Looking for user input

Well I just got into cooking and I've gotten different views about a GOOD WM6 Rom, I like my Roms Vanilla I use it for basic things Email, Texting, Surfing, Aim, Music and Word sometimes with things like that I dont need alot of preinstalled applications on my Roms I build...But now I'm looking to cook a rom for all users.
If everyone that would like to see a rom like this build meaning pretty much to your liking make a List and post here in 3 categories: Included, Removed, and Reg Hacks. I'll try to make the best rom out of all the users input that post here.

LOL, reason I made this thread is because people always complain in all rom releases so i'm looking for a complaint free Rom release. A high goal I know but I'd rather try and fail then not try at all.

Is it possible to replace WMP with MUCH better TCPMP media player? I guess it is, it's a matter of making the OEM package for TCPMP and removing all the traces of WMP?

You will never make them all happy. That's a harsh reality unfortunately.

Correct, thats something to look into...

I think that will be pretty hard to remove windows media player...to many references to it..easy wai is to also install TCMP and remove the link to WMplayer. ... or actually replace it with TCMP and rename it hehe

There's enough Vanilla ROMs floating around...working or not.
I would like to see a ROM cooked with commercial programs such as Resco Explorer 07 and SPB Weather just to name a couple. Don't put out a finished product but have a bunch of programs in a Kitchen and let us Cook up the finished product. There are several base roms to choose from...but pick one where everything is working. If there's an issue with something...give out the patch.
I'm no chef but I can cook in a kitchen....for those who can't...again, there's enough WM6 ROMs for anyone to salivate over.

Well, look at the pandora's box. should be enough in there to keep anyone from complaining. minus the commercial software of course. But thats the best part. the kitchen will allow you to create your own packages, no matter what they arte. An im always willing to help. I cant build them for you if they are commercial though. I wont put myself in that position. LOL. I dont want any trouble and the last thing i want is the admins here getting flack for it.

thanks man. Actually it shouldn't be too hard - there aren't many refernces/files WMP related from what i've seen (Molski kitchen) just one folder and a couple of reg lines here and there. BTW, current ROM's are filled with reg junk anyway, just run SKtools and you'll see.

You're already in the fire.....you cook WM6

Granted, commercial software is paid for.....the software I use is paid for. I have licenses for everything I use. A mojority of us use the same software on the same ROMs, why not have it built in?

With the kichen, you are not putting out a finished product and there is no liability. Those with serials can use the kitchen completely.

I understand what you mean by putting the site in jeopardy but roms are no longer stored here but that didn't stop the chefs from getting the ROMs out.

Not trying to start trouble....this thread was started to get ideas and I gave one.

I would like to see Outlook as part of Office 07 and an accessory File in pograms that will allow you to restart,suspend PPC.Of course Live messenger and live search is a must for me... New Java esmerac, and Microsofts voice dial, if it can be cooked into the rom and work. Cingular /AT&T cooked into the rom..
