I just installed this ROM (only worked at the 2nd time) and these are my first impressions about it:

- The splash screen is blue and the logo looks blurry. Looks like it was edited.
- Extended ROM customization started automatically.
- COMM Manager looks like the old WM5 one (is it?)
- WiFi seems to work flawlessly
- Charges from USB (over 260mA)

I'll explore it some more and let you know :)

EDIT: I am upgrading to WM6 from this WM5 ROM:

JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship (after the upgrade i update the radio to 2.69.21).

YEAH! everything going okay. It has a build already used before by other roms i had. So the feeling is quite good in general. Now i am waiting as tiggerbcn does to see this whole night consumption. With trueneytral 1.2clean 8 hours was -3%. We'll see with this Vietnamese what happens.
I am pretty happy that we still continue checking with all these developments. Anyway this roms have a similar behavior as they are build 17217. I am waiting for TRUENEYTRAL's 1.3 fixed which is build 17913. So we may test something really new

Same in some features but in fact they were built by another, you can try one by one :)

In my opinion, I prefer Prophet_PV_V.1.0 although there some shortcomings, e.g: WM6 welcome screen, interface of Comm Manager,....

im a newbie here.. i want to upgrade to wm6.. my wm5 doesn't respond correctly on hard reset which says it will return the PDA to its original state... i cant install any ppc applications now.. i cant remove installed applications too.. its just working now as cellphone..

can anyone suggest me the best thing to do? it has warranty but will take 2 weeks for the repair time which i cant afford too..

Same problem was for me. But you can solve it into the sim manager by selecting all contacts and using save to contacts in the menu.

PDAVIET v1.0 is newer than Cloudyfa v2 with fixed some bugs, and added some applications:
No echo of microphone
Sensitive WiFi
Fast with 31MB free program memory
Slow battery-drain
Extension ROM is used as WM5 :D
SIM Manager 6.10 is used
Added Battery Status 1.04
Added PHM Registry 0.70
Added HTC X-Button 1.5

But it has some bad configues: default backlight is 100%, WM6 welcome screen is unsightly, interface of Comm Mgr seems WM5 :(

Can people read the thread carefully before they ask question?

Almost in all the threads about WM6 post files, people keep asking for password and pissing at it. Why can people read, READ, READ with eyes and mind instead of waste spaces in the forum and other people's time. There are tons of info in this forum and it will take time to read it all. Remember: READ, READ, READ .....

This question is a little tricky, again if people READ this forum carefully somewhere other people has mentioned in all WM6 there is a bug in password. Before you soft reset your machine, remove the password first. Don't install something it will automatically soft reset the machine. After machine reset, it tends to forget the password and you cannot get back to your machine. Period. So the safest thing to do is after the machine is reasonably setup, do a full backup.
If the machine inadvertently reset and forget the simple password, you have to do a hard reset (again READ, somewhere in the forum will tell you how to do that on a Prophet or 818pro), then do a full restore. Or you can do what I did when the machine insulted me for not able to remember my simple 4 digit password three times and lock me out, I threw it out of a window (just kidding, I jump out the window instead).

I had try this one and the Smart ROM, the fantastic ROM. for me seem like this ROM much more stable n fast.....

My experience with the various roms
1) Smart rom v3 - fastest rom among the 3, but not really stable. Setting Sound may hang the device, don't like the commanager screen. System click not working and need to apply patch.

2) Fantastic - the most stable rom with the most complete WM6 applications. Slowest rom among the 3 (even overclocking to 260mhz seems slower than Smart's default speed).

3) PDAViet v1.0 - the most clean WM6 rom I've tried till date, but speed is only slightly faster than Fantastic. Plenty of space for your own customization. Commanager the same as WM5.

The current rom that I'm using now is Prophet_4.0.0.0.1PV. Speed is much faster (as fast as smart v3), rom is clean. I have not noticed any application problem, except battery drain slightly fast. I have since run XDADev-BatFix and will monitor till tomorrow.

After testing Prophet 4.0.0.0.1PV, I recognised that if I bypass STEP1, all files in ExtROM can't be executable automatically. Thus, you are recommended to flash this ROM, it must use STEP1.

@Cloudyfa: IE can't run through activeSyns yet! :(

ROM STEP1 contents only WM5 OS (AKU2.2) and blank ExtROM (10MB free). Don't worry about your IPL/SPL, GSM and Splash Screen, STEP1 doesn't change them :D

Actually I'm using smart1 WM6 ROM but there are two minor issues that make me to have a change
1) Can't receive the 2nd phone call whilst you are using the phone and there is no trace for it afterwards.
2) The A2DP seems not stable, it won't work after you received a phone call althought it shows that you have connected.

Please advice has this rom fixed/does not have these problems.

The reg above just add 1 more button in CommManager (VoIP button) but this button hasn't function well (that's the reason i make Commanager 9 buttons).
You can setup VoIP via SipConfig.exe in Windows directory (not creat a shorcut for it yet :D)

Please don't use PDAMobiz Step1.
As Cloudyfa says, in that Step1 some software is prepared for Step2. If you use PDAMobiz Step1 and Cloudyfa PDAViet Rom, it can have problems.

Its better if you use aku2.2 NVID Rom.

I first have put it step1 of pdamobiz 1.0 and it seems that everything is fine, the only thing that is not fine very much the icon of the wifi is in the tray, the first time I have to initiate the wifi from commManager because if I do it in the icon of the tray the wifi does not work, it does not get connected

Step 1 of pdamobiz is an AKU2.15 ROM. where as step1 for PDAVIET is a AKU2.2 ROM.

the NVID rom is a AKU2.2 rom + 2.47 radio rom. And this rom is actually the step1 for Smart1's WM6 rom.

So essentially, you can interchange the NVID rom and the pdaviet step 1 rom without any issues. However, interchanging with mobizpda's step 1 is probably not recommended.

Thanks for your supports with download links (I'm the unlucky one that asked for your help in PDAViet)
Uploaded the PDAViet V4. ROM and have been testing for 2 days now. Everything works like charm. Wifi, internet via Activesync, battery...are OK.
Even more surprise, Photo contacts Pro 5.00 works better than it did with WM5 (fully supports SMS tones and no more unexpected closing)
In all, I'd recommend PDAViet V4.0.0.0.1 as the best WM6 choice for Prophet until now. Thanks Cloudyfa for your great work!

FYI, I'm using an O2 Neo G4, Uploaded ROM with the temp step 1 followed by the V4.0.0.0.1

My experience with the various roms

The current rom that I'm using now is Prophet_4.0.0.0.1PV. Speed is much faster (as fast as smart v3), rom is clean. I have not noticed any application problem, except battery drain slightly fast. I have since run XDADev-BatFix and will monitor till tomorrow.

Sometimes there are lags when waking up device with hardware button. Also gets frozen very often, as it happened to me with every 8mb-pool-paging rom i have flashed. With version 1 i had no problem. So i maybe turn back to that point. Happened to someone else? The good point of this rom is the free ram, but maybe if it were 12mb pool-paging it would be much more stable. Hey dude i am sad for the backlight because this rom was really the one for my prophet!

As far as i know other guys flashed it (v1.1) and have no complaints. They find no difference between 1.1 and os 4.0.0.0. THey say it has less batt drainage! I am gonna flash it right now. TAKE CARE!

great rom, installed it about 4 days ago and have had absolutely no problems, charging from the car charger works fine for me.

today i tried to go on the internet with it Via WiFi and although WiFi connects fine internet explorer opens and then immediately shuts?
i did hard reset after install and this is really the only problem i've had so far
any ideas?

Thanks to tiggerbcn my prophet has now a new performance. This increase in pool paging (+4mb) has boosted greatly my device and stability is greater.
Starting and executing is very fast indeed and it has a cost of 4mb of ram, which is ok to run every program i use, included hungry NAVIGON 6.

....X-Button is the problem...!!!there's a bug...and your today screen won't update... Try X-Button v1 or tha latest X-Button(vp3g version) but with all the options checked(on)....

I too just recently upgraded from 02 to 04, and I must say this ROM is better! For me, the batt drain is much less. With 02, I'll be down to 30%+ every night. With 04, I have about 40%+ on average.

For me, HTC Home is not very user configurable. Can't even move its position at the Today screen.

I can't BELIEVE that stupid "HTC Task Manager" was what was preventing my Today Screen from updating when I made changes. Holy Cow, man.

Disabling the "X" button was sufficient to resolve...but how to uninstall, please? TaskSwitcher, man.
