I just wanted to say thanks for all the terrific work this website and the contributors have done. I was given an 8125 the other day and within a half hour I had it unlocked, within a couple of hours I was installing different ROMs and testing them out. Great tutorials, instructions and software.
The Faria Crossbow ROM is pretty awesome, but, is a little buggy with the wifi for me. Intermittent connections only. Today I had to do a meeting so I pulled the phone off USB in the middle of a windows media sync and the phone went out for a couple of hours after that. I tried everything to bring it back, several resets, syncing, etc. I am not sure which thing I tried worked, but, I got my phone back.
I was also able to reproduce the error doing the same thing over again. I thought that was interesting.
I really liked the Faria Crossbow with WM6, but, I wiped the system going back to the original Cingular ROM from HTC. I might go back to the T-Mobile MDA ROM. I liked that ROM better and I use T-Mobile.
I am thinking that the problems people are having with the radio driver might be related to active sync and the phone. Microsoft seems to have issues with the USB drivers, that I have noted from other web sites, on syncing issues with other devices, iPods, etc.
I am going to try reproducing the same conditions in WM5 and see if I lose the phone. If I don't, at least people know I reproduced losing the phone radio by interrupting an active sync with Windows Media player.
