ActiveSync icon in the tray

Hi,

I believe this happens only on WM6, as I haven't got similar problems on WM5 (many ROMs).

The problem is, that even though I removed the Init_Tray link and don't have the tray icons usually - whenever I connect my Wizard to the PC, the tray appears again with AS icon only!

I haven't managed any option / tweak to remove this icon from the tray and as I keep my Wizard connected to my laptop for a long time - this little thing is simply incredibly annoying!

Anyone knows how to get rid of this? Any help would be appreciated....

Goto "Settings>Connections>USB to PC" and make sure that "Enable advanced network functionality" is checked.

Are U sure of that? I had this one checked but I had some problems with connecting to my work laptop... I found on the XDA tip saying that I should turn this off... :D

Well, we'll see... I've been connected so I'll enable this option and see what happens.

which version of active sync do you have?

I have no choice - AS 4.5. I believe no other version works with WM6.

Yeah: I've checked it - AS won't connect with this option enabled :(
