Try one of three things:
1) Use the "GPRS Always On Tweak" (copied from the Wiki):
Open the following key in a Registry Editor (Total Commander\Resco Registry\PHM regedit\etc): 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A 38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\(GPRS connection name)'
o (GRPS connection name) is the name of your connection to the outside world
* The 'AlwaysOn' value can be set to '1' to remain on permanently or '0' to turn on and off as required
For example, to set the data connection always on for a T-Mobile MDA Pro
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A3 8-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\T-Mobile Internet\AlwaysOn = 1
2) Switch to a different ROM (I recommend Midget's V1.0 - I'm using it on my Exec and have had no problems with GPRS\UMTS)
3) If your work is REALLY IMPORTANT than goto the O2 website and go back to WM5 - you should only be using a custom ROM if its ok that your device mulfunctions occasionally
And one more thing: please stop creating new threads for your problems. Post iin the appropriate thread, then wait
Hope this helps!

Get a Registry Editor (such as PHM Regedit: http://vidmes.com/Uni/Apps/regedit.Rpr_ARM.CAB)
Goto the Key: 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A 38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\(GPRS connection name)'
ie Open 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' then, under that open 'Comm', etc
NOTE: '(GPRS connection name)' is the name of your GPRS provider, so mine is '3services' the T-Mobile example is 'T-Mobile Internet'
Modify the value for 'AlwaysOn' to be '1'
This can be done by double-tapping the word 'AlwaysOn' in the bottom panel of PHM Regedit
(Also, no offence meant (especially if English isn't your first language), but this is a forum, not MSN, so please use correct English, grammar, etc. This shows pride for your language\country if you do speak English as a primary language and makes it easier for non-English speakers to understand you)
Anything else, feel free to ask\PM\email\add me to your MSN list (this goes for all people on the Xda-Dev forums :D
Enjoy!

"@grayme: Sorry, but what is PMSL?"
Type "PMSL" into google and hit "Search", then click on the first search result
And we can't make a patch file, as the registry key that needs to change is individual to each network provider (and may be different if you named your connection differently.
The best thing to do is get a registry editor and look through your registry. Eventually the instruction I gave you will begin to make sense...
(ps. I don't like noob bashing - but I won't resist if you insist on using "IM spk" in a forum for developers/hackers/tweakers...)
