Here O2 Germany released an Update to WM6:

Is it possible to Update the P3300 with that update?

EDIT by moderator Only flash this rom if you have a german 02 orbit or your device is cid unlocked

Never mind CID unlocking - If O2 UK don't treat us as fairly as O2 Germany then they can expect a backlash

Sorry, is it right, I have to pay 28€ than I could unlook my device, will it be unlooked all the time or only for that update? Is it possible to make an update to the htc version when it is released?

Your device will be unlocked all the time - you could then flash with any artemis rom you like.

If you have a german p3300 then you can flash with the german htc p3300 wm6 upgrade when it comes out without cid unlocking.

Can mirror it I will test it and set up a page for it..
... It's flashing right now, if the CopyFileToTFFS doesn't hang like it does sometimes it will be finished in 8 min from now..

Can't wait for the WWE vers, have emailed Dopod Australia to see if they have a release date - they seem to have done some very good work with tweaking the last ROM release, definitely better than the o2 version.

Yours is sim unlocked but not cid unlocked - no device comes out the factory cid unlocked (except stolen devices :D )

well, here is something to think about, the orbit has been out now for nearly 6 months now and ther still hasnt been any update from o2uk wm5 or wm6 since, when for the exec they released a new rom at most a month after its release Now this is kinda saying that they are concentrating on wm6, maybe piggy backing on the release of vista, i dont know. However, also i have noticed that the 2 new xda's from o2uk are wm5 puts me in doubt a little.

Just thought to say wat ive been thinking this past while

Since O2 does not simlock their devices its safe to say that your device is NOT cid unlocked (Very few people would pay 30 euros just to cid unlock their device)

Guys, I have a CID unlocked MDA Compact 3, how do I go about installing Bepes WM6 Rom?

Isnt there just a normal installer?

Thanks in advance and for those with CID locked devices, my advice would be just wait for your carrier to release the WM6 upgrade which should be sometimes towards the end of July. So not that long to go now. If your too impatient then http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ should take care of you but it will cost you £20!

Soft Reset after this and you should get a new tab on the today screen and more settings in the phone settings.

Great, thx for this links .... i have installed this cabs ... i´m having the VoIP-icon on the todayscreen now .... but how can i make a call now? do i need another software or how can i dial the numbers know?

In the phone settings you have to select if you prefer to make voip or gsm calls. It should dial automatically according to the network availble. I don't know if you can select the network for each call you make without going into the settings, would be great though.

Yesterday, I installed WM6 on my Orbit, but I think I will switch back to WM5 tonight, because WM6 is draining battery life!
I lost 10% over night and further 11% within 4 hours today.
The device wasnt used within this time, just standby.
Same programs are installed as on WM5.
Anyone here, who can confirm the weird performance concerning battery life under WM6?

Is Artemis able to work with such a type of cards after ROM upgrading?

I've flashed my HTC P3300 with the German O2 Orbit Rom. I have an CID locked device, but with the USPL Loader it works perfectly.

I want to thank pof for developing such a great tool!

No Problems so far, except the same as in WM5: I can't disable vibrition for "SMS Sent", because its not available in sounds menu.

Sorry for my english, i'm Austrian. :D
