Hi,
I am new to this updating pocket pc lark and think i may have ruined my xda orbit. I have been following instructions from within the site and found a few downloads for updated roms and downloaded the "PDAMobiz_Dopod_P800W_AKU301_v1.1.2_PowerMap.exe" and ran it to update my xda orbit. now when the device reboots it stays on the first screen which states:
IPL 1.25.0001
SPL 1.25.0000
GSM 02.67.90
OS 1.28.0.0
Does anyone know how i can fix this?? and please can i have step by step detailed instructions???
god i feel like such an idiot!!

Its not broken - it requires either unlocking and reloading by IMEI-CHECK for 47 quid or wait for the promised O2 WM6 update ROM that hopefully can be used to reflash the OS on to your XDA, the same tools that you used to get yourself in this mess may also get you out of it - i've done exactly the same thing myself.
Or try it on with O2 and see if they will replace it, just say it locked up and when you rebooted it appears that the OS is corrupt/missing.
Cheers,
Steve.

Ignore the 'clever', retrospective criticism, from people who will claim that they've never done something similar...
The word is that O2 are due to release an upgrade rom soon, it may be the solution or may just be an upgrade that requires the phone to have a good OS on it already in which case you may need to contact IMEI-CHECK who can do it for under 50 quid.
It's a pity really - if the smart arses here could provide answers as quickly as they can criticism who knows there may be a solution available all ready, after all isn't that what this forum is for?
Just an idea, seeing as though the 'CID unlocking Warning' sticky appeared after dozens of people had made the same mistake, maybe next time the mods could put it up at the time and not after the event? possibly not the case here but it would have saved a shed load of your other members a major headache.
Cheers,
Ste.
