no - it's the same camera that was released with the rom. it's definetly different than the prior version - and I believe it's 3.3.
Would it be possible for you to add this version to your OEM package?

are you saying you want the one from my previous kitchen - 3.00?
If this is what you're wanting, I can add both and it'll let you choose which during the build.

Please double check the camera. I do not see it anywhere and the hard button does not execute it either. I just get the "standard" camera.

so the hard button opens a camera - is it the one with borders, or full screen?

I am also trying to cook this rom but I am getting the "signed with a trusted certificate" error when I click on the camera.exe in windows. How can I get around this. I am also getting this when trying to incorporate Office2K7.

How did you fix the Office Folder issue?
I brought over the Office files from the original 1413 /SYS folder, which includes the office folder. It gave me the folder under start and programs, but the links are messed up. Still working on it...
Edit: Giving the signed certificate issue - ugh...
As for the "border" camera camera.lnk not working - I flashed the "non-border" one, so I can't check it just now. The camera link works fine. I'll put the "border" version on next when I try the office fix...
I just can't get over not getting as much stuff in. I gotta get that resolved...

When I run build buildOS.exe I am getting the following error message
target file "temp\dump\bthamb.dll" is a dir not a file.
It says it was last processing Sys\redist
I found the file in the SYS\REDIST file and when I went to that dir in the dump there were 2 files but not the .dll so I copied it and tried again, thinking this was similar to the core kitchen where you have to replace missing files, but when I ran it again I got the same message. Any ideas?
I google searched the board for the DLL and according to another posting it has something to do with A2DP but that is all I could find.

search the kitchen and find the two packages that have the same file. If you need both, you'll need to remove one or the other. Just remember which one, cause next time you build and only include the app with the deleted file - it won't work.
An optioin is to move it to the OEMDRIVERS folder under /SYS, that way it gets installed, and the two apps won't contain their own.

Yeah its missing the initflashfiles.txt:
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-File("Camera.lnk","\Windows\HTC_Camera.lnk")
Directory("\Windows\Help"):-File("Camera.lnk","\Windows\Help_Camera_new.lnk")
Directory("\Windows\AppButtons"):-File("Camera.lnk","\Windows\HTC_Camera.lnk")
Click on the exe and tell me if it launches.

Hey Matt,
You really need some mirrors or put this someplace other than rapidshare. I pull one file down then have to wait 2 hours before I can pull the next. So to use your kitchen it will take me all day to get each of the downloads :( Then with you making changes, it all starts over again ;).
BTW:In the .318 stuff, the SYS folder has and options.xml that indicates Office 2007, but when I look at the Office folder it looks more like Office 2003 (no onenote and missing a number of graphics and stuff that come with 2007). Is that right?

Yeah, there was one in OEMDRIVERS already but there was another file floating so I deleted it.
I then got an error that said "error building default.hv and user.hv" but when I tried again with no boxes check it completed. so I am now trying different combos to figure out where the problem is. Makes sense right?

OK, the one that comes with the ROM is the one that launches in portrait mode. It has hardly any options.
I want to use the faria 3.0, that;s the full screen one with options to store on SD and disable shutter sound etc. This is the one I can get installed but not launch due to certificate issue.

Been a while since i've seen that error. usually it comes from the .rgu files having duplicate info. Once you find the offending apps, check that file.

Well it happens if I check any of the app that funman was kind enough to package for me. Would there be any difference in packaging for Faria's kitchen versus yours?
I noticed that they all went into settings, and I was thinking I might need to modify the options.xml file to get them in the right place, but didn;t know if that could be the problem.
Also, when I run nb2nbf_wizard.exe I can't find the flash.nb0 file anywhere, but all the other steps seem to have completed without error.

the location sorting in buildos is defined in the options.xml files within each package. All of "my" packages have an individual options file, where I think his doesn't?
Another problem I've seen is if the options.xml file is "damaged" - check the file size vs. others. Also, there must be a .dru file with the correct guid name in the folder that matches what's in the options.xml file.

First run buildos, then you need to run createrom.bat
then when you check the OS line in nb2nbfwizard, you need to point to the 80040000-OS.nb file from the temp directory.

If you want the full screen camera - you need to select Camera 3.0.
You don't have to remove the folders from OEM - since they are only installed if you check the box in buildos because each has a options.xml file in it.
Edit: unless you're using different packages :)
If this is what it originally came with, just changing the camera folder should work fine.
and you don't need OEMOPERATORS, it's a post install script, unless you want it in there...

under oemdriver (if I remember correctly) are duplicate files. I think there's a couple duplicates. Search your kitchen directory and you'll need to delete the extras. Be careful doing so, as at some time you may want to install the package that the duplicate file was in.
If you can hold on, I'm uploading a new OS with the office fix, and with the OEM pack rev 7, you'll get to choose between both camera versions, and not have this error.

please don't take this the wrong way - but unless you're really familiar with the file structure and moving things around, I'd really suggest sticking with one kitchen or another.
I'm not saying to use this one, just be careful mixing stuff up. I set packages up to work with this kitchen, so another's may not be a direct add-in. I'm happy to help explain what is needed to make it work!

No offense taken. I'm learning just like everyone else. I have used several kitchen with success. It's the OEM mess that drives me crazy. Dupe files here and there. I see so many duplicate initflashfiles.txt entries and file duplications. I can see how someone can get crazy. (Like you staying up till 2:00AM) ;-)

OK So if you do the following the camera will not work:
In your OEM folder ONLY add the Camera package.
When in BuildOS select what ever parts of the ROM you like and Camera.
After flashing you will receive a signed cert message when you click onn camera. This has lead me to the conclution that the Camera package is dependent on some other package or .rgu that has some kind of security settings.
To verify this I used mfrazz 318 build and left his OEM packages intact and selected camera. After flashing the camera worked!!!
So does anyone know what is the missing link?
P.S. In mfrazz OEM among other there are:
x-faria settings
x-mfrazzz apps
x-mfrazzz settings
Could these have the missing settings?

I would recommend you test this with the entire kitchen / OEM Package / and OS. Don't remove anything, just customze via buildos.
I should be done uploading the OS in about 20 minutes (three different sites, slow...) and I'll update the first posts.
I've flashed both camera's, and don't have any issues. Granted I did add the .rgu to the 3.3 camera to add the camera icon in the programs list, but otherwise, no issues.

P.S. I have found that if a package in OEM does not contain an option.xml it gets loaded anyway, thats why I move stuff out of OEM.

Hey Matt,
I'm having a lot of trouble cooking. I downloaded the OEM you said to use and the new OS build. I also downloaded the kitchen tools. It seems no matter what combo of OS items and OEM items I use, I still get an error when I run createROM like all the options I chose are too big to fit in the ROM. What I'm trying to do is:
Transcriber
Games
Office
Sql
WindowsLive
MMS
VOIP
Voice Command
WMP
and Camera 3.3
That doesn't seem like it should be too big. What kitchen are you using to create in?
Edit: I just tried it in the Core Kitchen and it worked fine.....so I'm not sure why it didn't work for me in the Pandora Kitchen.

Now this allowed me to launch camera.exe however it crashes.
