Hi!

I tried to install this cab on my P3300, but it din not function. Does anyone know what to do, to get the plug in working on the P3300? The P3300 does not have the Media Hub software provided as default from HTC, only the P3350 is shipped with this software, so we P3300 owners also try to get hold of the cab file.

If you don't mind changing your htc rom you can have media hub. You just have to install one of the rom i mentionned before. But it isn't official htc ones. But at least you can have media hub. We have to find someone who will be nicer to extract the media hub from one of those roms.

Question for paalkr: If you have a registry editor could you tell me what is there in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Advanc edCPL ?

I'm going to cry. We will never have media hub working on our trinity cause no one see enough interest. It too bad because our trinity delivers awesome sound with good earphones (for my part i use westone UM2) and it would have been great to enjoy hardware enhancement as audiobooster. With my old qtek s100 i use dsp_en.cab that was a "light version" of audiobooster and i really miss it.......

Really? I also use Westone UM2 with my trinity (and USB => 3.5mm adapter) but it appears that the impedance of my UM2 is WAY too low, resulting in very loud hiss when I'm not playing any sound (or playing soft sound for that matter).

Did you have better luck with your UM2 and trinity?

It is strange. I don't have the loud hiss. I probably use the same converter as yours. I use conduits pocket player and ipaqaudio(5 band hardware equalizer that works on trinity). It works pretty well. It pleasant to have someone who also have the chance and the pleasure to use the UM2.

To be honest as I saw there were WM6 on Hermes and other devices, I was expecting it for our trinity. For the Htc media hub it's diferent. In fact :

First:WM6 was an OS so lots of persons wanted it. Htc media hub is just a software.Plus not a lot of users take care of sound quality so audiobooster appears useless for them
Second:we are not sure there is the same audioship on artemis and trinity so perhaps media hub will never work on trinity

Actually an audiobooster like this can be really awesome.. hardware equalizers and boosting is better than software based ones, for example Mortplayer improves the sound quality with its built-in equalizers really well, and hardware boosting can be even better.

I'm sure that the chiefs in here will find a way to make it work on our trinities :)

hardware equilizer ?! Man, don't think any PPC device have such capable and expensive audio subsystem :-(

This french thread show the component of the trinity :http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:LzBNcEWPoYkJ:www.ppccool.com/index.php%3Fshowtopic%3D5807%26pid%3D45431%26mode% 3Dthreaded%26start%3D+trinity+meme+chip+audio+ipaq&hl=fr&ct=clnk&cd=3&gl=fr

ipaqaudio which is hardware 5 band equalizer for ipaq devices works on trinity because they have the same audio chip (I don't find the link where i had found that but it is true it works and don't work on i-mate jam for example because they don't have the same audio chip).
All that to say that you are mistaking. A pocket pc is very advanced technology. Just take for example the new acer axim devices which are able to run opengl games......Nvidia will soon release the chips for PPC that will permit playing opengl games with even better quality than the Playstation 1. Don't under estimate PPC power.

If you have a trinity load a sound then load ipaqaudio(extract this file and put the .exe for example in the start menu directory) and increase the bass for example. You will se that you have a further better equalizer than whatever software equalizer you had already tested

I do not know how to create a cab that installs - and do not know which registry settings are needed - or if any other files are needed - or even if this will work in the Trinity - but hopefully it is some sort of progress.

If you have a trinity load a sound then load ipaqaudio(extract this file and put the .exe for example in the start menu directory) and increase the bass for example. You will se that you have a further better equalizer than whatever software equalizer you had already tested

Man, thank you for this great find

I can't beleive how good this equalizer actually work, it really seems that it is hardware related because there is no extra CPU usage and sound is crisp and clear even on high bass and treble, I have tried many soft equalizer in various programs but they are useless comparing it with this one.

One more reason for HTC to give us audio booster!

I am happy for you, happy that you are able to see how hardware is far better than software...I had already asked HTC and they sais they wouldn't give the soft. So we have to extract it from a rom. Mun_Rus has tried but didn't manage to do it.As for LVSW i don't think i had a look and don't think he will have(Perhaps don't have interest in working on it). So we have to pray someone will manage to make it work for us

Please Admin close this thread. It has become useless :(
Thanks

Yea - this post is three days old and I nobody has posted a cab to make my Trinity do the housework. This post is therefore a waste of time close it. No in fact close the site.

Hey flashmp3 - I may have to eat my words. Although you were a little fast off the mark - You probably had a point. Would be great to see a HTC Media Hub for the Trinity. Why don't HTC like our device? Nothing I've seen comes close yet. thanks for the contributions everyone.

Thanks a ton friend last few days searching for some eq for my treo 750 and this eq is working great ......not great super...thanks a ton again
