience I know, that once you upgraded to 2.xx or more, you cant get back to 1.xx. The most you can get is 1.xx IPL and 2.xx SPL.

Maybe offtopic, but I have another question: If I have ROM from ERA GSM POLAND can I flash AKU3.3 TMobileUK ROM?

adexxx, you misunderstood me. You can't get 1.xx IPL and 1.xx SPL once you've already upgraded to 2.xx.

If it's an official ROM then you can flash it no problem. If its a custom ROM, use the tool I described in WM6 charmer thread.

When I tried to update with RUU: RUU_Charmer_38221_382127_026921_TMO_HR_WWE_Ship it showed error: INVALID VENDOR

What I'm doing wrong?

use wizard noID upgrade utility. it's some around here, maybe even in charmer forum.

OK, I flashed and it works fine.

Now I have 3.0 IPL&SPL, my 1st splash was changed.
